I wouldn't blame fully on her element. I think it's the way they designed her. Her burst mostly fine but her skill is what really killed make it hard for PHY characters. Its pyro application is way too situational but it also disrupts with Superconduct reaction.
her being pyro prevents a lot superconduct reactions being triggered, something that benefits a lot in amplifying the physical dmg, even if u try putting really good electro and cryo applicator in one team.
@e5364 Well cyno isn't dogshit if you know how to play him correctly. His long ult helps many situations in the abyss. However that long ult disappears when he is switched out, making him a very inconvenience against small enemies. He is bad in exploration as there are many small and weak enemies that die too fast from cyno's ult, wasting his energy greatly. However, with many of his cons, he has seen a quite glow-up with the addition of furina, being a good consistend hydro applier for his long ult. But overall, his playstyle is tricky and bring inconveniences to many people Dehya is still dogshit even with fontaine's addition. However she improved a bit if you put her with lyney and neuvi teams, because she provides a resistance to interruption so lyney and neuvi can have more dps time and not interrupted as well as decent pyro applications. But, she doesn't have a buffing kit making her fall behind bennett in terms of team's dmg output. Candace is mid because there are many other supports that are better than her unless you want to play a hydro infused dps from candance such as hydro keqing and budget c6 furina Xinyan is a total dogshit due to her irrelevance of her being a pyro physical user, pyro doesn't provide anything for physical and instead ruin it. Superconduct and shatter reactions, these that benefit physical dmg, is ruined by pyro and her pyro application. Unless xinyan is played as a pyro dps with the support of c6 bennett but her dmg output is still mid anyway
Hydro MC was the hardest hit for us MC mains. At least Geo is seeing use thanks to Furina and Noelle, plus Electro has use. Dendro is still a great sub-DPS and support unit for meta.
Even anemo has some degree of CC but hydro yeah,it literally has nothing. Mine's triple crowned and the dmg he deals is about one and a bit of Xinqiu's skill -_-
her role in neuv and lyney teams rly saved her im guessing (and chev). she’s also arguably the best in underwater combat bc she’s the only automatic self-healer (not that underwater combat is that relevant tho)
Good news is she still has some use cases thanks to Fontaine releases. Never the best choice, but also never bad. Granted, she'll need Cashflow, 4P Hunter/Whispers, and Bennett & Furina to work (with a 2nd Geo for the resonance, likely GMC or Gorou); but the potential is there for a quickswap Geo team. At the theoretical max investment her damage per rotation is 1.3mil, so assuming 50% BiS being around 600-800k that's actually not terrible.
Funnily enough, her main relevant use now (outside of playing her for fun) is for buffing and enabling high investment/optimization Hu Tao VV-vape speed running team stuff (she enables the pyro swirl, quickly procs Elegy and Instructor, gives Pyro res, and at C6, an attack buff).
If Genshin did what Star Rail did where they released 5 star versions of their 4 star counterparts, Ningguang definitely deserved to be one. It just really baffles me that the person who saved the entirety of Liyue was just a 4 star.
But maybe Navia is a 5-star counterpart of Ningguang, they have backloaded damage, needed a certain condition to max it out, both of them excels single target and scales atk. Its clear as day that the scalings mattered a lot to determine the usability of an On-field DPS and the ease of use playstyle.
@@KorinIta Hard to say, his kit is very simple and many units can do his job with something more to the table. The one thing makes him unique is his C2 for every kill adds duration up-time for his burst, But if your thinking about his base kit alone, having cryo-app that is not circle impact, and can also heals himself with his skill. Well, Qiqi says hi, but thats a whole different story.
Xinyan was doomed from the start and she didn't deserve it She has such a cool design (one of my favourite in the game), nice personality, relatable backstory, great music theme... I love her (I even named my cat after her) Just why, Hoyoverse, why
I'm lowkey tired of people saying this so: no she wasnt a 5 star, we have plenty of awesome 4 stars that didn't get nerfed. Also no she doesn't rule over any 5 stars besides Yelan, she's part of the Qixing which means she's on the same level as Keqing.
12:38 Unrelated but 100% honest C6 Lisa is one of the best units in the entire game. But try getting C6 for Lisa, it's already an unbeatable challenge.
@@notebookofmath nahida obviously, but she also works well with dendro traveller, xinqgio venti or jean if you lay their bursts on top of each other, kokomi.
