What frustrates me the most about the situation is that everyone has Traveler and access to their alternate forms so if there ever was a case they could go back and tweak a characters kit without opening a can of worms it would be THE free universal unit.
I honestly don't know how they would implement swapping mid-combat, especially given all the forms we have. A toggle would be nice, but knowing mihoyo, they would probably put that on a cooldown just like swapping and have it tied to the server

L+● or L+× (or both) as L+■ is already taken for special gadgets and skills, and L+^ is for swapping the 5th hero slot. Either way, I could totally see them, adding a cool down on swapping. Additionally, resetting the cool down on the elemental skill and burst. Making swapping borderline unless.

I don't want to spoil too much if you're not caught up on Natlan's story, but Mavuika _might_ be getting the Foçalors treatment, and since it's implied that Iansan is her deputy of sorts, she might end up with some extra Pyro powers when Natlan finally wraps up. This is all extrapolation and speculation on my part, so don't take it too seriously.

Don’t get your hopes up. Dendro Traveller was a fluke. He had to be good due to a lack of Dendro units. There are plenty of pyro units, and almost all of them are good. Giving pyro Traveller a good kit would de-incentivize the need for new and low-spending players to pull pyro units. Same for all other Traveller kits.
pyro traveller will be awesome because he's gonna have the nighsoul blessing from natlan since he's gonna receive his ancient name on the next archon quest. they need to make him use the sup artifacts that's why I think he's gonna be good @@WhatzitT00ya

while not possible in single player, hydro mc's best companion might be the anemo mc. anema mc s burst also moves forward, while keeping small enemies inside. so what you can theoritically do is to use anemo mc burst, swirling pyro, and follow up with hydro mc burst to make a moving vaporize pillar. might be worth a try in multiplayer
There is one issue with this, HMC's c2 makes them move at different speeds iirc, making it so that this isn't as practical to use. Pre-c2, this does work, but then you don't get the rest of the constellations, so it's a give and take.

Idk if you know, but violet grass can be grown in your teapot. (A lot of level up plants can such as lumidoce, sea cucumbers*, violetgrass, valberries, quenepa, and lampgrass. )
as a aether main i can say that i focus more on the skill then the burst burst is a nice side order and i focused on vape with the skill useing dehya does nice dmg also nice to see someone else working on traveler some of the elements are hidden gems looking forward to electro! and see how you build them
I thought we were done with awful traveler kits T-T no one ever talks about electro traveler but its pretty damn good for what it is and being free. Not as good as someone like Raiden but MUCH better than people say it is
Electro was my favorite until Dendro came out and I was forced to switch to it due to lack of alternatives. By that time I also got more Electro so I never switched back. I know Geo and Anemo were actually decent as well and had their uses, but Electro was the first Traveler kit that I actually enjoyed using.

Hydro MC can theoretically work with Candance and the 4-piece Heart of Depth bonus I’d also use Yun Jin and Thoma for buffs and reactions Just use Candance’s burst and Hydro Traveler’s tap skill and whale into the enemy with Normal Attacks infused with Hydro
and then bring Baizhu and Nilou and you will get an okay team but would work much better if you replace Hydro MC with Nahida instead or any other hydro/dendro character The issue with normal attack infused is that they have normal icd which mean only 1 weak hydro application every 3 hit and normal attack have low range so it doesn't work super well in AOE while being too weak for single target

You know, HMC's Burst would synergize perfectly with AMC's Burst. Mihoyo might have plans to allow players to eventually combine elemental attunements (2 accessible elemental attunement slots instead of 1), which could create combined kit effects (and make for a really interesting combinatorics level of kit building). I.e. HMC + AMC Burst would be a moving, swirling mass of Anemo and Hydro that pulls and carries enemies with it. And the Skill would be a long moment of standing still firing small hydro vortexes that pull enemies in on impact and detonate with a hydro + anemo blast + swirl. It'd be easy to implement, just slightly alter the built-in Attunement system when interacting with a statue to then select which "slot" to replace. THEN Traveler's multiple kits wouldn't be a "well this one's weaker than this other one, so I guess I'll never use it beyond puzzles" anymore, but now a question of "this new kit has an odd niche, I wonder how it interacts with the rest of the accessible kits." I have to believe that they have a plan. Because otherwise, the egregious oversights they make regarding Traveler's kit, EVERY TIME, could only be explained by pure greed and ignorance. Yes, there must be a grand plan...

