    Is a fuse not recommended between the shunt and battery negative? What about the sum of all load/charge currents exceeding the cable or shunt rating?

    • @JohannesBoonstra-ol2nz
      @JohannesBoonstra-ol2nz 8 месяцев назад

      the fuse is often in the plus lead, but can indeed also be in the minus. When the load or charge current exceeds the 500A of this model you can choose for the 1000A or even 2000A version

    • @matthewpaull7362

      Ok thanks. Should all currents by summed, or should the loads be summed, and the chargers subtracted, as the current flow from the chargers would be in the opposite direction (through the shunt) than the loads. Ie net positive vs net negative charging.

Or does the charge history reset every time the phone is disconnected. The product looks amazing aside from these concerns :D

      @richardb8492 Год назад +2

      This is kind of true and untrue. The range is extremely limited if you want to go in to the app and view the all important live data, basically it won’t connect but if you just want to see the limited data on the tiny opening page of the app then the range is great and sometimes I can exceed 10mtrs. The same goes for other Victron devices and is completely useless for their smart chargers that don’t give you any information unless you go into the app. The only up side of the lack of information for the smart chargers is that they really don’t need to be looked at unless you just want to see stuff.
      Honest opinion? Get the BMV712 with the Bluetooth option because you get much better range on the wired screen than you do with the Bluetooth.

      @@다양한일들 dictator? You means isn't used? the AC1 is the priority input , AC2 is secondary. So if you have the generator on AC1 this will be overruling the AC2 were the grid is on.

    The VE direct socket cable makes no sense. Why does it require the purchase of extra an cable. It should have a male end to connect direct to the Cerbo.

    Half these comments aren’t bad but they show a lack of understanding things like vaulted rating all current rating. Please just check the data sheet and a lot of questions are asked about how exactly you connect different things. You don’t understand it enough. It’s not necessarily bad thing but you should probably educate yourself with Victron training courses.

    Not really good practice to use cable lugs with M10 holes to connect to an M6 bolt.
