    Lew was so talented, we were in High School together and
    he was good even then.
    It's too bad his life was cut short, but what a legacy!!

    Lew inspired a GENERATION of Trumpet players. I think his contributions to Jazz (and Music in general) aren't likely to be accorded the recognition they deserve. Thanks for posting this. RIP, Mr. Soloff.
