You know that’s because your bread is more hydrated so it packs together better and cooks slower. In japanese places, they wet their Panko to hydrate it and allow for longer fry times and lower heat which results in that packed and perfectly all around golden crust while being cooked through
Bread crumbs ≠ panko Panko goes through a different process than bread crumbs, so the result of using bread crumbs here instead of using panko will not be the same.
@@Honeneko. I find it if i use breadcrumbs the texture is a schnitzel for me than a tonkatsu. Don't get me wrong making your own breadcrumbs at home is waaay better and tastier than the boxed one for sure, but there is a reason why some recipe calls for Panko and not breadcrumbs is, just the process how it was made and for the texture. You don't have to use flour to thicken the curry, just slightly boil your potatoes before adding them to the mix, starch from potatoes will thicken your stew and it'll be healthier

I have never seen this recipe, I can say I was shocked. First the meat is browned (I recommend chicken breast) when browned a little add an onion, a carrot and a potato, stir a little and the band add about 700ml of water, leave for 15 minutes and after add the curry paste (you can order it online) when you add it mix 5 minutes in the canteen and add 50 ml of milk to make it creamier. That's how I do it and I assure you it's super good.
