@@shinobi-no-bueno God it's so dumb that people are liking your comment, it's a completely bullshit example considering people actually get run over on motorcycles several times per day while people wearing body armor and getting set on fire almost never happens, it would be akin to "And a condom won't stop a shark from biting your dick off hurhur, got ya buddi hurhur" it really shows that most motorcyclists are not intelligent people who are okay with the risks; it's morons who think ignoring the risks means it can't hurt them.
I was in middle school when the pumps came out, so many kids wanted them. For a lot of kids at my school this was like a Christmas present level expense, and one kid found where his parents hid his Christmas pumps sometime in mid-November and he started sneaking them to school in his bag , and once other kids found out about it they'd try and stomp on his feet to scuff them up lol

I never had the real Pumps, but had some LA Gear knockoffs that were sick. The extra support really took my tetherball game to the next level.

I've always wanted a pair of reebok pumps but I grew out of wanting one before ever owning a pair. I own 3 pairs of MSCHF shoes and I really like them so when I saw this collaboration, I knew I had to get one. I put my name down for the sun aged pair, so fingers crossed I get to add one of these to my collection.
I definitely wondered if all those pumps were functional. Thank you for dissecting this shoe and getting us some answers. I never expected them all to work, but I’m pleasantly surprised. That’s cool as hell.
I had a pair of Reebok pumps when I was a kid in the early 90s and when I was 17 they released again and I had to have a pair so these are right up my alley I hope they release more colors I might end up grabbing a pair.
Ah , so many memories from this era. I remember buying a pair of Jordan 3s while on vacation with a friend and his family in California from Arizona. I loved the jordans but when we got home I traded them for a pair of purple, black and white Reebok pumps. Which I ended up not loving, but cool times😢😂

I love the Pumps - preferably the old school ones, pre-Above The Rim - and would wear them regardless of whether the Pump actually works because I’m a sucker for the aesthetic….& I just like that 3D basketball on the tongue haha
I still have my size 8 pumps from when I was a little kid, also the newer ones with the little air cartridge (neon green) that automatically pumped up the shoe.
I was lucky enough my parents kept my old basketball shoes, from some odd reason.

I hand whittled wands also. Sold them for $20 no lathe or anything just hand made.. and fun fact I used boot polish to make them look antique and aged. Sucks into the wood amazingly.
Rocky elk trackers, reasonably priced hunting boot, and one of the only ones on the market advertising heritage style construction. Wouldn't mind seeing them compared to Irish setter and maybe Russell moccasin or something similar in that they're all advertised as heritage hunting boots

I grow up in the 90's & the Reebok pumps were all the rage I saved up my money all summer long just to buy a pair. Wish Reebok could release some of the old school pairs like the Black tops I really love those shoes.

I had a pair in the very early 90's. I liked them quite a bit. It is weird the tech didn't go mainstream since it def made a noticeable difference for fit and support.

I never owned a Reebok pump, but I had an alternate version that used a pump on the side of the ankle to inflate around the foot, instead of the tongue. I think they were Nike's.
I still have my Pump its from when they came out almost brand new I have the suede ones with the pink and green accents on the lower and upper. They go for a decent penny certain ones now which I find crazy but. I remember them cost like $180 or 200 back then so def not cheap.

The original reebok pump was so effective, it used to pump around the heel and toung, I saved up all my birthday money and pocket money to get a pair, they should make the pump standard because it really helps some people, the pump is not as effective now and they are not built as well, but they are still better than nothing, I'll try get a pair of these ❤
The only time i actually hurt myself by rolling my ankle was in a pair of high top Air Force Ones i found at Ross for $30.

I wear Reebok Pumps to support my surgical repaired foot. The added support helps me walk better.
I don't think pumping it up would ever do more than dampen any forces exerted through the shoe, so more for walking not jumping. Same reason we use air pistons to dampen stuff like suspension. You'd need a spring to jump higher, and you'd want the structure as solid as possible to transmit as much of the force from your feet, not dampened. That being said, having people physically jump and the distances involved means statistically it'd do essentially nothing in the best case scenario anyway.
The pump is to make them tighter. That was the whole idea in the first place. You pump it up and make them tight then you can cut faster, run faster, stop better etc…

I have the new Omni Zone, and Twilight Zone. Both are amazing. I also have the Nike Force Pump, and they are super uncomfortable. The Reebok is the better of the two. I'd buy these.

Hi, Weston. Have you ever done football cleats or boots in your channel? Be it American football, soccer, rugby. Traditionally they are made of kangaroo leather but with recent bans and cease of use by big brands (nike and puma, adidas partially) it would be really interesting to see your opinions on k-leather and maybe if there is better leathers or synthetic materials to replace k-leather as the upper for cleats