Geo should have different reactions, most of them provide a shield, hydro and geo could slow a target, with anemo could create the same effect as the mud attack from the treasure hoarders, it blinds the opponents, with dendro it spreads seed so it also gives a way to react to pyro, electro, with pyro it could create magma, and with electro it could give the party a speed boost or reduce the electro damage you take
Reminder that Geo is Rock, Crystal, not Dirt. Its point and concept is that it crystalises, it nullifies, arrests the elements. To have it be dissolved in water, melted by fire, corroded by wind, broken by roots makes it... not strong.
yeah, NO. That's ridiculous and a bunch of cope. the only thing they need to do is change Crystallize's properties, like giving each type of elemental Crystal a different buff. Pryo gives a 10% Attack Buff, Hydro heals some HP or increases it temporarily, Electro restores energy or increases ER temporarily, Cryo increases Crit Rate, Dendro increases EM etc.
8:20 you're looking at it wrong. The traveler's elemental powers don't mimic the archons of the respective element, they mimic the respective dragon sovereigns' powers. Hence why traveler's finger gun pew pews water droplets when compared to Neuvillette's Hydro Pump.
I feel like it's based more on who holds the authority at the time. Because the archons hold dragon authority (a large fraction, it seems) the Traveler mimics how they and the sovereigns use that power with the ratio leaning more on sovereigns. My reason of why Hydro Traveler is so similar to Neuvillette with source water droplets is because there's no catalyst (archon) between the sovereigns and the element sponge (traveler) so Neuvillette is directly lending them his power instead of through, say, the statue of the seven/archon. That's just my interpretation though
I predicted Amber to be here, I love her personality but man who thought of her kit and let it slide. I wish they at least made her more useful, Hoyo really hates her
Honestly, if Ningguang didn't have other problems I wouldn't even think her damage/element as being reason enough to be on this list. She can be a good quickswap or support, and can actually output pretty great DPS for a 4 star. Not on the level of actual meta carries of course but you don't need godlike artifacts/a 5 star weapon for her to do her job at an acceptable level like some other characters. IMO her main problems are just... clunkiness in her kit. Her screen disappears if a fat enemy walks near it, her particle CD being so long impedes her ability to quickly generate mass particles despite her skill reset, her NA string is inconsistent and awful and it's really annoying to try and minmax her NA/CA combos. It all adds up to her actual gameplay being more frustrating than fun, regardless of her numbers. If she was more fun mechanically I'd think she'd actually be a great character, and solidly mid tier. But mediocre numbers + feelsbad to play make her sadly close to unplayable for me.
As a qiqi main I’ll never not stop hearing she’s the worst but that’s fine I’ll let my qiqi clear the abyss for me until there’s a room that just doesn’t like her ( idk when that will be ) but I’ll be waiting 😂.
tbh Qiqi still feels like the best coop-healer; u just use your burst and as everyone is hitting the enemy and creates particals, your Qiqi recharges fast enough, can apply another talisman via NA and heals with every hit (sacrificial sword makes her healing uptime 100%) but the best part about Qiqi is how well her character is designed; she is a zombie after all rigor mortis -> slow movements preservation -> cryo brain rot -> notebook as open world passive I understand that her kit can't compare to the top for a long time now, but she still carried my team for the first year of Genshin
qiqi can actually be saved by a char just dealing damage based on overheal, and him not being locked at 100%HP, but creating an extra 100%HP bar above his health that is just overheal. Qiqi's ultimate would just heal too much if at the end of this chars ultimate it exploded with high multipliers, it would be insane.
What build do you use? I'm trying to build a supercharge based team and I picked her as a support (alas, the only cryo character I own besides Kaeya). I'm still not completely satisfied with her healing potential. Should I max her attack stat or should I give her more ult recharge to get more heals?
For ning, im surprised you didnt mention how she works okay WITH navia, because she takes up a small amount of field time for her combo. Also there is one team that capitalizes on ambers off field app, which is VV hu tao with amber on elegy. i dont really blame you for not mentioning that one tho
@@abdiabdi3225 well, yes, but you can still play her that way, it may not be as good as albedo but if you don't have albedo then it's ok. Flat out ignoring it and comparing Ning to navia is a bit unfair to Ning imo
@@abdiabdi3225 The thing is that Albedo is a 5* which means you'll be spending primos on his banner just so you can give Navia a battery when you could've just used Ningguang or even geo MC.
it's true, also mentionning it's a competitively close to Albedo, while a character like Kaveh isn't in any competition (Nilou Bloom obliterates him, and Alhaitham/TIghnari/Nahida obliterates him in the Spread department)
She is more like old Aurelion. Both have stellar designs (pun intended), both are incredibly powerful in lore, but both do colossal amounts of damage yet clunky to play. I say this as a former Aurelion main and current Ningguang main.
