You can use a neck width of 2.5 and depth of 2.5 for the front. Then 2.5(width) by 0.75(depth) for the back.

The part is for you to get your overlap in order to create your shawl since we’re cutting it together.. since you’re not adding a zipper, you can leave out the 1 inch zipper allowance. But then you have to create an overlap on the front skirt part and hold it down with buttons so that the child can go in and out of it freely.
For a 7yr old’ use 2.5 by 2.5(front) and 2.5 by 0.75(back).
