man i like a lot this little details like hachi turning his foot into a spike foot to walk on ice with no problems or zangetsu in ultimate mode charged attack on episode 2 to cut the bosses from stage 1 and 3 in half when both uses his final desperate attack
I bet when Miriam Faces against this boss, She is like: "Not this b!&ch again!" everyone else is like: "What are you talking about? This is brand new!"
The rest of the game was balanced afterwards and there's one annoying thing, being how his momentum carried through, meaning that if you needed to do precise platforming, you needed to make sure that you would stop your movement before the Hover runs out or you're toast
the game is still freaking difficult even with Hachi. Goddamn if it wasn't for the generosity of lives and continues i would've lost my mind with this one. And to think that some people say the first one was harder...
Since most of the stage names in episode 1 and 4 are referring to the bosses. It can be safe to assume that this stage's name is referring to the boss "singing" a dirge; considering it's a giant siren like creature. Besides that, the way this theme's composed and the sound font used really resembles someone singing. Really nice detail.
This level is just taking Hachi for a walk.
fun thing: Alfred's Burning Sphere makes everyone able to walk on ice unhindered

@@kaiquedomingos6271 You don't need to charge, just time it right.
@@kaiquedomingos6271 also, when hachi walks on spikes his legs turn into tank wheels
that saved my ass big time when i had to do this level with the original team without Hachi.
@@dioshoes9096 yep, it also becomes tank treads when treading on poison pools and the fast moving rails during the chairot boss.

CotM 1&2 bosses so much stronger (and cooler too) than they version in RotN
CotM games are in a different universe than RotN, so this Miriam hasn't faced Vepar before.
i love how unsettling this track is, perfect for a ghost town covered in ice. it just _feels_ desolate
Desolate and ruled by a giant demon
@@leonardofarias8843 Vepar, right?
00:09 That's some queen singing her dirge right there
Brilliant Void leitmotif

This is like the polar opposite of the town in Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (no pun intended).
I like how it gets super wonky then straightens itself out with a very strong melodic chorus
You ever think about how Hachi is the most broken character in this game by a long shot ?
Yes, this CUTE LITTLE BASTARD can walk into the spikes, "fly", is super strong and even can become invincible

Hachi is just such a good boy.
I love the victorian feel this track has, fits perfect with hachi's design, even his walk fits it haha.
Best track in the game, but the entire ost is solid!
I also really like the first stage music and the boss music as well
Easily the best and most memorable.
Personally, I think Curse 1's music is more memorable, but this one is definitely really solid.
3:30 is it me or did I just FEEL that internal screaming?

Hachi is one of the best characters in the game.
Some of the better music of its kind

As a cat person, I hate how useful Hachi is xD
I'm a cat person too, but that doesn't change the fact that Hachi is an incredibly good boi
@@samuelmitschele-dauenhauer2984except when he hovers when you just want to jump normally. Hate that shit.
My favourite in the entire game.
I think: Good Boy! ❤
Best part @0:54
I'm scared. I get the "Scandleous/Batdance" Prince reference. I don't know anything about Prince other than his work on the 1989 Batman soundtrack.
huh?
Reminds me of the 5th alternate stage on super ghouls n ghost on gameboy
