Best Of Downtown Denver: Things To Do In The Mile High City!

- Denver Colorado, the Mile High City! What can I say about this amazing city?! Well if your iinterested then follow me as I explore the beautiful downtown distrcits of Denver. We'll start at the iconic Denver Union Station. Built in the late 1800's. From there walk through the LoDo (or Lower Downtown District) to have breakfast before exploring the famous Larimer Street.
Along the route we'll stop and showcase multiple historical buildings throughout old Denver. Then head up to the Colorado State Capitol Building. Come and witness the Italian and French palatial style of architecture that dots the interior of this amazing structure.
To finish off I'll take you to a local Denver brewery as well as the northern RiNo River Arts Distrcit to explore the unique qall arts that dot The famous Alley at RiNo. Along with stops at the Denver Central Market for some food.

Seems like a city I could enjoy visiting! The state capitol was a beautiful building, and the architecture in general was nice there. The brewery would be on my list, along with the central market. My husband would be very interested in the arcade bar!

The lowdown brewery looks nice. Great tip on getting the right ticket for the train system. The Denver central market looks great, I think I would dig it too.
Oh the Central Market was my favorite place downtown.
Watching your video is a trip down memory lane for me. The buildings, streets, restaurants and of course the Union Station area remind me of my two memorable visits to this Mile High City back in 2011 and 2018. Awesome walk tour with so much information you infused in your presentation. Two thumbs up!

You had much more time in Denver proper than we did as it was mostly a prep day for our road trip. We definitely need to go back and spend some time exploring Denver itself on our next trip!

A very enjoyable tour! Downtown Denver looks really nice especially the old part with all the brick buildings (and I did notice the John Fluevog shoe store!). The capitol building is beautiful.

Denver seems like one of those places you've just got to mark out on any decent American road trip! A ridiculous amount of history to be found there and I would happily find myself in that brewing company!

Denver is AMAZING! I’ve lived here for over 20 years now and have been so lucky to see it grow from a mediocre city to a bustling and cosmopolitan metro area. I mean who remembers when LoDo was a bunch of fields with that awful viaduct??
The unbelievable background of the mountains you can’t beat. I do agree we need a much better skyline. We have growing pains and some issues that all larger metros have. I’m proud to be a Denverite and a Coloradan 😊

I concur. Denver, grew from a mediocre city to a cosmopolitan one.
Back when I lived there from 2000-2010 I noticed a large percentage of Denverites were not as cosmopolitan as people from big cities in the west. Hopefully that’s dramatically changed by now.
@denver0102: I think that Denver has a nice skyline, in the sense that it feels like activity is going on within it, but it is missing one or two really architecturally standout buildings!
@@MarinoTovar : Well Denver has always had it's own vibe. Denver has never tried to be anything but Denver, and that is what I like about it.

More of a street art thing. Definitely not a traditional art gallery district
It is street art, but there are galleries there. I guess that you can only cover so much in a day! 😊
I love that he didn't walk anywhere near the homeless - there are about 11,000 of them spread around the area. Lodo is a cool, few-block radius that is still somewhat happening - with ridiculously overpriced real estate. The rest of the downtown area is under construction with closed store fronts.

He spends time showing us empty restaurants and an arcade (he is trying to to get 12-year-olds to visit?)
Tons of restaurants now, but they are hit or miss and mediocre at best.
And the silly remote working situation, is not helping. I go into the office once a month to water plants and to check to see if the downtown area is still lame and boring - it is.
You do realize the arcade is a barcade. 12 year olds couldn't go in there if they wanted. It's 21 plus. Gotta watch the last spot again as well. The rooftop was packed. I saw homeless but, the point of the video wasn't to showcase it. That's not the scope of my channel. I leave that to others that wish to tackle that issue.
