My grandfather lived in a little town close to Kingman called Chloride. He worked for the Las Vegas Review Journal writing stories and drawing cartoons. He is listed in the top 100 people that helped for southern Nevada. When he passed in 1990 his wife went to live with family in Kingman. Thanks for the video.

Loved the B-17S during WW2 my middle uncle.was in the 394 Bombing Group in the Mighty 8th Army Air Force. He was a tailgaters. The Natural Museum of the Mighty 8th is really big the staff was rebuilding a B17 in the foyer. A nice librarian found some of my uncle's war record for his grown up kids. That my dad would bring it for each during a Thanksgiving in AZ. my first and favorite uncle was in the Army CORPS of Engineers his group went into Buckenwald Concentration Camp.
The National Eight AA is in Pooler, GA outside of Savannah GA.

That part of the video was sooo great. I love the way she is a animal lover. I especially loved the part when she kissed the daddy donkey.! The other one was the donkey that fussed at them that was so funny. 😁😁😁❤❤

We were listening to 50’s music when we were cruising 66! Visited 3 Burro Rescue Sanctuaries around Oatman!❤️❤️❤️

That pole is the "trash pole". It was originally a failed "shoe tree". The Golden Amboy Buddah was put there late 2020 or early 2021. for travelers to "offer" it things for safe travels. It has been vandalized, lost its right hand...etc. People are just plain cruel!! 😕 I am enjoying your adventures Will and Dawn. Thanks for sharing...
also, theyre redeveloping the downtown near beale street. its going to have a more modern rustic feel. i cant wait to see the new updated downtown project in kingman arizona! and yes that restrauntt was so good! route 66 is awesome!

Holy heck!! Lake Havasu has become so touristy in comparison to the 90s! WOW. Just, wow. When I was a kid, there was more lake around that bridge. None of those buildings were there and there was just grass with sidewalks and a beach. I remember riding a paddlewheel boat and being mooned by vacationers. Then witnessing a drunk guy dive off a boat docked on the shore, paralyzing himself. We were on the beach, probably 9 or so feet from him, screaming to stop but he never listened. This place had a tiny pizza restaurant with old arcade games and a cool daycare with tons of consoles to play. Lots of interesting memories there.

I remember going to California in 1964 in a 55 Chevy Belair. We carried 3 galllons of water at all times. I have waited all day for this video.

Enjoyed the video, just an important note: NO Carrots for the burros. ONLY Hay Cubes are allowed. Since 2009 the Bureau of Land Management has discouraged tourists from feeding the animals as they receive WAY TOO MUCH food that is bad for them. The next time we go out to Vegas, we MUST see the donkeys, the bridge, and the canyon! We live in CA and have never seen any of it. But maybe in the fall...LOL. We don't do heat. Saguaro National Park was fabulous... IN NOVEMBER!!!

The BURRO at 11:00 was very surprising. It does appear that the burro is unhappy 🙁 or disappointed about something. Most of us won’t see a burro acting up like that, so it was curious and amusing. Cheers from Old Highway 66 in central Oklahoma.

I loved The London Bridge. That area looked like it was doing pretty good. I don't remember the donkeys moving around as much as they did this time. The one donkey seemed a little upset in the town. Glad nothing became of the way he looked to be so upset and heading towards something so fast.

i love mohave county! its so quaint, scenic, great politics, horses and cows, and burros and turles! i hope it remains affordable because prices have increased so much. the small town feel is going awat due to all this new development. but nonetheless, my favorite county in all of america

Oatman looks like a really neat town. Seeing the donkeys running loose was really wild. The bank robber and gun fight show was very amusing.

Was that a pancake restaurant in Ludlow I remember when my dad and brother took a road trip from Florida to California in 1987 we stopped at a pancake house in Ludlow early one morning, I remember there was nothing around for miles it was pretty good food from what I remember oh the memories.

The donkeys were real cute, so was Oatman. I like the gunfights. Will and Dawn if you come back to Arizona, you may want to check the gunfights at Old Tuscon. Also, you may to check out the Sonoran Desery Museum. Congrats on making it to Barstow. You will be at Santa Monica real soon.
