Personal opinion, if they continued this Spider-Man series, I would have been interested in seeing Sandman try to become a hero. He was a guy who simply got on the wrong side of the law, but cared for people deep down. Even seeing him fight alongside Spidey would be amazing. Just my opinion however, feel free to disagree.
I like it on a character level, but I think plotwise Sandman would be annoying to write. He's just unbeatable by normal people so either you need a reason he's not winning alone or an excuse to make him a liability. Wouldn't be impossible to write well but would be hard.
In comics that kinda did happen somewhat. Sandman joined Silver Sable (if I remember correctly) as a suicide Squad-esque team.
@@ShadowknightEX technically for a very short stint he even joined the avengers to gain a pardon so he could see his daughter again. But being constantly harassed by the press he wasn't able to see her anyways.
The 2012 Ultimate Spiderman does this. Many of Spiderman's villains become heroes including Venom and Sandman.
Well this is not really possible... NO WAY HOME SPOILER AHEAD

Sandman should not start as Lawful Good, he’s a criminal and he killed Uncle Ben. At most he could be chaotic good.
Agreed
CG is still too generous, but I suppose you could still make the argument that he isn't quite in the evil catagory. I would still say he leans CE though.
@@agsilverradio2225 Yeah since he didn’t intent to kill Uncle Ben, and in fact felt very remorseful. Obviously it doesn’t excuse what he did but in my opinion I think that makes sense - CN
@@agsilverradio2225 D&D alignment 101 the simplified version.
Sandman becomes a criminal (Chaotic) to raise enough money to save his daughter (Good)
Killing Uncle Ben in the heat of the moment and hating himself for it: Chaotic Neutral. Also happened multiple years in the past soooooo doesnt impact his current alignment.
I would agree on the Lawful Good bit, but not Chaotic Good. Neutral Good because he never intended to harm people, and stole from things with infrastructures. The fact he killed uncle Ben is nothing really, it was an accident, he just threatened but it was clear he never wanted to hurt him. However his partner startled him, making him pull the trigger. I do think Lawful Good and Chaotic Good is a stretch.
Norman and Otto seemed to be ok guys until they injected themselves with an unstable supersoldier formula or were taken over by an evil ai.
I don't know if the AI can even be called "evil." It just wants to do what it was created for and it lacks a moral compass. Otto supplies the plans and morals the arms just enhanced his drive to complete the experiment.
@@DracoMagnius from the way I understand it, the AI serves as an uninhibited voice of Otto's desires, which slowly tempt him into following his impulses. It's not evil, but you are right, it has a desire, which we see at the end
@@DracoMagnius even if they are right they're limiting his inhibitions and morality is part of your Innovations ain't it
4:30 Actually, I would call this CG for Norman. He's ready and willing to help.
...
P.S. Actually, maybe NG.
A CG would more likely insist on helping weather Pete wants or or not.
I would call the bank robbery CN. He is still putting people in danger. He isn't exactly Carman Sandiego here. (that could be an alinement video)
Well yeah, he’s much easier to find!
What alignment is Carman Sandiego? wow...I don't even know if there's enough material to go on. There was a cartoon in the ..uh. early 2000s? But she doesn't actually play that big a roll if memory serves. More like a smarmy objective for the protagonists to overcome each episode while going on about geography.
She's a "Gentlemen Crook" of sorts. Stealing priceless landmarks isn't a lawful or Good action. But I'm unsure what she ever plans to do with them. If she even has a plan. The reason she does this , it would seem, is for sport rather than any real profit. Kind of a Neutral bend. Further more she doesn't seem to ever hurt anyone in the process. Something that has to be harder than it looks when you're shoplifting Big Ben.
I'd say Chaotic Neutral? Maybe even True Neutral? She's not a good person. But she's not really evil either.
@@lordundeadrat Probably, much like his take on Road to El Dorado.
