The only sermon I have heard as a Christian where Job's wife was not shamed. Thank you!!! That women was in pain beyond comprehension. God was not angry with her display of real human emotions.
God has emotions. Most people don't know how to display them appropriately. =-)
I never thought about it till this sermon and I wonder how I never noticed that she just wasn't his wife but she was the mother of his children and she had lost all her children
I stumbled on Lisa Harper accidentally. But she never fails to touch me and open up God's Word in a new way. I am thankful that I have a God Who loves us so much. And thank you Lisa.
agreed. i shut off my 5 year old daughter's life support and that was 46 years ago. occasionally i still grieve, but, she lost 10 children and her husband appears to be dying. how did she even breathe. 😳

I struggled so much with this during my divorce. That my life was falling apart and was so angry that God was refusing to redeem my marriage not wanting to remember that we have free will. Years later I was able to realize thru other means that God did rescue me from an abusive marriage that I could not see and thought I could fix on my own. God is good even in the midst of our pain even when we don't understand why we are going thru that season of despair. I needed this today, but God knew that and sent it via my husband the one He sent me to prove He is always faithful.

I'm so glad that I could encourage anyone else who is in the midst of this. We do not have a reason or an explanation for why we go thru pain but know He will make beauty out of ashes. I believe my pain has made me grow closer to God and given me a deeper appreciation for other people and their pain. It has led me to want to be His hands and feet. ❤️

I think most of life IS a struggle. In that struggle, God will show up looking like seeds. It's even in scripture that God will want us to experiences moments of joy to break up the disappointments in life, the things that will keep us moving forward.

I think the most beautiful thing about Elevation Church is that Pastor Steven and Holly from the beginning knew that this vision was bigger than them, so they allowed everyone who had a part vision in this to contribute, and that is why, Elevation Church outreach will continue to expand beyond bothers, it is beyond everyone, me who watches every Sunday and Monday from the other side of the world, you, who attends the church and you volunteer there or pastor or just attend, you the pastor who has seen this church grow and you are a friend to the ministry, you who just watch it online, all of us are imparted by the beauty of this... I told my small group a while ago that I wanted to have more trusting faith in God and that’s because I felt it fading.
Well God will answer my prayer in the way he knows best. And that’s through heartbreak for me. I broke up with someone but still it’s so hard but I have never felt closer to God than I have over the last week.

I just found this video after seeing Lisa preach at Elevation this past Sunday. I loved that message and wanted to find more by her. WOW, just wow. 14 minutes in I was in tears and by the end I was totally bawling. What an amazing on time word for this season of my life. She may have preached it two years ago but it was meant for me right at this moment. Thanks God for always showing me you're here especially when everything falls apart.

Leslie, I've learned to not to skip over a message when the main attraction is not starring. Often the fill-in has just the word we need to keep going. My pastor often says if our church stopped being relevant if he leaves or dies then he the church was built on his personality and not Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your beautiful testimony. I was just pouring my eyes out to my husband saying that I’ve never heard of someone who has experienced a situation like we are facing. I was beginning to think we were an exception. To be honest, I just muttered, “ I know it gets better but I’m not sure I can survive the process. I need God to intervene either on this side of heaven or the other. Either is fine with me. Thank you for being the shining example of what I needed to keep pushing. God bless. Lisa spoke my life, My Mother and my Father and sister all had cancer. My sister made it we went through a 3-year cancer battle we lost mommy but my sister made it and my Father was given more years to live. The Lord gave me the strength to make it through that. I was the only caretaker and I made it. Praise be to God!

I have fallen in love with this woman. Her messages have been so powerful in my life. God had me read the book of Job when my life fell apart. It helped me to read it the first 30 chapters in NLT version and then the rest of the chapters in King James Version. But identified with job. I appreciate Lisa so much for not trying to cover up that God allowed it to happen but it was for his good. A lot of people try to take God out of that equation and just say it was an attack from Satan. It was an attack from Satan but God allowed it for his purposes. That's hard. I'm going through a really really really hard season. Please pray that I will trust God who is faithful.

Never been sick in my life , then out of no where had to get on dialysis in 2013, got a healing in 2016, same year had to get back on dialysis and still on it in 2019. This message his home.I have nothing else to stand on but Gods Word and the holy spirit's leading.
I am in Nairobi, Kenya. I am so blessed and uplifted by this message after going through a painful divorce.