7:16 Genuine skill issue, should've gone by the edge of the stairs to avoid the story trigger the moment you saw Qiqi in the overworld. On a serious note, I can relate with the pain that it is to grind Violet Grass as after i finished my Qiqi all the way back in 2020 I just instinctively kept on grinding it over and over that when Baizhu came out, I just happened to have like 900 of it and I think thats where I stopped grinding Violet grass to.

Okay, so hydro mc is meant to be mini neuvillette, right? For the E, maybe a charge shot rather then a pea shooter and for the burst make it circle around the active character like Kaeya's or kuki's burst. Though, honestly I always thought that the reason for traveler's kits (asides from dendro and geo) being eh, is because they plan to make so you can switch elements in battle and don't wanna make them overpowered. Imagine the only thing the hydro burst is good for is watering the dendro burst 😭 😭
I doubt that they will allow us to change elements mid battle. It breaks the whole point of the game and the combat system that is based on team building, synergy and following rotation. Plus, there's no use for a multi-elemental character in the game in general...
It's a cracked theory, but people have been saying that the traveler's burst is reminiscent of the dragons abilities (I.e. anemo dragon and the tornadoes, dendro dragon and the bulb, hydro dragons hydro pump), while the skill is the severely toned down version of the archons abilities (I.e. Zhongli and his pillar, raiden and her burst, Venti and the vortex)

Whom is pointedly NOT the hydro dragon. Also, DMC's skill pretty much has nothing to do with Nahida's.

I accidentally picked HMC one time during some kind of event, the team comp consist of HMC, Nahida, Nilou, Yaoyao. At first, I marked enemies with Nahida's skill then accidentally pressed HMC burst(I play on mobile) and then immediately died because of bloom damage. So I tried using HMC again equipped with FLOP Em + Er and cleared some spiral abyss floor in around 15-20 seconds because of HMC burst. Therefore I conclude that HMC might be viable with Nahida C2
They could have made a tennis character where everything is based around the burst. Normal attacks can hit the burst and change the direction and the skill can add to the burst to make it bigger. The burst would explode after a certain amount of water droplets added to the burst and also after a certain amount of normal attack hits. It would be a dumb play style that wouldn’t always pay off if enemies are too mobile but at least it would be fun
My Hydro MC isn't built, but while just messing around, Hydro MC, Furina, Bennett, and Kazuha was a pretty nice feeling team tbh. Just make sure to swirl pyro with Kazuha's burst and you have some nice vaporize. Bennett is Hydro MC's perfect teammate because you don't have to worry about leaving his burst's range. You might've tried that already in your other video though, idk. Just thought I'd put it out there. You could also do a burn-vape style team with a dendro character, Xiangling, and Bennett as well. I personally would use Emilie but I didn't see her on your account. Could also use characters like Layla for freeze, or Fischl for electro-charged. Idk, just spit-balling ideas.

fwiw, I have loads and loads of violetgrass because you can grow them in your teapot. I just rotate and grow everything, so I'm able to avoid all the violetgrass heartache
I understood why people disliked Hydro MC, but I personally loved them a lot. They deal a decent amount of damage for overworld, which made them the perfect MC for story quest for me. My Lumine has been hydro this whole year and only changed element once during the Narzissenkreuz quest because Rene was immune to Hydro. I sometimes bring her to the abyss as a secondary healer and a droplet provider for Neuvillette.
It being almost exclusively single-target is definitely a serious downside. I do recognize that the overall DPS is higher than people tend to assume because you're getting about 4 instances of damage per second, but for a point of comparison, look at how it compares to someone like Noelle, who hits about half as often but twice as hard, but also isn't field-locked or gated by CD and has very generous AoE.
I'm telling you if the burst stayed like Ayaka's burst or made a constilation for them that did that hydro mc would have been at least viable as a burst hydro support.
Well you just need a grouping projectile that moves to match the hydro traveler burst. Fortunately, we have just the thing. Anemo traveler burst. I'll just go get him, and oh, I see the problem.
And yet I still love the Hydro kit. Anemo and Hydro are probably the most fun to actually use in combat. Geo's good but kind of requires more free time to finesse than a lot of fights will give you if you're soloing them as the Traveler and can't get a Crystallize. Both Electro and Dendro do work but I keep seeing their slight failings instead of their strengths while playing them; they're objectively powerful but less fun for me to play. ...I'm still hoping to be disappointed by Pyro. (This is because I'm hoping the very early hints that Pyro and Cryo are the two elements the siblings don't feel the same way about lead to their kits for these two elements being distinct beyond animations, and I main Lumine. Given all the early bits of the game that are being trimmed away, I'd feel it's worth having one truly weak kit to see that lore fragment preserved.)
I'd bet that they would do the Wuwa route of unlocking the pyro traveler during the climax of the archon quest and hopefully be very strong considering you have to progress SO MUCH of the game&story just to unlock that.
I wonder if there are enough Traveler Mains with the will & ping to trial how "well" Traveler synergizes with Traveler. Can Anemo MC vortex the bubble? Can Geo MC's burst "catch" it? Maybe the best support for Traveler IS Traveler (or, at least, their AU Twin).
There is a video on Anemo and Hydro MC burst on RUclips but I forgot where it is (it was just as Fontaine released, before its first banner even ended). A constellation 0 Hydro MC’s burst moves close enough to an Anemo MC burst they can keep enemies in their AOEs, but since one of Hydro MC’s constellations changes the burst speed, that stops being the case with constellations.