@@lordundeadrat there is actually a full 4 seasons of Carmen Sandiego Netflix series. And a special movie with multiple choices. There is enough material to go through for a video
@@ЗолотойЗомби-г2о While I enjoyed that series pretty well, I don't recall that version of the character really making different kind of decisions, alinement wise
Arguably, the bank van robbery is more Chaotic Neutral. The money he took from the bank would not have been usable on his daughter's surgery. The money is too hot in order to be able to be used so quickly on his daughter's surgery. This giant sum of cash was taken from point A and then this equally giant sum of cash was suddenly used in point B would cause serious problems for his kid, possibly implicating his ex-wife. He would need to sit on the cash for some time before he could ever think of using it. He would have honestly been better off following what his comic counterpart does, serving as an enforcer for some gang/mob on the agreement that they finance his daughter's operation. Though I suppose that would require the movie to then introduce and bring in the organized crime side of Spidey's universe i.e. Tombstone, Hammerhead, etc.
Edit: To add to this, we are also assuming he didn't burst every ink packet, marking the bills, as he grabbed them and a hospital would allow for someone to pay for a surgery in cash.
If he took it with the intention of using it for the surgery, I'd say it'd still counts, even if practically it would be dumb to do so.
I doubt he would take the exact amount he needed. If he were smart, he’d take a bit more so the numbers don’t match up as you say
Kingpin: What am I, chopped liver?!
@@JaelinBezel I associate him more with Daredevil
he also put civs at risk
First, I would like to make an argument for sandman’s bank robbery being evil primarily due to the fact that innocent people could end up harmed by his actions and he didn’t care. I would say lawful evil for it as it went for the highest payout for the least collateral damage and for the cause of saving his daughter. That being said I understand the original ding for it and you do make a compelling argument. Second I would love to see you do “Bad Santa”
I just love how well and catharticaly they are treated in the new film
Venom is very much a Chaotic Good character as in the comic or at least in the Lethal Protector, he went out of his way to protect people, he would never harm innocent people.
Becomes that eventually yes, but at least starts off with comic villain vibes, I believe. I'm no expert, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
But this wasn't the comics or even the Tom Hardy movies.
This depiction of venom is similar to his early appearances in the comics, gleefully evil.
@@TomboyCEO even originally Venom was not super evil. He wanted revenge on Spider-man alone. It's like calling spider-man evil for wanting to avenge his uncle
@@owenhermann6332 okay, fair. As I said, I'm no expert.
Huh... These bad guys were a lot more fun that I remember.
Grounded may not be the right word to describe what's wrong with the Lizard, Electro and Harry Goblin .2 since the Vulture was very grounded and still a great villain.
About characters that have a good day and became better persons the first person to come to mind is Archer when he becomes a dad.
If not you may want to take a look at The Owl House, it has some great characters.
I love your videos. But I have a "little sugestion"
End the "Ding Section" with a close up of the alignment [That word is weird.] circle. Specially in multycharacter videos.
I usually pay more atention to the coments on top and what you say than the displacement so I have to pause to look for a moment.
Also, I think it would look cool.
Alfred Malino and William Dafoe were so good in these movies
I agree. That’s why I’m going to like your comment.
(Talking abt Andrew's movies) "They feel a bit too grounded-" I understand that yeah, it feels too realistic, but was that a joke on Electro's behalf?
yup....totally...I am very smart...be sure to subscribe....for more smart jokes like that
@@TheLoadingCrew Actually, I already have subbed. But whether that was intentional or not, it was still hilarious.
You should revisit these villains when you align/review the No Way Home characters.
7:20
Norman "Sorry I'm late. Work was murder."
May "Where do you work?"
Norman "That wasn't a metophore. I'm a assassin."
John Wick reference
@@JaelinBezel I wouldn't know. I never seen Jhon Wick, nor am I interested to.
Since you asked about requesting villains who ultimately turn good for complex reasons. The best I can think of is Zero from Drakengard 3.
I would love to see bad Santa on here, would be a nice laugh
Personally, I expected an alignment shift for Otto when the arms took over
Bad Santa Alignment sounds like a lot of fun!
