I wish this had been around when I was a young man, what a great way to work off anger and aggression. Have a really crappy week at work? Strap on your armor, pick up your mace and go wallop the hell out of someone in a melee on Saturday. Of course, you're gonna get walloped too, but that's only to be expected. No one dies, no hard feelings, and everyone meets in the pub after... what a great way to run a war.
I am a young man and I am seriously considering this! On top of all that you mentioned, you get to exercise and build up your body in a fun way, not the boring gym stuff.
I honestly do not think this sport is about being aggressive due to anger. Perhaps a few may be here because they "had a bad week". I think like other sports it's important to be level headed and keep your focus. Even a planned rush can end up backfiring so you surely would not want someone on your team rage charging. There is a USA match where we have a guy who's like 6'9. He starts the match solo charging the Russian middle. he makes good contact with a few of them and then quickly finds his way to the ground. I would recommend lifting weights or doing some cardio if you need to let off some steam.
its so dumb they have unarmored refs running around with 30 people swinging swords and axes around boxers have landed punches on refs before, only a matter of time
@@Bee-tj8gc Almost like every other sport, injuries are a fact of life. You may think it's less dumb if you consider that the swords and axes are blunted... maybe. Also consider this, many athletes have died while playing sports. The number of Refs that have died... a lower percentage by far

It's a UK team, as stated in the title. This is based around medieval times so most countries attempt to wear traditional heraldry. Hence why Russia wear imperial colours, not a modern tricolour and the French wear blue with the fleur-de-lis, etc, etc. The two Scottish members in team UK have both a patch on their tabard and a quarter of their shield showing the St. Andrews cross.