A team I find works really well for her is her with venti, Raiden, and bennet as a single target electro charge team! Electro charge isn’t that great but seeing the rapid amount of hits with the fast pace of lumines skill, venti burst, Raiden e, and electro charge is really fun! Also Bennetts js there to buff and heal so u can swap him out with someone of your own choice
I remember I crowned hydro traveler skill and hydro traveler is the only reason I built traveler properly because it's so funny to me idk why and I genuinely enjoy their play style
You should test how the hydro damage here compares to hydro damage dealth by absorbing hydro with the anemo traveler, compared to what you got here. Really looking forward to the anemo video.
I want them to split the elemental travellers into separately selectable units, so you can roleplay as canon traveller by swapping between all 4 of his elements as needed, and gear each separately, simply by assinging multiple travellers to your party
You can also pair Hydro MC with Venti and two pyro characters and use ventis ult to shoot fish in a barrell. You can use him with layla, charlotte and albedo for freeze shatter and cherry on top shoot from Albedos elevator. Grow an imagination and there are a lot of things you can do.
I used Nymph's Dream for hydro traveler for dps and its good but a little bit harder we must use normal, charge, and skill to get maximum stack of Nymph's Dream it gave 30% hydro dmg bonus + 25% atk higher than 2 set 18% atk and 15% hydro dmg bonus. Dont worry about time limit its 8 second, hydro traveler skill is 6 second I know this artifact is bad for all hydro but idk why i feel like the dmg higher than another artifact
If I were to make a build around hydro atm, I would probs do tazer with; Crit HY-Trav(4p:Nymph), HP Xingqui(2p:Tenacity&2p:Vourukasha), EM raiden(4p:Thundering), and EM ororon(4p:Gilded). the idea playing more toward trav's E

Does the dendro core interaction make the burst apply more hydro? If it changes the interaction there could be a use case in bloom, fridge and Nilou bloom teams. Back then, the Nilou main madlads used Collei against the Wenut because of her frontloaded dendro application was better suited to the hell worm's short vulnerability period. Maybe HMC Collei Nahida can make some sort of bloom chain reaction. There was a similar unexpected interaction with Barbara's E, normally it hits an enemy in its radius every cooldown and "pulses" every time it touches a new enemy and dendro cores used to count for that, so every 3 dendro cores would cause her to apply hydro again (3 hit rule), against 3 enemies she could easily overpower the dendro aura of Nahida and another dendro combined. This interaction was removed because we can't have good things, but maybe our Hoyoverlords forgor about HMC just like we did...
I actually really enjoy Hydro Traveler haha "Wipe out!" makes me giggle, I made him pretty strong though... The team I use is HTraveler, Neuvillette, Baizhu, and Fischl
maybe it seems so bad because there's no good other nature applicator in the team, it hardly relies on baizhu to only apply for bloom and kazuha to reduce natures res. maybe on the next episode or part 2, try MC, Raiden, Nahida, Kazuha/Furina? less ER requirements (since raiden on emblem sets), More Applicator (Hydro,Electro,Dendro,Anemo if you wanted to include em too), More Varies Damage Focus/Flexibility (Electrocuted, Bloom, Hyperbloom, Aggravated, etc)
u actually might be able to get tiny bit faster clears too with kazuha on a damage build since hydro swirls don’t do damage. i’m still shocked you managed to clear at all tbh i thought hydro MC was unsalvageable 😭
1:01 OF COURSE it stops for nothing. Also, you weren't aiming it the right way. Of course, a good deal of the time, the HMC Burst tends to head to the wrong target, but I strive to do my fricking best. Also, I pair it with Diluc's burst so both the Phoenix and hydro ball coincide with each other while plowing through enemies.

