Тогда, в 2003-м, я очень мало знал об игре, у меня был маленький монитор, и я не знал, что в правой панели есть прокрутка, из-за этого я не мог строить многие продвинутые здания и юниты, и я первый раз проходил игру чисто с GI, даже когда играл за русских, старался захватить американские казармы и строить морпехов.
Первая моя игра из серии C&C был Tiberian Sun, поэтому я имел представление об интерфейсе таких игр. Несмотря на то, что Рэд Алерт 2 удобнее сделан и менее забагован и в целом лучше, мне больше нравится Tiberian Sun как атмосферой нуара, так и визуалом.

Deployed GIs believe that theyre safe, but theyre wrong. They only have limited range and theyre vulnerable to long range ones, and also can be crushed by the battle fortress
They can be crushed by most vehicles, deployed or not, so basic MBTs (Grizzly, Rhino, Lasher) are better. The one that immune to crush is Guardian GI which can only be run over in deployed mode by BF, or more precisely, anything that has OmniCrusher=yes parameter. Meaning if you can port Overlord from Generals or Mammoth Mk.3 from C&C3 (also RA3 Apocalypse and Assault Destroyer) into RA2 with their unit parameters intact, both of them can crush deployed Guardian GI as well. To put it simple, OmniCrusher means "can crush vehicle"
The Sniper one is predictable lol. And the Yuri/Psi-troop ones are horror movie stuff if you think about it. Your friends just suddenly start shooting at you. 😊 At least other weird and horrifying scenarios like being melted by the Desolator are straightforward.
The worst part is, if the AI straight up ignored mind controlled units unless ordered to fire on them, it'd do better against Epsilon adepts. Seriously though, X+1 units that are immune to their own weapons effectively hard-counter X Epsilon Adepts. But any unit you mind control is for all practicalk purposes killed as their buddies gun them down. ... You're right, it *is* horror movie stuff. The kind where the only reason the horror monster goes this far is because he's pit against brain dead people.
I am playing this game for a while now and i dont know how to move a bunch of units and attack a the same time like ordering units to move in a direction and attack anything in its path with choosing the targets manually. There is an option in C&c Generals for this but not in this game.
man crazy ivan's suck... I never liked them. Sad about tesla troopers -- feel like tesla weaponry in RA 2 was all nerfed into uselessness, except the eifel tower.
They have an animation in case a spy disguises himself as one. But then if you see one walking, you know it is a spy, only if you know your units well.
Shovels are indeed dangerous, just ask Ukraine. Spoiler, this is meant as a dark joke, don't get triggered over a nothing burger. Also the movie stars from second Allied mission in Yuri's revenger are missing

Range matters in this battle.
But long range ones like Sniper and Virus along with Tanya, Seal and Boris are a disadvantage for stationary GIs

Basically you can only out-range, one-shot or swarm them. So they are the best basic infantry unit in the game.

It doesn't make sense to go by same cost , it should be same amount of units to make it fair
Cost makes it more fair. Otherwise, in same numbers, the expensive unit will win most of the times.
