Hey I have a 3 quick questions. 1. In the rules it says no nsfw content. Whats nsfw content? 2. The rules also state that the first and last frame must be an empty transparent frame. What does that mean? 3. Are sketchfab models allowed? Thanks to anyone who has wisdom on these topics.
1. Nsfw is short for not safe for work. Its basically things like excessive gore, nudity, stuff like that 2. The first and last frame will have absolutely nothing on it, its just a blank alpha image. So no objects, no effects, no smoke on the first and last frame, just straight blank alpha transparency frames. 3. Considering Kitbash is involved as a prize id wager that free and paid assets are allowed, I think the last competition also had premade assets allowed
Sounds really cool but this is way beyond my skill level 😅 I haven't touched blender in a year and even then I wasn't that skilled. And my current rig can't handle rendering very well so I don't think it'll like the alpha channel. Love the contest idea though! Maybe I can participate in a future one after I practice some more.
Alpha is just math, any computer can handle it. It's literally just a space that tells the computer anything behind me is invisible. As for rendering thats what the credit is for!
To say there is a lot of prices for 1 person in the first place at least you should have made a TOP5 not TOP3! and split the prizes even! (Just some thought) because i know there will be 100s of people entering!

Just give it a try. You maybe don't win, because there are professionals out there, but with more than a month of time you can create a personal piece of Art! Just see it as a cool way to learn blender :)

How long are we allowed to delay the second portal reveal? From the template we see the second portal starting at frame 206. Are we allowed to delay the reveal ( for example a door that opens to show the portal) until frame 399 theoretically? Because the longer we deplay the reveal the less we will see from the next submission.
I have a lot of info about this on Discord, but basically there are no limits to that. I do recommend getting on Discord to see previous questions about this.