A Bad Santa video could definitely be fun. Honestly, I think the best place to find interesting "clearly-established villain gets one good day and then it leads to their redemption" stories is in cartoon shows with a primary demographic of children. There's this interesting trend of imparting a "value of forgiveness" moral, and then SHOWING them actually trying to atone, rather than just saying "oh, they're all friends now, everything is fine". Just to name a few, there's Cedric from Sofia the First, Discord from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Peridot from Steven Universe...
According to Raimi, Bernard in _Spider-Man 3_ was actually a hallucination embodying Harry’s conscience.
That sounds dumb. And why would a hallucination know things the person having it didn’t?
@@JaelinBezel Not sure hat you mean. At that point Harry knew that Norman was the Green Goblin.
Unfortunately the only villain who gets their good day to turn good is megamind... Which you've already done. Oh, Gru from Despicable Me!
What about The Shade?
@@JaelinBezel who?
Bad Santa would be interesting.
Don't know if you would do video game character alignments too, but Kriea from "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords" would be interesting.
I seem to recall him doing video game characters before, but I can't remember any specific examples off the top of my head.
I haven’t heard of Bad Santa before, but that pitch is intriguing. Yes please
Loved the video, really enjoyable to watch.
Came up with a suggestion for a series while in the shower, how about Total Drama, the animated reality show?
You could focus on one character like the show's host Chris McLean (I predict true neutral to chaotic evil), or on a small group of characters like the m̶e̶s̶s̶y̶ relationship between Courtney, Duncan, Gwen and Trent.
Either way, keep doing the characters you wanna do and your enjoyment is sure to keep making the videos fun to watch!
The quintessential villain reformed by "one good day" is, of course, the Grinch
If I could make an suggestion, can you do D&D alignment for the characters of Infinity Train please?
YES
Only just started the video... But I think it would have been neat if seperated norman Osborne and the "the goblin" at first. Norman has no control or memory at first, so they are essentially 2 seperate characters. Then they eventually fuse and become one as the goblin completely takes over
If i had a nickel for every time Green Goblin got got by his own glider, I'd have two nickels.
Loved these movies and their villains. Willaim Defoe's voice is so badass and Sam Raimi's direction during the close-quarters fight scenes is simply Nat 20.
Have you thought of doing the Pokemon games? I know they don't have voice acting, but Lysandre, S/M Lusamine, or even N and Ghetsis would be pretty cool. I guess it'd have to be more of a video essay format? I dunno, just throwing random crap out there. :)
I watched Bad Santa quite recently. I think a video on that would good
the editor's cut of 3 is mostly the same movie but has an infinitely better version of Harry deciding to help Peter at the end, it's implied that he might still even think Peter killed his father but he's willing to help anyway because he loves his friends
I would like to see your analysis of bad santa!
Id say multiple personalities count as seperate people until they either start communication efforts with the other personality in order to start trying to assimilate them, or not if they choose to stay as a seperate soul. So id say that after goblin makes contact with osborne, Norman is set at chaotic good or neutral good up until he starts to communicate with goblin. How ever I can't argue with you keeping it so simple because they do seem to be the same at certain points and share personality traits.
My favorite line had to be @ 19:34 "Jesus don't do that"
"work was murder" is so good
If you’re going to do Bad Santa, then I’m going to assume that next D&December will be primarily Christmas related movies. Aside from the ones that get put in for algorithmic success. So here is my list of suggestions. Note, I am going to rely on memory as best I can to not suggest one that you’ve already done, like Diehard.
-Kevin McAllister, home alone one and two
-George Bailey, it’s a wonderful life
-Ebeneezer Scrooge, Muppet Christmas Carol. Alternately , the CGI Disney animated Christmas Carol where he was played by the same person who played all three ghosts. I think it was Jim Carrey in the role.
-Mr. Ton and Haida , Aggretsuko, because I’m assuming the next season will come out around the same time season 4 did.
