Gallagher is gone. Couldnt be more obivous when we signed KDH. The "natural cheap replacement" for him. Gallagher will demand at least 150k/week for signing a new contract. And thats not going to happen for a bench/rotation player. In a Maresca system there is no room for him in the starting 11. I realy hope he could get a move to Athletico. Simione football is tailor made for Gallagher. He would thrive under Simione. Possible one of their future leaders on the pitch. So we might see another swapdeal. We get their 20yr old striker. And they get Gallagher for the same amount in return.
I dont believe in the PR about Sanchez being our no.1 for next season. I have a feeling its just PR. So the player doesnt loose to much value in the transfer market. If a club would come in and offer 15-20mil im sure he will be gone. I would love if the club goes for Kobel from BVB. Good shotstopper. Decent with the ball at his feet. Young but a lot of experience. Perfect GK IMO.

I think it’s a very good strategy. Without Abramovich’s millions the club has to adapt and be sustainable and make money off players rather than keep losing by buying old players like Lukaku and Sterling that lose all value in 1 season

I agree. Sanchez as our no.1 next season worries me. I never trusted that Brighton GK Coach we got. Who said he will turn Sanchez into a worldclass GK. Well i guess he got now a season to prove me wrong.

Maresca will ultimately be judged on the pitch and all the rest is just waffle and hype, after two years of clownlake nonsense and Maresca being the fourth manager for these ringmasters he might have been better advised to not use the 'trust the process' catchphrase.
The guy has never managed in the top flight and there is no logical reason to expect him to do any better than Poch, the jury is out and he needs to hit the ground running or he'll be gone quicker than Potter................