@@moonlightskyler7620 She is bad. He already has a video on why no one plays her. She’s just not bottom five bad. She’s clunky, hard to get useful cons for, etc.
Tbf the biggest problem with Qiqi is only her obnoxiously long cooldown as her energy regen can be somewhat negated with an R5 Favonious Sword. It sucks because she does have a use and her healing is more than sufficiant but in her case it's just a matter of there being better options sadly.
I prefer to have her use Sacrificial Sword and Ocean Hued Clam, then pair her with Beidou, Xingqiu, or anyone else that needs a driver since she's got pretty fast normal attacks and a huge base defense to let her take hits between healing tics.
Honestly though, Vars was incorrect in claiming that Qiqi did not benefit by Furina. She may not be as good as other characters for the 'on-feild team healer' role when they are also fulfiling another important function in the team, but that doesn't change that the entire role has become much more valuable with Furina, to the point that you can make reasonable teams even with healers that do nothing other than enable Furina. Considering that it does make it harder to justify Qiqi there when we have Kaveh lol.
I made my QiQi work. My team was Raiden, Nahids, QiQi and Xinqui. Basically use Raidens skill, Nahidas skill + burst, Xinquis skill + burst and then Qiqis skill + burst followed by Raidens burst. You are basically immortal for all of Raidens burst and she ensures Qiqis burst is up 100% of the time. Using R5 Amenoma Kageuchi on QiQi and use a full Noblesse set on her. Whenever the rotation doesn't work out I use everyones skill then just use QiQi on field to heal and regen energy from the particles generated by the others
The cooldown is bad, but can be fixed with an R5 Sacrificial Sword to have basically 100% uptime. And this also helps with her energy needs, if you have her C1. The real issue with Qiqi is that she heals, and that's it. No particle generation. No offensive buff. Not good on the cryo application front either. And since plenty of other healers provide things besides healing, while still healing enough (and freaking 3 of them are also cryo), it is to be expected that she doesn't get used much.
I think hydro MC was greatly underpowered for the sole reason that because you unlock them so late into the game, there is was no need game progression-wise to make them viable at all. Compared to the other versions: Anemo MC is your 1st character ever and your main source of reaction dmg so atleast they were made useable so the player learns the basic game mechanics especially skill/burst and swapping though the team to enable reactions Geo MC was one of the the player's 1st introductions to the geo element especially if they haven't yet used the gacha system (my 1st pull happened in the middle of the 2nd archon quest for example) and not only was they a good sub dps, their skill both helped in exploration and some puzzles in liyue needed a geo construct tobe done and without geo MC, if you didn't pull a zhongli for example you would have been basically locked behind that part of map exploration. (One of the few praises I can give mihoyo is how every puzzle in genshin is f2p friendly/doable) Electro MC, while an underwhelming step compared to the pervious one, atleast introduces the element's relationship to energy which tbh maybe quite a stretch that a player who reached inazuma didn't get any other electro character other than lisa and therefore did not organically learn about that. But more than makes up for it being one of the best electro batteries in the game. Dendro MC is the prime example of my rant. Because in ver 3.0 they were the first introduction for dendro for both veterans and new players (Collei was also there but honestly for an element that lives on rapid reactions, she was too slow of an dendro applier tobe a good showcase for it), dendro MC was in my opinion overpowered as mihoyo was over pushing the dendro element and having a character that everyone has (and probably already leveled) was a very good advertisement for it making many players leave their comfort zones, trying, later loving and more importantly pulling on the new element. Hydro MC was not only obtainable in mid-late game, but because hydro is such an reaction friendly element I believe every genshin player has atleast tried it quite a bit before reaching fontaine (freeze/vape/electro-charged..etc) and dont forget barbara being everyones 1st healer. Hydro MC only job was to showcase the pneuma ousia mechanic with lynette and the HP draining kit that many fontaine characters have and therefore there was no need for mihoyo game progression-wise to make them (a free character) viable at all. Which honestly sucks for all traveler mains because if my yapping is true, pyro MC will be the exact same. TLDR: because Hydro MC doesn't teach you anything new, they were made as shitty as possible Edit: A fellow traveller showed me how good electro MC really is in being a battery.