I just got the Hydro traveler C6 and she is actually pretty good Because I finished the archon quest I got her constellations so that’s how I got it C6 and I also bought some I think and she actually doesn’t take damage from using her scale anymore she self heals really good I do recommend and also Good damage

The reason traveler dosent have Pyro is because there is no official Pyro archon, meaning time to time is a new Pyro archon. Unlike other regions of momdstadt liyue inazuma sumeru and Fontaine, since the tsaritsa is the formal cryo archon I think, but made signore, meaning to say tsaritsa is not signora
3:10 Yeah, but you forgot that this scaling is increased by Resolve stacks, the one that says "6.22% Initial" which means you really have much higher multiplier.
For example on level 10 burst deals 721.4% DMG of ATK, but if you include 60 Resolve stacks, it's gonna be 1141.3% DMG of ATK now. So in reality the difference is much-much bigger than it seems ok first glance. In the end, Traveler's burst deals less than 1/5th part of Shogun's Initial damage.
Ive been using Hydro MC since fontaine released and I have had zero issues with him. In fact Ive mained the Traveler since the games launch. I 36 starred the spiral abyss with him too. Heres the thing, if you play a unit stupidly they dont perform well. My Hydro Traveler is built 100% for damage. I use him in a sniperbloom party with Raiden, Nahida and Kuki. Nahida solves for elemental mastery, Raiden solves for energy recharge and Kuki heals so good that your party is unkillable. The travelers kit is bad if you have no imagination or experience with other games. If you arent a fool hes actually very easy to use and the damage you can get out of him, with shielding and healing is decent enough.
I just got the uraku misugiri and tried it on every element of traveler's The numbers were crazy and here they r Hydro-50k highest with combo is 1.3m Geo-70k highest with como is 1.2m Electro [phy dmg build]-15k-16k per hit Dendro [mostly with ult and hyper bloom]-10k-12k fast hitting dmg Anemo-2k building up to 77k Anemo was shocked me that it was the lowest

while not possible in single player, hydro mc's best companion might be the anemo mc. anema mc s burst also moves forward, while keeping small enemies inside. so what you can theoritically do is to use anemo mc burst, swirling pyro, and follow up with hydro mc burst to make a moving vaporize pillar. might be worth a try in multiplayer
There is one issue with this, HMC's c2 makes them move at different speeds iirc, making it so that this isn't as practical to use. Pre-c2, this does work, but then you don't get the rest of the constellations, so it's a give and take.

I think the big problem with Electro Traveler is that people just forgot they existed by the time Dendro happened and they started to have more value.

Electro was my favorite until Dendro came out and I was forced to switch to it due to lack of alternatives. By that time I also got more Electro so I never switched back. I know Geo and Anemo were actually decent as well and had their uses, but Electro was the first Traveler kit that I actually enjoyed using.

Just use Candance’s burst and Hydro Traveler’s tap skill and whale into the enemy with Normal Attacks infused with Hydro
and then bring Baizhu and Nilou and you will get an okay team but would work much better if you replace Hydro MC with Nahida instead or any other hydro/dendro character
The issue with normal attack infused is that they have normal icd which mean only 1 weak hydro application every 3 hit and normal attack have low range so it doesn't work super well in AOE while being too weak for single target

You know, HMC's Burst would synergize perfectly with AMC's Burst. Mihoyo might have plans to allow players to eventually combine elemental attunements (2 accessible elemental attunement slots instead of 1), which could create combined kit effects (and make for a really interesting combinatorics level of kit building). I.e. HMC + AMC Burst would be a moving, swirling mass of Anemo and Hydro that pulls and carries enemies with it. And the Skill would be a long moment of standing still firing small hydro vortexes that pull enemies in on impact and detonate with a hydro + anemo blast + swirl. It'd be easy to implement, just slightly alter the built-in Attunement system when interacting with a statue to then select which "slot" to replace. THEN Traveler's multiple kits wouldn't be a "well this one's weaker than this other one, so I guess I'll never use it beyond puzzles" anymore, but now a question of "this new kit has an odd niche, I wonder how it interacts with the rest of the accessible kits."

