- Hello! My name is Jonah. I’m a homemaker and a stay-at-home mom of two girls ❤️
Our backyard patio needed a total refresh so I decided to build planters with attached bench seating so that I can plant some flowers while adding extra seating as well. I still consider myself a beginner when it comes to woodworking but my mind was determined to make my vision a reality and it finally did 😊. All materials are from #HomeDepot and we got our outdoor furniture from #athome.

Materials:
For each planter, you will need:
Legs- (8 pcs) 2” x 4” boards at 24” long
Wall- (16 pcs) fence pickets at 18” long
Top frame- (2 pcs) 3/4” by 3.5” boards 18” long
Top frame- (2 pcs) 3/4” by 3.5” boards 16.25” long
Support for slats to lay on- (2 pcs) 2” x 2” boards at 16” long
Slats as base for the pots- (2 pcs) fence pickets cut into 17.5” long
For each bench, the length will depend on how long you want it to be. Our patio is 12’ x 12’ and so I built two benches using 2” x 4” boards at 40” long.
