Please how do you calculate for the extra four inches at the front if working for a different age group? Or it's standard for all ages?

Thank you. 3-4 inches is very ok for children of any age. Even as an adult, I use 4 inches to 6 inches . The idea is the more fabric you have, the deeper your wrap will go in. Less overlap, the chest area will start gapping. I hope this helps.
