@@MichaelMiner-k8b spot on! I was a pro drummer in Miami -Ft.lauderdale 70-80s and that I was the norm I am just a little younger than Vinnie. I studied that style Gadd was king in the day... I was lucky saw 👀 great talent it was the norm.
@@MichaelMiner-k8b brother!! I have hundreds of cassettes of recordings that I did. I never listen to them I get calls from the guys. They always bring up a recording a gig up and I don't remember.... I do remember one thing it was a magical time!!! It was the promise land.....
Vinnie, Nathan and Greg! Incredible - the Holy Trinity of LA-Music right there. Studio looks like United Recording in Hollywood, CA. Formerly known as Ocean Way Recording. Lovely place. I do miss working with Vinnie.
AMAZING!!!!!! Nathan, Vinnie, and Greg are three of the most accomplished, skilled, respected, and recorded musicians in history!!! Incredible guitar playing!!! I love this song!!!
Well, not one to hold my tongue, so why start now? I don't think much of the generic sounding composition, when there's so many Oz Noy, Wayne Krantz, Rosenwinkle, Govan, Basilio, and on and on in this "genre" - However, the guitarist had the very good sense to surround himself with an unbelievably good band. Everyone played at a very high level, so bravo for that. Cheers..!!
When everyone's tone is far superior to yours... "hole-tone". Taming an out of control, fire-breathing tube amp with THAT trio would have been something...
I'm sorry to say that but it's like 3 top tier soccer players passing the ball to a 4 years old fan because daddy paid for the VIP - meet and greet ticket.
Couldn't have said it better myself, they were reading some shit parts as well. The guy has terrible tone, terrible taste, rubbish music...that must have been one hell of a session fee... ah well..
Kinda weird. I mean Vinnie, Greg and Nathan sounds solid and great of course. But it´s still a bit off.. The guitar sound doesn´t really fit with the rest of the band. Really buzzy. And the composition and guitar playing isn´t really on par with the playing form the session musicians..
The structure is a "show off structure" Listen to Lari Basilio - Not Alone (feat. Vinnie Colaiuta, Nathan East, Greg Phillinganes) Yes, same musicians! Then you will understand what I mean. p.s. Don’t forget to use your …”musical knowledge” @@davidlopes7332
I'm sorry to take away attention from the great playing, but it is really, REALLY, irksome that pretty much every shot that includes Vinnie doesn't match what he's playing... And yes, that goes for most of the other musicians as well 🙂
I’m glad this guitarist could afford these guys for a session, they are gods. But the composition sucks and the guitar lacks dynamics and the is completely in love with itself.
The musicians are technically great as usual. But where is the melody? Where is heart, soul and inspiration? I can't find no one of these important things
A collab w/ Vinnie Colaiuta and Nathan East? That's beyond expectation. Amazing!!
Great to hear this caliber of music being played so rare!!

Uncle Vinnie is the Godfather of drummers 👍👏👏👏
Living legend on drums 🔥🔥
Wow! So many moments and time changes... great guitar runs,...Bass and that keyboard... drums....! More please!
What do you mean, many time changes? Song's in 4/4, front to back. :D
:: When you have those musicians with you, you know everything will be perfect!!! ::
Someone won the lottery, right? Its the only way to explain having three of the world's greatest musicians on a track like this.
Its d money dude !

Amazing. That guitar playing, strung upside down kind of freaks me out.
Vinnie is amazing

Grandiosi! 😮😮😮😮
They know they top shelf players!
Nathan East!!!
Bravo!
amazing - fantastic
Sehr gut!
woooo vinnie still sounding nice
SOUNDS LIKE THE SOUNDTRACKS OF RACING VIDEOGAMES. REMINDED ME OF OLD SCHOOL SEGA GT GAMES
Yes gentlemen yes!
nice!
That session must have cost a few quid!
This is phenomenal!👌
Vinnie is the Man!! The editing here stinks though fella's. Drum cam is not matching the video:(

Hendricx style
lol. Half of the clips of Vinnie playing don’t match the audio.
This music is ugly. I'm not sure what else to call it.
Agree. Great musicians, but total absence of melody, heart and inspirations
Dobos ne stimuje
Very experimental , no "musical body", great players though.
There is a structure, you just dont have the musical knowledge to identify it
The structure is a "show off structure"

This really kills me, too
Please give us real videos rec from studio sessions, not edited collages like this!
the performance it's great, but the music it's awful
Everything is great except that lead keyboard patch. Just hit a nerve.

Vinnie? I guess I haven't seen him in a while wow.... he put on a lot of weight.

More more better of Thomas Lang "s video more musicality
main riff got that king crimson vibes
Who was the guy playing the Ibanez with the ghetto universe inlays?
The musicians are technically great as usual. But where is the melody? Where is heart, soul and inspiration? I can't find no one of these important things
Ask that to the arranger, composer, manager etc
Perfection seems to be more important...
Your opinion is that of a child…

Maybe you should listen to the head a few times.
Great musicians but elavator sounding music....
