- Today we will fit a new complete exhaust system to my Vauxhall corsa D, this is because the previous exhaust had rotten through at the back box and the front flex pipe had began to deteriorate. So why not change the whole system.

Those must be the cleanest cat studs ever - must of had a new cat recently
I have a 1.4 euroflo exhaust sitting in my living room ready to go on my other half's vauxhall corsa. Your video has given me abit of a heads up of the perils that i have ahead of me. I just hope the cat to mid pipe bolts arent seized
That's great, I'm glad it has helped. Yeah I do try and be honest in my videos.
@@TomsDriveway I was quite lucky in that the 3 nuts came off easily enough in the end. The only issue I ran into is that the new flexi pipe would tap the subframe brace under heavy acceleration. Spaced it out about 5mm lower and alls good!
More useful stuff fella, thank you and merry Christmas.
Where did you get the exhaust from?
Corsa d 1.2 exhaust are a bit on the quiet side, so I drilled a 3 inch hole in the back box. Now it sounds more sporty. It also feels a bit more quicker.
I do have to say its good to see a "young guy" actually having a go at doing some car repairs because so many have no skills and seem reluctant to attempt even the basics. Well done pal !
What went wrong is. When ever you disassemble a exhaust. You should start it once to hear the raw sound. Even from 4 cilinders
Thanks for the video. Hoping to fit to a 1.0 Ecoflex at the weekend. A bit different I think but a good guide. Also happened to buy it from Zombie Cars too!
Ayy Great! They are good after market replacements but mine wasnt perfect. Just be careful as a head up!
Hey Tom, great vids always. 👍🏼. Can I ask at 2:11 size nuts are you using? I need to replace mine but they are completely corroded and I'm not sure what size I need? Thanks again, look forward to next vid.
m8 flanged nuts: www.amazon.co.uk/8mm-Serrated-Flange-Hex-Nut/dp/B07KKKX219/
How much did you spend in total? Can you name the tools used please. (And on the previous video) Thanks. Luv the video.
What size is the exhaust bracket for joining together 👍
Hello Tom,thank you for tutorial video.I have a Opel corsa B.How many sensor are there? Where is the second sensor ,Bank 2 located?
Nice video. I aim to be replacing mine in the coming days. Is the only section that needs the assembly paste the pipe connecting to the back box off the middle silencer? Also I haven't got a torque wrench, so how will I know I've tightened the cross member and the other section you say, tight enough?
I did everything right but my ingine light come on after fitting a new ..Please help ..The o2 sensor was a problem taking it out of the old one was carefully not to mess with it but used abit of WKD.
PLEASE ADVISE FURTHER THANK YOU.
Did the exhaust system come pre-welded or did you have to that yourself? where did you buy your exhaust from also?
hey will, i got it from Ebay. Althought personally it wasnt the best quality, but £80 for the whole thing tho... The exhaust was all pre welded i just had to connect the backbox to mid section with an exhaust clamp.
Im not too sure really, i suppose maybe an hours labour plus the cost of the exhaust. So maybe £130 or something maybe more.
any chance you can send me a link to which one you bought? struggling to find what i need. Did gasket and clamps come with?
Hey, my exhaust did come with gasket and clamp. I got it from zombie-cars on ebay. If you google corsa d 1.2 centre pipe it comes up.
Thank you for the video will be changing mine this weekend...please just need to know the sizes of the nuts that you had to cut off..👍☝️☝️☝️cheers
13mm nuts I replaced them with
💪🏻💪🏻👍
What size sockets for the sensor, cross brace and exhaust
Hey the cross brace is 17mm, 13mm for exhaust and sensor you just need an O2 sensor socket.
Tom's Driveway thanks 🙏 I don’t have sensor socket 👎🏻 it’s gunna have to be an adjustable or spanner that fits for that bit lol
Haha, im not sure id risk it. They can become rust welded into the exhaust sometimes. They are £7.00 for eurocar parts. A little expensive but makes sure you dont round the sensor off. And have to buy a new sensor. Be careful and good luck! Let me know how it goes
Got back box off easy, went round to front section and realised the nuts are welded on lol fml I better start sawing lol
Hahaha yeah mine were the same, an absolute pig ahha!
What sealant did you use before putting the centre clamp on?
Looking at this www.cybox.co.uk/product/corsa-d-cat-back-system/ need to check the 3 bolts first, if rusted sod that!
Looks good tbh, yeah tbh id do that. Although you could just cut them off and re drill some on.
I am changing my in few days its deteriorate very badly.
Brilliant, yeah thry get real corroded.
1:15 what is the size of those nuts?
I think M8 pitch 1.25mm spanner 13mm used in many cars
Will you start monetising your videos!!! You’ll be able to buy more stuff for the Corsa 😀
So basically id need 1000 subscribers to start being able to monetise. I would like to because it would help alot with buying stuff as you say.
Tom's Driveway damnnn !!! Try posting your videos on forums such as Corsa-E and corsa-D forums if they apply
Thanks Lee, i occasionaly do. Although i try to avoid being too pushy i guess.
Tom's Driveway be more pushy! I wouldn’t limit your videos to only corsa, despite it being a popular car but I see that you done a review on the chrome polish. Keenup the good work tho !!
You are probably 100% right really, I did yeah. Tbh i think i should have reviewed the actual polish more, but i once i started on the car i found it hard to stop and record haha
I can't seem to get my exhaust manifold off at all. It's being held in by the steel cable you see at 1:08. I can't get a torx bit to fit in to the cable mount bolt since the exhaust manifold is in the way. Any ideas?
Can you potentially heat it up and smack a bigger torx bolt in
@@TomsDriveway Could do. I'm really in the process of getting the head off, so if I can prise away the manifold from the head, just enough to lift off the head, hopefully I won't need to undo the steel cable mount.
