Nora deserves a better video
I couldnt agree more. Her potential is far beyond what little this video shows. Plus I don't like watching a lot of vert skating. A bowl here and there in your video part is fine, but 90% of this is all vert, and its disappointing.
Riding bowls is fun and looks nice, but when vert most of the video and she's supposed to a street pro its confusing

Looking for a female skater vid to (hopefully) hype up my little sister on skating, remembered Nora but this song is stoopid and skate vids should always have the sound.
This video makes me emotional as all hell. Inspiration at it's finest! I can't wait to get over some of my fears and skate like this.

I feel conflicted about criticising because Nora is a ripper, you only have to watch episodes with the female pros on KOTR to know that, but 99% of this video was poor, am I 1) jealous that she's courageous enough to pursue art? Yes 2) Irrefutably aware of how ridiculously attractive she is? Yes. But..
Show use the skate footy, the real footy, like the kickflip disaster on the bank, or the bs 3 in the bank gap. Then cut it and leave us wanting more.
Pro promos of any gender should always be skate centric. Male pro features are, you only have to quickly search to find that out: ruclips.net/video/7EuNycDVhGk/видео.html - whilst I have none of Nora's tricks shown here, this was the polar opposite, and the only reason I went to the trouble of writing this is because I think it's a shame.
Adidas celebrating how behind the times they are with their first female pro? They make it sound like a first for skateboarding. Not to take away from her but this seems like a "look at us we're progressive" from Adidas.

Edit: Please go watch this year's mens and womans street X-Games part. If the ladies want to claim no difference then request we have a mixed competition instead.

There is no difference in skating. Unfortunately this video is shit because it limits what she can do. I just find park and vert footage boring.

Looks like she got a lot better from the Thrashers video, but this could just be edited to show her best tricks where the Thrasher video showed her fails and bails which were many. She has a dope style too.
Super fun to watch Nora skate, she has a great style and she skates like she is having a blast...but an axel stall in slow motion without a second trick...WTF??? Also, why 5 minutes, there was a TON of repeated tricks. Also, PROPS to Elissa Steamer and Saescha Clarke...the first high level female skaters! For all you youngsters, Saescha Clarke was a friend of Eddie "El Gato" Elgurea and she was doing FAST 360 flips in 1991...and to fakie on a 5 ft quarter...
And Peggy Oki was a Zephyr back in the 70's riding with Alva and Peralta. Women have been killing it in skating since the beginning.

Great, watched through this. At last, some actual skateboarding! It was such a bang when she was given pro status, but most of my personal awe towards that was taken away with way too many lifestyle videos, talking shit (subjective, of course, since she addresses many gender equality issues, which kind of discussion is important in itself, but far from the art of skateboarding itself, hence my choice of an inflammatory word) and the sorts. I mean, this is not an attack on gender discrimination. A pro skateboarder just has so much more impact if they stuck to doing just that, skate. Verbal discourse in midst skaters is just so fucking boring and the opposite of inspiring. There's shit to be said, sure, and in case of Nora I'm sure she didn't have much choice to focus on purely what she does for profession, but it was just so refreshing to just see her skating and she rips.
This is coming from across the pond by the way, so in before everyone comes forth on their arguments about her impact on a smaller or local scene, ie. not youtube'd, which probably is worthy of mentioning.
Food for thought: an easy favorite, Dennis Busenitz, wouldn't be my favorite skater if his media outlet percentage between skating/talking of, say, 90 to 10 (I know, oversimplified and probably a bad guess) was switched around. Same thing why I tend to keep following skaters on insta who post out actual skateboarding. The other stuff is.... just.... blah. There's so much more interesting things to follow for that purpose. Do I sound like a child that needs sheltering? Where's my online chaperone?!?

Clips were from adidas, transworld, CCS, berrics, vans, tactics, and just about every other youtube video of her. They get around copyright on youtube by not using the audio. That's why the shitty soundtrack.
