Anon mouse Hydrogen impossible to refill tank would last only 1 day of cycling. Battery power is better as you can charge anywhere with a 3 pin socket.
I had a nice idea of turning it into a camper but I want it as non electric version or else I should just get a normal motorized camper. I want the freedom of pedals.
I would love to have this for my hobby for going up and down scotland to race. It would save me tons of money in train rides. Another thing i would love another 2 trailers to store more fuel cells for longer distences.
Damn i have to join your forces you are absolutely amazing my deepest respect for that stuff you are doing there. I for myself can Transport a 3,3 m Long Surfboard with all the Equipment and a tent with drinking water and food just on my simple and very cheap Bike Pendant. But what you are doing there is outstanding. Keep the bloody good Work up you crazy people!
I was at first concerned for the stability of what looked like a two wheeler recumbent. But after seeing it in action the whole truck / cargo body of this quad is really cool. But as the others have suggested an enclosure for the driver is a must for use in poor weather. As a camper option this would totally rock.
Very nice concept. The center of gravity is high to make it more stable, the box carriers can be move down more and the tank move sideways. This would allow a more stable load. Great idea.
@@DanielleMoren If it's for refrigeration then why not just use an absorption-cycle refrigerator? Somewhat less efficient - but much less expensive! The space and weight saved by removing the fuel cell and compressor could instead be used to house a larger fuel cylinder. The only definitive benefits I can see in using hydrogen over chemical storage batteries is the lack of a finite cycle life and the ability to rapidly replenish the on-board energy supply.
Love this.. where has this video been.... I have been looking for years at cargo bikes, bike trailer. I am in the 🇺🇸 USA. SO AWESOME and from 3 years ago. 😳 what, we should be seeing these allover the place come on
give us the details please, specs, motor watts / NM, 2 motors? Street legal? Does this qualify as an e-bike of some class? Where can you buy one for how much?
will not happen, hydrogen is a very bad way to drive a vehicle, it needs way too much power for hydrogen production and storage, at that point you could just go straight for an electric bike.
So inspirative. While fuel cell is still challenging on its refuelling station issue, you may replace it with LiFePO4 battery and sell the idea to DHL, UPS, and other carrier companies....
@@eclecticcyclistwhich does not add weight at all... PS. Also try to calculate the amount of energy you can harvest, compared to the amount you need...
A fold out solar panel can probably provide some kind of battery recharging and will be lighter than fuel cell. what I hate about these cycling things is the drivers just yesterday one guy came too close to my highly customized Tesla Model Xand the nightmare is just beginning.
Hi velove!!!! You are Great and Genious! I love what you do! Hope to see this model in France as soon as possible.... But here, there is a fat and heavy system that kills everything.... Wait and see. Have a very good continuation, and thank you. 😉👍👌
Yes a little bigger and you could have camper with insane fuel mileage . And solar powered assist , when your lithium batteries are running low just find somewhere to park up for the solar to charge your lithium bank. Love this .🤓
I don't even own a business and would have zero use for one of these , but , i would like to have one just because of the ultra cool factor . 😂 What an amazing design . brilliant!!
This thing looks like it would work great for an airport or in a small village but it would get road killed in a lot of countries and I think it's awesome.
Small grocery needs abaut half a tone of products. With 250W plus peak 500 W human power, I think that anything steeper then lowland river grade, will be very challenging.
Nice idea .Do you have snow tires for this model ? Is roadside assistance an option. Spare parts ? How do you tow it away after breakdown ? Is a common bike shop authorized to make repairs ?
Muy buena pero sugeriría agregar una cabina para resguardar la integridad del operador y unos neumáticos más anchos y más pequeños quedaría perfecta, quisiera saber si en suramérica se pueden conseguir sería maravilloso
I want one, I really don't want to ever own a car and this would let me travel all over very easily. The only problem is price and lack of fuel stations, which are primarily problems of scale. This use case for hydrogen is brilliant because it's way more efficient than anything else. Or is the hydrogen just powering the refrigeration cart?
i thinking in the italian motorcycle with trailer for deliver from the 60 70' put electric... jaja this is the evolution of movility... kiss your feet!!
If we are trying to make this an "eco-friendly" mode of transportation I have one question. How much electricity is used by the creation of the hydrogen fuel? Without cold fusion , I think it is just a fascinating toy.
hm, I'm just wondering... wouldn't a plain simple Li-ION battery pack (with modern energy density figures) be lighter for that kind of energy capacity when compared with all that hydrogen equipment? Perhaps it wouldn't even make sense to make the battery capacity that big as electrical outlets are plentiful as opposed to H2 refill stations.
Ok and what about bad weather conditions? Seriously, that’s why cars are what they are. They evolved to a comfortable, safe, fast and protected vehicle.
Modifying this to be a micro-camper could be fun , it would have just enough room for a sleeping bag and a small cooker , and perhaps a solar power cell to power my electronic devices.
I was gonna say... what country was this made in BECAUSE IT CAN'T BE THE USA. The US is no longer up to doing what we used to be able to do only a few short years ago. It's amazing how fast we lost our edge here. Now all the amazing stuff come from Europe and Asia. Nice cargo bike ya got there!
I am speechless ... i wish in my country people were more interested in this type of thing .
Imagine turning it into a tiny home for travelling & camping. Would be epic, especially if the roof was solar and the tyres could handle off road.

