Watching this brought back some magical memories. Unlike today where we have the internet and if you missed the debut, you could watch it at your leisure, we had to stay up on December 2,1983 to watch it on MTV. It was the most magic 14 minutes in music history. Since then artist have tried to copy, duplicate what was done back then. Even Beyonce with her Lemonade. But nothing compares to those times. And then Prince came with Purple Rain ... those were the greatest times in music history. MJ, Prince, Madonna, George Michaels, Cyndi Lauper and Ill Tumble For Ya - Boy George! They were killing it ... 80s music was the real music, real musicians, real singing, and real dancing. Fun times .. glad I was a part of it.

This video is such a great walk down Memory lane. I remember the year 1984 anticipating the viewing of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video. My Mom did not have cable at the time, and it was also awesome to find out that Michael Jackson broke the barriers of the genre of videos shown on MTV at that time. He was the First African American artist, with a chart topping album full of hit songs,that premiered on the network channel. I remember waiting to view his videos on a show called " Friday Night Videos" I stayed up very late that night full of excitement fighting sleep. Lol!!!!! Oh the good days, that I will forever cherish.

Maegan Whipple we got the kids to bed .then all excited for the thriller video to come on.it was amazing to watch,and still is.although those four kids are grown,30-40 now.my 16 yr old grew up loving mj.for her 13th we took her to watch thriller at the theater.we loved every min.god bless michael

After 30 something yrs., and she looks fabulous. Thriller was one of my ALL time favorite vids. As she said, the dancing was spot -on, very professional. Makeup & custome, and these guys were bringing it! Awesome. Ola, love the jewelry!

All I can say is, Wow! I just came across this as I was scanning through titles. She is still gorgeous! I just saw her in the movie 10 to Midnight, the Charles Bronson film last week. She was the only reason I watched the movie back then. While young ladies screamed for Michael Jackson in Thriller, I was all about her. Great to see this.

My God! I never knew that Ola would be so wonderful of a person and who truly appreciates Michael from her heart. Its so wonderful to see her narrate so vividly all her fond memories about just a simple music video shoot that she had done more than 3 decades ago. Watching this brought back some magical memories. Unlike today where we have the internet and if you missed the debut, you could watch it at your leisure, we had to stay up on December 2,1983 to watch it on MTV. It was the most magic 14 minutes in music history. Since then artist have tried to copy, duplicate what was done back then. Even Beyonce with her Lemonade. But nothing compares to those times. And then Prince came with Purple Rain ... those were the greatest times in music history. MJ, Prince, Madonna, George Michaels, Cyndi Lauper and Ill Tumble For Ya - Boy George! They were killing it ... 80s music was the real music, real musicians, real singing, and real dancing. Fun times .. glad I was a part of it.

This video is such a great walk down Memory lane. I remember the year 1984 anticipating the viewing of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video. My Mom did not have cable at the time, and it was also awesome to find out that Michael Jackson broke the barriers of the genre of videos shown on MTV at that time.
He was the First African American artist, with a chart topping album full of hit songs,that premiered on the network channel. I remember waiting to view his videos on a show called " Friday Night Videos" I stayed up very late that night full of excitement fighting sleep. Lol!!!!!