-Ralphie, a Christmas story, and optionally the sequel where he’s in high school.
Adding one more, Scott Calvin, the Santa Clause
"Murder Drones" pilot pls. (day 12).
MAN, this was a heck of a ride. Doing so many characters at once makes this very fast paced.
I can think of one good story about a villain having a one good day story and it's a Joker story, But you probably wouldn't do comic story review, It is an elseworld Batman Story so you only really have to worry about that story and maybe it's sequel story. The story is called the White Knight about what happens when the Joke becomes sane, sues the city, runs for office and works with the police to help make Gotham better. But Batman wants nothing to do with him and starts becoming a lability to the city that the Joker now called Jack has to deal with.
Off the top of my head, villians that had one good day then became good guys:
Ebenezer Scrooge
Jean Valjean
The Shade?
Fun fact about real life octopus that a large portion of their brain neurons are scattered throughout their arms so the fact that doctor octopuses Arms kind of have a mind of their own is weirdly and I think accidentally true to life but still kind of interesting in and of itself. Also As much as I will always agree that Topher Grace was a horrible Choose for Venom I think he has the perfect look for Carnage.
Loved this and your insight at the end. I love seeing these multi part villain ones and wouldn’t be opposed to seeing this for Amazing Spider-Man or for No Way Home
Sandman starting at lawful good while literally being a criminal makes no sense.
yeah...that was legit a mistake I didn't catch until after this video's release. short story is the script said chaotic good but I said lawful for whatever reason
19:30
You can't ask God to kill someone.
Yeah! You do your own dirty work
Bad Santa would be fantastic.
While we’re on Christmas, do Ebinerzer Scrooge
will you settle for kevin mccalister?
“Chaotic EEEEVVVIIILLLLL” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
14:32
Watching this as I’m sitting in the theater waiting for No Way Home to start 👏🏻
Bad things for good reasons sounds like he’ll like Taylor Hebert
nat 20 for "butterfingers!"
also now you gotta do a vid on TASM movies
I think you should add a small outline or glow to the image on the alignment wheel. It's hard to see where they are at sometimes, especially on the darker evil side of it.
An example of a villain that had a good day and then reformed is Harley Quinn in the Batman animated series and Comics and the Animated Series she never fully reforms but in the comics she does
I hope you got to enjoy the new Spiderman without any spoilers. Regardless great video dude and aw what the hell. Let's see One Good Day!
Love bad Santa, you would do an awesome video on it.
i think the sandman bankvan scene should be chaotic neutral since there was a bit too much destruction, and im sure there couldve been a more violence-less way to go abt it. imo a chaotic good would not cause spider-man to get involved
I’m impressed by the iron giant quote
One comment b4 starting is Sandman should be Chaotic good because of the extremes he is still willing to do yo do a good thing
What's bad Santa?
You gotta do Carnage & Shriek next
Hell yeah do Bad Santa
Please do Band Santa, great movie
Bad Santa and the Marc web’s villains
I would argue that Norman Osborn could start at True Neutral since he works for the government for profits and at the first impasse he didn’t hesitate to go against them. He had no principles that made him loyal to anyone except himself. Besides, then his actions would rightfully end him at chaotic evil where I think he belongs.
I agree with everything else. Great vid!!
19:26 - Every Christians knows, that Jesus is actually an Assassin. It's a Common Knowledge, Same for Buddha. XD

@@TheLoadingCrew "Saint Young Men", i know. It's good.
I don't think Leon from The Professional has been done on this channel as of yet? May make a good "villainesque" one good day scheme
Idk which cannon your going by, but in most interpretations that I've seen:
...
Kingpin: LE
Doc Oc, LG->LE.
Green goblin, CE
Mysterio: CN->NE?
Venom: CE->CG?
Carnage: 100% CE
Is it true that Carnage is a nutter butter bar?