I live in Brazil where bicycle delivery is common place in large metropolitan areas. These would be great here.

everyone involved has an engineering degree - there's definitely a reason it's built the way it is

Brilliant. Can't wait to see these delivering goods in London.
What goods? For the quantity now arriving after Brexit, an elderly women's handbag will be the more suitable choice.
AMAZING!!! These should be everywhere.
Wow so usefull!! It's perfect! Now it can be better with protection in rainy days
this really glides around nice for something that large with electric pedal assist.

I love early prototypes. It looks like it was thrown together in a shed - and yet it works.
Add some 100watt flex panels and increase the distance.
Absolutely true
Bi equals two. This a human/fuel cell powered semi truck. Really cool design. If I ever decide to tour cross country, this is the set up!

That's amazing! Why isn't this technology being used everywhere?
It takes a lot of energy to create hydrogen, and hydrogen is hard to store.
С таким вело мобиле и машины не надо . Простенькую кабинку и зима непочем .😁😁😁 Это моя мечта .🤩🤩🤩
A 7kwh 18650 battery pack is lighter, more efficient and is probably cheaper too.
Pretty strange going with a fuel cell.
Probably got some fuel cell grant money and had to go that way
It's for the refrigerator unit on the back

That's the first two-pedal lorry i like, and i bet the gearbox is more responsive, too.

how much??
Amazing for this christmas packaging season..
looks cool, but what function does the pedaling do? does pedaling charge the battery?
This is one of the coolest things i have seen. It should have some sort of rain protection though.
There are vairants with a driver cabin/cover too. I believe built on the same armadillo chassis.
great idea, but I see a safety issue if the containers come rushing foreward during an emergancy break
Looks cool, but how does it handle weight? Like lots of weight? I doubt you would want to turn that sharp with weight on?
probably very poorly
Ooh this is cool and exciting! I needless to say i want one!!!!

Urban Cargo Bikes don’t hold your breath
Trump will have them banned because they don't burn coal = MAGA
e s it wouldn't be considered a car...legally speaking most places would define it as a motorized bicycle...
Lance Forest that would be the case here in Australia too.. It should meet our "250 watts or less" power assisted bicycle laws!
That’s freaking cool I need one :O
It's perfect... as long as it isn't raining. Or windy. Or really hot out. On a nice day it's perfect.
Venham p/Brasil,tô esperando vcs!
Please convert one into a camper. I would love to see that happen.

Where are you going to refuel it??? It's not readily available like gas cylinders are at some UK service stations 🤔

Fuel Cells are stupid. But I like the concept. Just stick a 20kW battery where the H2 tank would normally be.
Agreed. Fuel cells are for large heavy vehicles. You could fit a huge solar panel to that box and have it topping up batteries while it's being used.
