This is a new income avenue I've been researching and now wanting to put the desire into action and I can't thank you enough for your tutorials. You are concise, clear and seem sincerely passionate about passing on the things you've learned. THANK YOU!! I took a TON of notes and will be ordering some supplies!
I've been trying to find a second source of income that will be able to get me out of a tough spot and that I know i can benefit from in the future. I'm new to this and I feel that this is the thing I've been looking for...for a very long time! Thank you for being transparent about what you use. I will definitely continue to watch your videos for insight and research before I jump for it head first lol.
No better time than today to get started!! Even if books isn't your long term plan it can be a great stepping stone and allows you to learn and make cheap mistakes as you grow!! Get out there and hustle!! 👊
Thanks a ton for for all this info. Super helpful. Quick question. I keep seeing all these people, yourself included, talking about what they make a month selling books. In your case, are you talking about profit? Or are these just your gross sales numbers? Thanks again.
In order to clear $5,000 a month what would the average time spent per week be? Time spent thrifting, listing and shipping? I'm seriously considering jumping into this full time. Thanks in advance and thanks for the informative and helpful content.
Question. I have never seen a used book for sale on Prime. I’ve seen them from private sellers but not fulfilled by Amazon. So how do you list used books on FBA?
just found you on RUclips & stoked to get started. Tried signing up for Avery's free training but no dates are available. Is this still being shown? Please say it's still available 😟
Thank you for your video, really helpful. But can’t find the PBA option… When I try to sing in Amazon seller, it says I need paid monthly, that’s the only way? As well I only have the option as a professional… thank you
A little misleading? Have you ever talked about your net profit? I heard you say you average 17k a month. But after all is said and done, because I can only imagine how many items you have to sell and how much you are paying per item Vs what it sells for, your profit must only be like 3-5k a month. Just want people to know what they may getting into, and if you are in the top tier of sales, the people watching may only be making $500 a month or less for lots of work.
Hey there, i was able to sell books before but lately any book i scan says restricted. i have 2 accounts all in good standing but all of them now show restricted
I'm pretty sure you have to list the items before you send them because Amazon has to know what the inventory being sent is so it can be verified when it arrives.
He made a video that shows exactly that! Look for the video that’s over 5 hours long, sorry I don’t remember the name. That video shows how the whole process works from beginning to end. Scanning books on a shelf, how to read the info on the scanner, how to clean up the books and rate their condition, how to print the labels and how to pack and ship the box of books. It’s a fantastic video and in it he answers all of those questions and concerns.
I would hope you would make sure your mother doesn't have to take a job at Dollar Tree with the money you're bringing in yourself. Very strange and American thing to say about your parent.
Your videos have increased so greatly in quality, background and editing since 2016/2017. Amazing job man. Here to freshen up and get back into books. Great video.
I usually find my books on the curb on trash or recycling day, tied up in bundles. Found a 1st edition of "To Kill a Mockingbird" and 1800's books that way. 😁 I'll try to sell them on Amazon, haven't done it yet, I'm still reading and watching tutorials, like yours before starting.
I try to do FBA when I print the label for the books .When I go back and click to manage inventory I saw inactive out of stock I’m like I didn’t send nothing yet to the ware house yet . I don’t know what to do? I need some help please . Why they said out of stock, restock I wasn’t finished to print the label .
I’ve been selling books via Amazon for about 5 years (100% positive feedback), but not through FBA. At this point, because of the race to the bottom on prices and the free shipping with FBA, I can’t compete. People selling books for less than $5 with free shipping screws every other seller; especially, the ones doing seller fulfilled orders. Now, I either have to become part of the collective or find another avenue to sell the 4000-plus books I have. I’ve started listing lots of 50 random books in my eBay store, but I don’t want to settle for anything less than $2/book…
This video is really informative, straight forward and forward thinking- No BS, just straight up talk on how to sell books and be successful at it. Thank you!
