Would love to know a little more about the solar energizer and how it all works, why you chose it, etc. good to know about the single/double spike options!
The solar energizer basically just energizes the fence and keeps it electrified without having to be connected to an electrical source somewhere near the house. It’s a pretty simple setup with a positive and negative clip. The red flips to the fence and the negative clips to a grounding rod
I bought the six foot galvanized t post to get the charger off the ground and run the ground to it went from 7.5 to 10.5 grounding is way better better voltage
We bought the version that is not electrified from premier. Rabbits were out early in the morning chewing holes on the bottom to get into the area surrounded by fence
I have the Premier1 with a solar Intel Shock 60 solar charger. I just had a turkey poke its head through the fence to get at grass on the outside. It wasn't phased a bit. I put the tester on it and it was over 6000V!!?? Not sure how many joules they put out? Website says .6 (POINT 6) joules!?? I emailed them to find out?
I think the bottom hot wire is too close to the ground...You have to make sure the bottom of the poles are stretched TIGHT so it can't sag even a little bit or it will continuously ground out. You HAVE to weedeat CLOSE!!... Just my experience...
Thanks for making this one, I appreciate the tip on 50' sections!
You bet!
Great insights Tanner
Thank you!!
Thanks man ! I need this I think but don’t not have problems with your chickens jumping over
Your property is gorgeous! Arkansas is looking better and better to me.
Whats going on? I was born in that area and spent most of my childhood summers there. Im looking to set something similar up in AZ right now. thanks

How well do the chickens stay in i habe the vevor and the holes are way to big
The chickens stay in just fine as long as they are old enough to not fit through the netting
@tannerfarmstead thanks just ordered one then. Yea apparently the one I got was for goats 🤦
I’m trying to figure out if I can just use my Jackery solar charger?
I doubt that will work correctly
Is there fencing like this that isn't electric? I can't seem to find it anywhere
There is not to my knowledge. But you don’t have to electrify it. You can just use the fencing without an energizer
@@tannerfarmstead ya only costs an arm and a leg though

Yep, 100 feet is 500 dollars. With the charger of course.
Great product. Rude people working there. Try to get a refund.
