I'm a captive of the Apple ecosystem, but I absolutely love Huawei's hardware, all of it. The phones, watches (2 weeks battery e.g.) and notebooks are imho way better than Apple. The ecosystem is at least on par with Apple with the Huawei airdrop much more advanced. However overall the software is still not quite there, albeit it's getting there fast.
the non-S is for sale for £329 in the UK currently with free pencil and keyboard! That is amazing value and adding Google seems pretty straight forward.... for £329 it must be worth a punt for a tablet with pen and keyboard?!
So I just bought the old non-S with free pen and keyboard for £329 and my God it's brilliant! Took two minutes to get Google on it and set up my apple music account. The pen is superb, the build quality is great, the screen is lovely, it's fast, for the price I'm astonished. And this is coming from someone who had an iPad pro.
@@1726Meow not completely sure, but the S has an LED flash, the pen attaches and charges on it, will have a faster processor. Not sure what else. The pen not sticking or charging on the tablet is a tiny bit annoying, but not massive. I charge the pen on my wireless charger. I really am impressed by this tablet! For the money, it's incredible.
I'm hyped with this tablet because I always dreaming to try Nearlink but Huawei's phones too big for me (I'm a Xperia 5 guy) but for tablet, this is nice, the price also quite affordable. Nice device.
Personally I do love HUAWEI products, as they have really high quality for the money. However right now it is a pity that you need to get even common apps like Netflix from external app source and sometimes they don’t work just fine. I still have my matepad pro for 4 years now and it works smoothly with no issues, but if I will change I am surely get Samsung or Apple tablets to have official apps.

Seriously, considering this, I currently have the Apple iPad M4 with nano texture display in 2TB and after watching this review I may just purchase this to use well outdoors so I don’t destroy my far more expensive iPad and for £350 what really can go wrong? They apparently have a good guarantee also so if any problems do come along then fine, but otherwise I’ve seen a few RUclipsrs review this and not one has really got much bad things to say about it apart from the Google play store but I do believe it’s easy to bypass it and also still get your Apple Music I will also be very disappointed if that screen turns out to be far superior than my iPad Pro M4, so yeah, I’m going to buy it and take a chance and I have a funny feeling it will pay off.

The paper mate display 11.5S for me is superb the color is great and the outdoor usage is fantastic coz I am not worry about reflection from the light at all

Are we okay with Huawei now? There was a bit of a fuss a while back regarding concerns that Huawei might feed data from users to the Chinese government. The UK government had to cancel plans to have Huawei take the lead in setting up 5G in the UK, if I remember right.
Are we okay with Apple & Google? U think they too are safe from our governments spying on us? Lets be honest....it doesnt matter Huawei, Tik Tok, DJI, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, Microsoft, etc....they're all able to spy on us if they want to....its not just the Chinese.....the truth is Huawei makes far superior high tech products than any Western countries today (they are already planning for 6G) & the West just cannot accept this fact and stifling competition by falsely claiming security concerns. Huawei products are just too good...period.
It's 2024. Not telling us what the chipset is? Have to side load ubiquitous apps? With iPad 10 at $349usd and m1 iPad Air at $399usd(late May) this would be a hard no even if I could buy one in the USA. I would stick with one of the Lenovo Chromebook Duets if you can't do the Apple thing. Cheers.
There's just not a compelling reason to buy a Huawei phone of Tab in UK or US. Side loading ain't for me on a product that is identically priced to a ipad or Galaxy tab and this has an unnamed processor... Yea that's a hard pass for me. 👍🏻
Though the base 10th gen iPad is only 64 GB and 60 Hz, it’ll get app, OS and security updates for almost a decade. It costs 349 bucks, and after two years you could probably sell it on for 200. This MatePad doesn’t have a user friendly App Store, questionable security, will probably slow down and be annoying to use after 2 years, and due to that and the low demand- it will be e-waste. Literally impossible to justify over the iPad, nor a Samsung/Lenovo tablet

Interesting device. I wouldn’t buy an iPad knock off and this is what it is. The design is a blatant copy. I would be concerned about security and the resale value will be peanuts. The price is tempting but I would rather have iPadOs with its many limitations. So it’s meh 🫤 from me.