I doubt that they will allow us to change elements mid battle. It breaks the whole point of the game and the combat system that is based on team building, synergy and following rotation. Plus, there's no use for a multi-elemental character in the game in general...
It's a cracked theory, but people have been saying that the traveler's burst is reminiscent of the dragons abilities (I.e. anemo dragon and the tornadoes, dendro dragon and the bulb, hydro dragons hydro pump), while the skill is the severely toned down version of the archons abilities (I.e. Zhongli and his pillar, raiden and her burst, Venti and the vortex)

I was literally tryna farm oculus for C6 Hydro Traveler yesterday, this can't be a coincidence
In before, that interaction with the dendro cores is going to be fixed next patch for no reason at all.
I accidentally picked HMC one time during some kind of event, the team comp consist of HMC, Nahida, Nilou, Yaoyao.
At first, I marked enemies with Nahida's skill then accidentally pressed HMC burst(I play on mobile) and then immediately died because of bloom damage.
So I tried using HMC again equipped with FLOP Em + Er and cleared some spiral abyss floor in around 15-20 seconds because of HMC burst.
Therefore I conclude that HMC might be viable with Nahida C2

They could have made a tennis character where everything is based around the burst. Normal attacks can hit the burst and change the direction and the skill can add to the burst to make it bigger. The burst would explode after a certain amount of water droplets added to the burst and also after a certain amount of normal attack hits. It would be a dumb play style that wouldn’t always pay off if enemies are too mobile but at least it would be fun
Honestly, IMO Hydro MC beats Aloy, Xinyan, and Qiqi as the worst character in the entire game. Not just a bad kit, but they are pretty much useless

My Hydro MC isn't built, but while just messing around, Hydro MC, Furina, Bennett, and Kazuha was a pretty nice feeling team tbh. Just make sure to swirl pyro with Kazuha's burst and you have some nice vaporize. Bennett is Hydro MC's perfect teammate because you don't have to worry about leaving his burst's range. You might've tried that already in your other video though, idk. Just thought I'd put it out there. You could also do a burn-vape style team with a dendro character, Xiangling, and Bennett as well. I personally would use Emilie but I didn't see her on your account. Could also use characters like Layla for freeze, or Fischl for electro-charged. Idk, just spit-balling ideas.

I understood why people disliked Hydro MC, but I personally loved them a lot. They deal a decent amount of damage for overworld, which made them the perfect MC for story quest for me.
My Lumine has been hydro this whole year and only changed element once during the Narzissenkreuz quest because Rene was immune to Hydro. I sometimes bring her to the abyss as a secondary healer and a droplet provider for Neuvillette.

It being almost exclusively single-target is definitely a serious downside. I do recognize that the overall DPS is higher than people tend to assume because you're getting about 4 instances of damage per second, but for a point of comparison, look at how it compares to someone like Noelle, who hits about half as often but twice as hard, but also isn't field-locked or gated by CD and has very generous AoE.
I'm telling you if the burst stayed like Ayaka's burst or made a constilation for them that did that hydro mc would have been at least viable as a burst hydro support.

And yet I still love the Hydro kit. Anemo and Hydro are probably the most fun to actually use in combat. Geo's good but kind of requires more free time to finesse than a lot of fights will give you if you're soloing them as the Traveler and can't get a Crystallize. Both Electro and Dendro do work but I keep seeing their slight failings instead of their strengths while playing them; they're objectively powerful but less fun for me to play.
...I'm still hoping to be disappointed by Pyro. (This is because I'm hoping the very early hints that Pyro and Cryo are the two elements the siblings don't feel the same way about lead to their kits for these two elements being distinct beyond animations, and I main Lumine. Given all the early bits of the game that are being trimmed away, I'd feel it's worth having one truly weak kit to see that lore fragment preserved.)

A constellation 0 Hydro MC’s burst moves close enough to an Anemo MC burst they can keep enemies in their AOEs, but since one of Hydro MC’s constellations changes the burst speed, that stops being the case with constellations.

