for context about why my mind went here. I'm in a different country and work for a gov department that isn't the tax/revenue office but we do get ppls info from them. cases where we get 2 returns through for someone for the same year normally ends up being 1 of 2 things - either identity fraud (so ppl show bills or even sometimes returns because there is someone out there using their id number with an employer) or intertwined records - somehow 2 peoples details have got mixed up/intertwined accidentally. both circumstances are not great though at least the second one isn't someone being bad on purpose. A friend actually suffered identity fraud in the first way (someone stole their passport when their house was broken into) and used their id number with an employer (so probably didn't have work rights) because my friend wasn't working they didn't know for a few years so took a bit to get sorted. they had no tax bill - but the employer had also been making super contributions and my friend ended up getting to keep them. They were made in their name, they couldn't find the person who committed the fraud and the employer had an obligation to pay..... obviously, UK system will be completely different so could be so many other different things - but wanted to explain why my brain went there! wasn't trying to kill your buzz or anything! Hope everything goes smoothly.
And to think the answer to exactly what my secret project is, is written on the whiteboard behind me the entire video 🤣🤣🤣 shame it's out of focus 😏
