Amazing. This guy tells the story with a lot of passion, so I really believe that he made his dream come true. Congrats, it's like magic
This makes me so emotional. I want to cuddle all of them.
Agreed! =D
amazing photographer and I admire his passion!!
What a true hero for ice habitats and the animals that live there!
It’s a dream coming true. so wonderful and so amazing. love it a lot
This was so wonderful to watch I was transfixed. To see the bubbles and the amazing speed they created. He was a great speaker and was at one time overwhelmed by this whole event and his co works. Im gonna save this to favorites to show friends. I become overwhelmed when he speaks of the destruction of global warming and get tears in my eyes.
Slowly getting back to what National Geographic is all about - animals and their environment.
Loved it really do more of these :)
thanks for trying to save the Penguins, Thanks for trying a better world. AMen. God bless you.
It's amazing that they land on their round tummy and yet don't vomit the food out 😐
Maybe they purposefully try to land on their chests so that doesn't happen.
But they do knock the wind outta themselves haha
Nic Helms hahahah yeah they do lol. They sound like someone banging an accordion on the ground st times when they land and emit their noises hahaha
** Bhoop bhoop **
He's making jokes. He wants them to laugh!
Amazing work by the photographers and National Geographic. We need less paparazzi and more guys like this.
Even though for me this is homework assignment I find it quite interesting.
Wow! Now I can fully understand how they are able to jet out of the water like they do. In a way it's like what happens when you shake a champagne bottle. Stunning pictures I do have to say and scary story about the Leopard seal encounter.
Very “cool”!!! I love that he got emotional! That’s true love for your job!
Awesome underwater view of the penguins. I absolutely love them.

Great job.. really worth to invest time watching this video.
nature is so amazing! it provided these beautiful creatures a means to escape their predators with bubbles! it's unbelievable to think air can turn into a ahugh-speed jet!

Man, that penguin bubble-blast technique kinda reminds me of how a squid uses its ink defense.

I have the book and he was the photographer?! :O
best clip.
Awesome video
Amazing :)
Great images, interesting idea below, really would not surprise me if there were some applications for this phenomenon, possibly help deep water submarines reduce friction while descending.
Awesome fish lol
WonderfuL animal and thx for Paul Nicklen to bring this beautiful pic. Help save the world.
Now i learned something today lol
At 13:6 the penguin looks like it has a crown
we should start putting feathers on our submarines and fluffing them up before submerging! the torpedoes too!
And also did I mention that I didn't care if a leopard seal ate me?
We love penguins
i love penguins and i call them fat lol
Laurie Ronan you love Americans aswell?
重りも付いてないのに深く潜れるのが謎。
皮膚に空気を送れるので厳寒でも耐えられるのでは?
Penguins are so fantastic... it breaks my heart to think these wonderful creatures will disappear because of human greed.
nice
Really nice. Never knew that those penguins are that amazing. As for the global warming, he is right, we must all do our part to prevent disaster.
His dream was going to be squashed by hungry seals... and he was maybe not going to be able to realize his dream when he was so close. Apparently he is quite passionate about his occupation.
I want to be biologists, this is one of the best videos i ever watched
\
Great photos, I don't think we humans can do much about Global warming sadly. I think its too late. Unless the FBI or some federal organizagtion makes everyone use safe alternantive energy. People are too stubborn and spoiled. We need to do some thing soon or it will be too late. :(
amazing result of evolution
Why did he get emotional? Was it from lack of sleep?
that is what he does say in this video from the same presentation - /watch?v=tovDf-BKRZU
at least he has an excuse.
i get emotional from the beauty of nature w/o lack of sleep.
we (humans) really are pissing away one of the most amazing resources on the planet, the beauty of nature.
Really? ok.
❤️
Snarf! Here's a picture of a penguin. We need to protect the environment. Snarf!
Fuck I thought this was pingu..
I love NG
magia
if only they had high speed cameras with them
Because 90% of communication is non-verbal, or something.
I know the polar ice caps on the north hemisphere are shrinking. Some say the ice caps in Antarctica are growing. Are you saying the Ice caps in Antarctica is shrinking as well?
watching this video on the Penguin Awareness Day 6 years later and, after 6 years, people finally seem to start waking up and fighting against the climate change, hope it's not too late
Never too late :)
amazing god's creation
NABIL DZ *God should always be capitalized , as the spelling “ god” indicates that of false gods & not the lord God ,Almighty ! But yes , I totally agree with you 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💗💗💗So true ! God is so amazing and his creation is so beautiful and was made with purpose and intention , by the lord and it’s a shame people can look upon this world and all of Gods Creation and see among things of his glory , the works of his hands and still deny his holy name and presence and existence ! No offense in my mentioning of the spelling used , it’s not to be correcting in some condescending or belittling way , but to only remind , as even in spelling the lords name , we should distinguish between that of the holy lord , God Almighty and that of those sinful , false “ gods”... no offense intended :). Take care and God bless u abundantly in all things !!!
Penquinns!
I can make those sounds with little bits