@@JaelinBezel he is 100% absolutely insane in the membrane, if he was a box of screwes he would be empty.
yeah man, do bad Santa
Hey, not sure if this is the place to request it, but a What Alignment is Goro Majima analysis would be super interesting. I'm always wondering about where he lies, especially between Law and Chaos.
who is this? from what show? and how long is it
@@TheLoadingCrew Ah, well, it's from a game series called Yakuza. Out of the 8 main series games, he's a playable character with a major focus in one of them, a playable character in a B plot in another, and in the rest he's either a major or minor character.
I suppose it might be a little long to do research for.
Would love to see an alignment video on the bad santa movie after that sales pitch at the end.
I think sandman should of started at chaotic good as he is a hardened criminal at the start.
Yes please. please do bad santa
Bad Santa.
Please Bad Santa 1 & 2
bad santa could be fun
Should having the symbiot make the point divide by 2 since there twice as rash as they’d normally be
Bad Santa!!!!!
Well dr COX was once a villan
PS4 Spiderman is a good choice to be included to the alignments.
Taking issue with the chaotic good with Sandman attacking the truck. Putting aside economic debates which weren't likely to be going through his head- he in dangers the public in general and nearly kills two guards just doing their jobs- maybe lawful evil as he's attempting to keep his promise to his daughter but- c'mon man, your child being in danger, no matter how much that could hurt, doesn't give you the right to take away what could be the fathers of two other children and even if they weren't well- c'mon, he could have snuck money out in so many ways, instead of actively choosing to do things in a way that was likely to get people killed. Personally, even if it did save my little sis, if I wantonly killed or nearly did in the process of getting her medicine- I would have trouble looking her in the eyes because of how ashamed I would be of myself.
I searched your channel, but just seeing him pop up in this video, have you considered doing one on J Jonah Jameson, based on the severity and direction of his views in the Spiderman movies? Like, is he calling for violence, responsibility, hatred, punishment, just a thought. Probably start at Lawful Neutral at least.
I think I can. I'm just trying to think of ways I can stretch his small appearances into a full length video
I'm watching this at a cafė so 22:18 made me burst out laughing as it got me off gaurd
Well, Lizard is actually going to show up in the new movie, becuase he is in one of the shots with Electro and Sandman.
I mean the bank robbery I'd put on law evil since he's stealing that don't belong to him for his benefit (albiet nobly but still) but I get where your coming from
Hello Peter
please do bad santa

Do one for Mr Aziz
Wouldn’t you half anything done as venom as it’s an amplifier so naturally you would do half as much
Chance of PS4 version of the villains and Spidermen?
Like the joker.
What? Bro code? Does Mary Jane not have control over her dating life to?
Someone who actually has the confidence to pursue a relationship and give Mary Jane attention, shouldn't just because his friend has a secret crush on her?
Heater barely talks to her. She's not a toy, she's not a car, she is a person, and Peter is not entitled to her just because he has a crush on her. I'm sure there's tons of other people who had a strong crush on Mary Jane for a long time, she's beautiful and popular.
That doesn't mean every single person in the school needs to back off and wait to the first person who had a crush on Mary Jane to finally make their move.
And what if the feelings are unreciprocated? That's years of potential relationship and romance at Mary Jane and other people would miss out on just because they were all sitting around waiting for Mr "doesn't make a move" to finally make a move.
Bro-code is very possessive and doesn't treat women as equals to your bro.
Make a move, make your feelings known to the person, or keep your hurt feelings to yourself when someone else makes a move and it works out for them.
The icons are quite hard to see this time.
Can you talk about venom as venom you know the good not the person unless it's necessary
Once spoiler period ends, will you update this chart with NWH events?
Sandman is not a good guy. At the start of the film he’s an escaped criminal and murderer. In the bank Robbery he puts in I at lives at risk for his own goals. Yes it’s to save his daughter, but putting innocent lives in danger to save someone else is not a good act.
In the coming year could we get the Danmachi & Konosuba characters?
konosuba sounds fun. not super into danmachi but I bet yaro shien would be down for that
@@TheLoadingCrew lets see for Konosuba
