      Hello, thank you for your interest in HAGA Oud.
      For planting Aquilaria Crassna, we're using the method of transplanting probiotics (biological compounds) so that the plants can create Oud (Agarwood) by themselves for about 10-11 years till harvest.

    • @hagaoud
      @hagaoud  2 года назад

      Hi, normally we will transplant fungis and biocompounds onto the trunk when the plant reaches maturity by peeling the tree. Then after 2-3 years it is the time for harvesting Agarwood.

      Hello, it depends on the species, but it has to be the tropical climate. This is the most suitable climate for aquilaria crassna.

    Curious... as a professional perfumer and avid consumer of Oud oils, I have to ask:
    could not you just scrub the infected, transformed agarwood (normally 'It' (the resin-rich dark bits and blobs) is Anyway painstakingly scrubbed out from the healthy wood)
    - instead of cutting whole such young trees - re-infect them, to create a new exterior layer of biotreatment, letting tree continue to grow and keep producing the Oud? I've just noticed, how little fungal rot you have on the wood logs, only on the surface, with no resin-rich core at all. Minding, that the real 'Kynam' - in its precise definition, is that accumulated resin, the immune response excreted liquid, not the fungi rot itself, and that's why true high-grade Kynam oils have rather translucent beautiful color (not opaque dark brown) like orange or purplish red, or even pure green. Also keeping in mind that productive age of the trees for Oud is 15-40 years, with best samples older, after much longer maturation period, I have honest doubts, that a Kynam-quality superior (as you claim) oil can be produced with your current method, from such young trees, after such a short ripening time. No offense.

      Hi, sorry for this late reply due to our Lunar new year day off.
      First of all, thank you for your interest in HAGA Oud. The first thing to clarify is the point that we do not use kynam as our raw material for all of HAGA Oud products since they are forbidden from harvesting as well as hardly exit on earth. Our material is Agarwood (oud), which is the kind of wood that licensed for harvest and cultivation.
      Secondly, we don’t just cut the whole trees then re-infect them, cause we use the whole mature infected tree, including Agarwood chip (thin part), Agarwood chunk (trunk core) and white wood part which is less resin than others. Aquilaria growers wait for the tree to mature for 8-10 years, then use various methods to stimulate the tree to secrete its own resin. After 2-3 years, that layer of resin solidifies will form Agarwood for harvesting.
      In the modern days, human beings are trying hard to get rid of exploitation and at the same time we are giving out 100% effort to be eco-friendly. Our farming activities include many stages and the harvesting method we use is successive planting. And on top of that, we follow regenerative agriculture orientation in planting to stick with our sustainable business strategy and give no harm to the Earth
      Thirdly, this is completely regenerative agriculture by successive planting method because we have to register to plant and harvest on one predefined, fixed area of arable land, within a period of time allowed to cultivate on that area. That's why we use successive planting method: harvest 01 - plant 10. For every hectare of Aquilaria tree harvested for raw material, 10 to 11 hectares of the Aquilaria tree are already planted instead, giving a afforestation rate of 10-11 times higher the rate of exploitation.

      @@hagaoud So your oud is artificial because is not done by mother nature, once a human gets involved it becomes artificial 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @hagaoud
      @hagaoud  2 года назад +1

      My company follows sustainable development, not going into the forest them exploiting mother nature, leaving pain that cannot be eased.
      Besides, what we're doing here is regenerative agriculture, and the stimulation is only using natural methods (using biological compounds, not changing the genes of the plants, not changing the substances of the plants). The compounds we're using are non-chemical, so our wood material is not classified as artificial oud.