A team I find works really well for her is her with venti, Raiden, and bennet as a single target electro charge team! Electro charge isn’t that great but seeing the rapid amount of hits with the fast pace of lumines skill, venti burst, Raiden e, and electro charge is really fun! Also Bennetts js there to buff and heal so u can swap him out with someone of your own choice

The best way to make hydro mc do dmg is to build physical
I want them to split the elemental travellers into separately selectable units, so you can roleplay as canon traveller by swapping between all 4 of his elements as needed, and gear each separately, simply by assinging multiple travellers to your party
You can also pair Hydro MC with Venti and two pyro characters and use ventis ult to shoot fish in a barrell.
You can use him with layla, charlotte and albedo for freeze shatter and cherry on top shoot from Albedos elevator.
Grow an imagination and there are a lot of things you can do.
I used Nymph's Dream for hydro traveler for dps and its good but a little bit harder we must use normal, charge, and skill to get maximum stack of Nymph's Dream it gave 30% hydro dmg bonus + 25% atk higher than 2 set 18% atk and 15% hydro dmg bonus. Dont worry about time limit its 8 second, hydro traveler skill is 6 second

Does the dendro core interaction make the burst apply more hydro? If it changes the interaction there could be a use case in bloom, fridge and Nilou bloom teams.
Back then, the Nilou main madlads used Collei against the Wenut because of her frontloaded dendro application was better suited to the hell worm's short vulnerability period. Maybe HMC Collei Nahida can make some sort of bloom chain reaction.
There was a similar unexpected interaction with Barbara's E, normally it hits an enemy in its radius every cooldown and "pulses" every time it touches a new enemy and dendro cores used to count for that, so every 3 dendro cores would cause her to apply hydro again (3 hit rule), against 3 enemies she could easily overpower the dendro aura of Nahida and another dendro combined. This interaction was removed because we can't have good things, but maybe our Hoyoverlords forgor about HMC just like we did...
As far as I can tell, it doesn't because the application is on the core rather than the enemy being hit, so it doesn't override icds.

maybe it seems so bad because there's no good other nature applicator in the team, it hardly relies on baizhu to only apply for bloom and kazuha to reduce natures res.
maybe on the next episode or part 2, try MC, Raiden, Nahida, Kazuha/Furina? less ER requirements (since raiden on emblem sets), More Applicator (Hydro,Electro,Dendro,Anemo if you wanted to include em too), More Varies Damage Focus/Flexibility (Electrocuted, Bloom, Hyperbloom, Aggravated, etc)

1:01 OF COURSE it stops for nothing. Also, you weren't aiming it the right way. Of course, a good deal of the time, the HMC Burst tends to head to the wrong target, but I strive to do my fricking best. Also, I pair it with Diluc's burst so both the Phoenix and hydro ball coincide with each other while plowing through enemies.

I just got the Hydro traveler C6 and she is actually pretty good Because I finished the archon quest I got her constellations so that’s how I got it C6 and I also bought some I think and she actually doesn’t take damage from using her scale anymore she self heals really good I do recommend and also Good damage

The reason traveler dosent have Pyro is because there is no official Pyro archon, meaning time to time is a new Pyro archon. Unlike other regions of momdstadt liyue inazuma sumeru and Fontaine, since the tsaritsa is the formal cryo archon I think, but made signore, meaning to say tsaritsa is not signora
3:10 Yeah, but you forgot that this scaling is increased by Resolve stacks, the one that says "6.22% Initial" which means you really have much higher multiplier.
For example on level 10 burst deals 721.4% DMG of ATK, but if you include 60 Resolve stacks, it's gonna be 1141.3% DMG of ATK now. So in reality the difference is much-much bigger than it seems ok first glance.
In the end, Traveler's burst deals less than 1/5th part of Shogun's Initial damage.

This is my first time seeing the hydro mc's burst
Ive been using Hydro MC since fontaine released and I have had zero issues with him. In fact Ive mained the Traveler since the games launch.
I 36 starred the spiral abyss with him too.
Heres the thing, if you play a unit stupidly they dont perform well.
My Hydro Traveler is built 100% for damage. I use him in a sniperbloom party with Raiden, Nahida and Kuki. Nahida solves for elemental mastery, Raiden solves for energy recharge and Kuki heals so good that your party is unkillable.
The travelers kit is bad if you have no imagination or experience with other games. If you arent a fool hes actually very easy to use and the damage you can get out of him, with shielding and healing is decent enough.

Hydro-50k highest with combo is 1.3m
Geo-70k highest with como is 1.2m
Electro [phy dmg build]-15k-16k per hit
Dendro [mostly with ult and hyper bloom]-10k-12k fast hitting dmg
Anemo-2k building up to 77k
Anemo was shocked me that it was the lowest
