I really don't care if my Dr is paying women for "company" in his personal life but I do care that he gets what he wants a rips others off. I do care that he takes advantage of women in positions that usually wouldn't call the police because of how their making money. That makes him a scumy calculating creep and I don't want that as a doctor.

    Story 3: YTA
I'm a woman. Let me break it down for a man who thinks "this came out of nowhere."
Fighting means she still wants the relationship. She's trying to be heard. It "suddenly getting better" means she realized she was never going to get what she needed from you, and disengaging from the relationship.
Her asking you to pick her up and spend time was her final chance to prove you could put her first, and you blew it.
Men like this will always think that it's not their fault and that it blindised them.
She was begging for you to prioritize her, and you went along on your merry way, happy that she finally shut up, stopped nagging and fighting and everything was "peaceful."
Well, now you can enjoy your peace and quiet. Alone.
Or with the people you really love - your buddies.

What exactly did they want OP to do? Arrest the woman? Son would have to testify. The texts go public. Medical school finds out. That's assuming kid does not get arrested at least for solicitation. A good DA could get him for fraud and few other charges. Pay the woman and be glad she does not have a pimp. Otherwise he would have learned his lesson with a broken arm. At best.

OP and hubby are wonderful people for helping the foster children. They are NTA . The room is meant to help children. But OP and hubby were kind enough to help hubby's homeless brother & his wife. They stayed for 2 months. They truly don't have rights to complain when they are in a warm place, have electric heat food and a bed to sleep on. It is better than none. Bro and his wife should be busy looking for employment, saving money, or looking into programs and new place to live not complain about beds. if other relatives agree with bro, he & his wife can stay with them instead. I would be tired of their complaining & would want to kick them out. Truly glad hubby has a steel back and supports OP and that OP is doing. Kick them out and go back to helping the children cuz I bet they are more appreciative of your and your hubby's help than the brother & his wife.
Bro & his wife should be grateful they have family and relatives who love them and try to help. It sounds like these poor foster children don't even have that. V

But I doubt that.

Here's a thought instead of working so hard to control the bodies of women that don't want kids ..lets try taking a look at the adults that pop kids out like a damn game while knowing full well they cant / won't care for them smfh.

I hope that the lady in the first story gets arrested for misusing her power. I hate corrupt cops like her who even have the gall to ask a question like that to the general public like as if she was asking if a sweater makes her look fat if she wore it in a certain light? I swear some of the people on Reddit have no shame. I listen to reddit honestly because it makes me feel better about my crappy life decisions compared to a lot of people who are out there in these reddit stories. But luckily there are some good people on Reddit who tell people that they are the idiot or they are the a-hole, etc. That's the best part of reddit to me.

But take a drug dealers drugs without paying, there is going to be consequences greater than what it would cost. Pay people whose goods and services you use or don't use them, you can't decide it's morally wrong after then refuse to pay that is way worse.

I see a bunch of these "Woe is me" posts about the future being uncertain. I was that way also, but I did something about it. I got my GED and then joined the Army. After discharge, used the GI Bill to go to Uni. That was 50 odd years ago and I've had a very good life. Have a house paid for years ago, a brand new car, paid for. Have $750,000 in retirement funds but live mostly on my $2300 SSI. Go where I want, do what I want, whenever I want. Raised several kids successfully (all girls) who have carved out successful lives. The only thing that I really want would be to get in a hot tub with Uma Thurman.. Uma, if you're reading this, drop me a line!

Story 1: “My friends helped me and my family a lot with very serious things. When their son tried to stiff a hooker, she blackmailed him into giving her the money or she’d destroy his reputation. They asked me to help him, so I pretended I was going to help in order to collect evidence against this turd (who I seem to loathe for unspecified reasons). Once I had enough evidence, I upgraded the blackmail to actual extortion by threatening of arresting him on to of destroying his reputation.”
Jesus Christ, what a god awful person. If you don’t want to help them just tell them no. I don’t expect her to break the law for her friends kid, but instead she decided to break the law and extort her friends kid. OP sounds like a genuinely bad person, I hope her “friends” realize this and leave her
