Thanks for sharing. I hadn't seen the innards of an "auto pump" before, I only ever bought one pair and they haven't fallen apart yet, just packed away somewhere.
Cheers, buddy. Much appreciated. Yeah, these auto pumps were from the 2.0 runners. 2005 i think.🤔 I have the 04 & 05 Iverson pumps that are thankfully still wearable. The auto pump is pretty much the same, especially with the Iverson IX. And the difference being on the X is that it has different PSI settings.🙏🏻👊
Dude! You've got enough tech on that table to build the custom Retro Man sneaker and make it the most comfortable sneaker in the world!! Haha!! Cheers, buddy, I love watching your tech videos!
This is very fascinating and informational I wish a representative at Reebok could take down notes and watch your videos as a springboard to address Reebok's inferior quality issues of their Pump and non Pump shoes with Hexalite and ERS
Thanks, Rob. Much appreciated. Yeah, hopefully we can shame them into doing the right thing. It is us og's that buy their retro products (for the most part) and they're doing us wrong by giving us pale imitations of their once glorious products.🙏🏻👊
@@TheRetroManRandySavage Everything is rare and stale in comparison they never seem to get the retros right with Reebok Pump or non Pump sneakers I haven't bought any pairs direct from Reebok since April of last year
Those insoles from so long ago, still in nice condition. Amazing. The first thing I always do when I get a good pair of new shoes.. I always get some aftermarket insoles. Nice thick ones! 😉👌
Lol. I remember those science fairs as a kid. Me and my buddies entered one once in middle school. We designed and built a bridge. (Little model, obviously lol) We were measuring the strength of it. How much weight it could hold. Failed miserably! Doh!🤦♂️😂
I can imagine the hexalite has better dampening then the air units. I suspect it's the hexagon walls in the hexalite which helps which probably means less air is needed. The air units in Nike air is almost one unit so the psi might need to be higher due to the effect needed to get cushioning the restriction between the chambers cause the pressure to changes between them when heel to toeing, acting as cushioning. Both tech are quite smart.
Yeah, they have quite a few different pump Systems back then. Mid foot, full foot, collar, arch, midsole. I'd love to get hold of a midsole pump, but it was only ever on one model back in 91. That shoe has never been brought back, unfortunately. Cheers, buddy.🙌
Interesting how they changed the manufacturing over the years and some of it not for the better the airbags are just not as good. Great to see how these are used in the shoes very informative pal They dont make them like they use too awesome share
They don't make the pump system like then, I think my pump system are bad, the air inside is drying out on its own after some time. I need to clear my pump too lol. Nice video my brother I hope you're well. Much love from Brazil 🙏🏼
reebok needs to really go back to how they did things . i really wish they would contact you and tell them how it done . they need a sneaker OG all this cheapness is ridiculous that what made them great and they went away from it . ✊️🙏
It's amazing how trainers nearly 30 years old still probably have the best technology for comfort buddy but mind you I think my feet would destroy any insoles within a week I have really bad sweaty b*stars for feet 🤣👍
Yeah, the tech in modern retros has definitely declined. It doesn't even compare to the 80s & 90s tech. Lol. Yeah, I know what you mean. If I'm not wearing socks my kicks start smelling of vinegar after one wear, lol. The tiniest bit of sweat sets them off. I'm ok as long as I'm wearing socks though.👊😂
Just a quick updated vid of some original Reebok Pump tech that I've collected over the year's, after taking apart the shoes.
You're like a shoe professor. Excellent break down!👍👍
Lol. Thanks, I'll take it.😂🙌
Great sharing!!
Cheers buddy.🙌
Reebok pump technology rocks I love it
Back when Reebok rules the sneaker industry.🙌
@@TheRetroManRandySavage yes sir
I never would of thought we was walking around on that stuff back in the day Randy buddy 👊
I was amazing tech.
Was it the pump graphlite running shoe you had?
I'm sure I remember you telling me you had some pumps in the early 90s.🙌
A very good sharing and excellent content. Time to sit back and enjoy.
Cheers, buddy.👍
Fantastic champ!! Thanks for doing this, it is very educational.
Thanks, buddy. Much appreciated.🙏🏻👊

@@retroprojectionsyeah, good extra insoles are a must.
The ones shoes come with today are terrible.
Paper thin.😂

Yeah, it's amazing just how similar the hexalite feels to zoom.
I've had them in my vandals, lol. It really boosts the cushioning.
🙏🏻👊
Bringing back old school shoes. I bet these young ins don't know what a reebok is man. How are you doing today?
Old is gold.😂🙌
Damn this was great. Never had a clue as to what the pump mechanisms looked like.
You need to get yourself on mastermind amigo 😄. Have a goodun mate.

I hear that. They need people who really care about the brand making the decisions.
Making the right decisions and giving og fans what they want.🙏🏻✊
Is it true these shoes will make me jump higher? And will they make me a better athlete? And will girls finally like me? 😳😝
You never know. Stranger things have happened.