New seller. 95%of all profitable used books are gated and need a purchase invoice. I've scanned a truckload of profitable used books that I couldn't sell becauce I needed a purchase invoice. It's been 3 months and I cant see it working.
I think 🤔 fba charges you fees where as a merchant account does not. I sold a few books and was doing well. I believe this is why i didn’t go with fba.
Hello, thanks for sharing your experience with people like me. Am having an issue trying to sell some books that my boss gave to me from work . Apparently, Amazon is asking me for documents like , invoice , prove of address matching the information that am trying to sell, show a combine purchase of at least 10 units and so on, I really don’t know what to do on this aspect , please , I will need your advise if possible. Thanks
Question: Do I have to set up a seller website to list my books on Amazon or does my inventory just go onto the main Amazon site for them to take care of?
I’m new to this and keep getting the message that I can not sell refurbished items and Amazon is not accepting applications. I can’t list a single book and it’s frustrating. Anybody know a way around this or if I’m doing something wrong? Thanks
Trying to sign up on the Amazon Seller account. And it is not giving me an option for the free account. The only option I have is to pay the monthly fee right off the bat... Wth??? Is there something I'm doing wrong here?
Anyone in Arizona Looking to get higher next level .Help you Understand what you need set up scan by volume I will help run your warehouse if that's where you want to excel to.
Thank you! I signed up to be an Amazon seller. I haven’t listed anything but looked around and I’m confused how I choose to ship right to Amazon instead of to the individual person.
@@Raikenprofit thanks for the info...I have a question... when you say you ship boxes to Amazon, how big are the boxes. Do you have a standard size and ship when filled? Do you pay for shipping? Could you drop boxes off at local Amazon fulfillment centers? Thank you for your help ☺️
pro is a fixed set price that you pay and you keep all profit from selling no matter how much you sell, free they take a small percent per sale i think like a dollar per sale and you have no monthly fee. i suggest doing the free plan until you start increasing volume so the 39.99 option makes more sense then.
I'm looking to get into this and have a key question. First let me say: I like the video(s) and appreciate the advice. You and many others are putting out videos on selling book. Honest question: Why would you (and others) put out videos on how to sell books when new comers would be competition and cutting into your business? Thanks
Selling on the Internet, rarely does anyone ever cut into anyone's business. Especially thrifting for items, we all come across different items at different times. The only way anyone could possibly undercut your business is if they sold all the same exact books and undercut your prices on every single book. But even trying to do that, there are so many buyers that you would still make sales. So with that in mind, we are not competitors. Theres room for us too.
Thanx for this video. I listen very closely and learn from you. People tell me, “well Carmen, it doesn’t look like you are making much profit.” Yea that’s true, but I have learned from my mistakes. In the beginning I was buy books with too high BSR, wasn’t watching the condition of the books like I do now and I was buying books that was given me 2-3 dollar profit. But not anymore!!!!!!! I watch my bars closer now with everything else. I even went to my inventory and got rid of at least 100 books that weren’t selling. Best thing I ever did. For the first time Amazon sent me 200 dollars. I know it may not seem like a lot to most people, but for me, it gives me hope that I’m going the right direction now. 🙂
Hello -GREAT VIDEO. One major challenge for me is tip # 10 - that service is only for Americans, unfortunately. Is there a solution for Canadian sellers for restricted books? Thank you in advance
Hello! I’m new to selling on Amazon. I have 58 books under 1,000,000 sales rank listed on my account as fbm to start off. How long does it roughly take to see my first sale? And could me selling as fbm be the reason I’m not selling?
Quick question. I know scanners are used to help list books for shipment however your video mentioned the Nadamco scanner for use in the thrift stores. How does this work, is it linked to Scout IQ on your phone?
Your mother is an inspiration to make a better life for herself n your a wonderful son for honoring her
step 1 pay for a scanner, step 2 pay for another subscription which amazon already cover it all, step 3 this isnt a 2024 video

How do you get an FBA as opposed to an FBM? Does it just ask you which one you want when you create the account?

Why kind of books do you buy?