"goodish Electro battery" nothing, Electro Traveller is arguably the second best battery in the entire game, and their moveset is basically Electro Xingqiu, but with buffs/charges based on Energy and ER% rather than HP. Plus, unlike the Raiden Shogun, their Burst actually does work with Beidou's.
amber main reporting in Amber has the most intensive pyro application in the game. it is a small burst but dammmm does it apply pyro like there's no tomorrow.
And she is S-tier for exploration - about 90% of the gameplay. On top of this she is pleasant. No annoying sound effects, no obnoxious voice lines and no questionable design.
She's good just requires a lot of investment and some constellations, which I've been playing since 1.0 and literally only have her C1 so I applaud anyone who was lucky enough to get her C6
11:27 the only use case scenario i ever found for amber is to use 4 piece instructor set for VV vape hutao with kazuha, no other units can pull off removing yelans hydro app to trigger a reaction and have enough pyro app to use kazuhas swirl, and all of that in under 3 seconds
Yep lol. It bothered me when he said "only there's not a single team that capitalizes on Amber's type of application." It is a high investment/optimization speedrunning team, but still very much a team. I think the thing that really sets her apart in that role though is that she can do that and hold Elegy. I believe that Bennett can technically enable the vape too, but he can't hold Elegy. Probably less relevant now, but Amber's burst is the only way I know of to to vape all of Xingqiu's skill hits which actually makes it a pretty strong nuke. The only problem is that I doubt he is still the optimal high investment pick for that Hu Tao team so it is more of a cool trick than something you can integrate well into an optimal team.
@@kanoaikaim not quite talking about speedrunning but more of a meta/maxing out hu taos damage. I've tried bennet and its a lot harder to pull off. Yeah now plunge is the meta for hu tao with furina but id advise yelan there as 2nd hydro, or even mona, since i struggle alo to keep hydro on enemies with just furina
I used ningguang in mono geo team comp along with itto, zhongli and gorou. Although she might not be able to fill the demands of a main dps, she's great as a geo battery as well as a burst sub dps(mines C6). So although she might not be the strongest main dps or supporter, her burst dps is very hard to match in most instances.
I agree 100% hydro traveler is objectively bad, that being said as the dedicated traveler main I am I have made it viable to clear most abyss floors. I use Furinas sword on him, Golden troupe set and pair with Zhongli, Venti and Bennet. The idea is you use bennets burst, Ventis burst and then use hydro travelers skill to shoot the crap out of the floating enemies. It wil never beat a other 5 star but the Damage is not useless.
If you put that level investment into Neuvilette, he will solo clear that same floor. It's just a sad reality that not all characters are created equal. But good work, Traveler main, keep up the hustle.
@@Blackoutdmc that's BS. neuvillette isn*t THAT great either. you get the same dmg output with wanderer and a decent build. while wanderer shoots even higher. hydro traveler with a good built can make high physical hits in between while neuvillette depends on burst or skill. traveler is amazing and in EACH element if you build them on crit dmg. I play physical traveler and each charged hit is 20k plus elemental dmg and you don'T need any otherteam member, and OP here made a goood build (even tho I disagree with the team since I would never put bennet in my team hahaha and I don't play with team comps since my venti is also fully solo dps) but the point is NO genshin character is "bad". you just find them" bad". to me xiao is the worst character and other find him great. but if you say xiao is bad people ask "why?" but if all collectively decide qiqi, traveler, aloy, dehya is bad then nobody asks why. but if you say it's good there are stupid comments like "bruh why not invest in a good char instead?" hahaha so stupid. but toxic genshin fandom for you
@glasperle77 I never said Wanderer was bad. I didn't say Xiao was bad. I never accused any character of being bad. In fact, I have both characters, and naturally, I can clear abyss with both. So I understand that you may be frustrated there are better units than your personal favorites. I only deal in facts. And here is a fact: c0 Neuvilettes can solo a side of abyss. Because it has been done on NUMEROUS occasions. It is a fact that "Not all characters are created equally." That's why people use Fischle over electro traveler, and Kuki over Dori, and Hu Tao over Diluc. And it's a fact that Hydro traveller's is cheeks. And I'm sorry if that offends you. You're free to have your own opinions about the matter of course, but don't let it come to the point of being completely delusional.
Qiqi is actually so good in coop. When I played in coop with randoms we always died easily and she was the best at keeping the team alive. There is no healer as good in coop as her because she heals a ton, can heal a whole party at once and you don't have to stay in the same spot to get healed (like with kokomi's skill, bennett ult, diona ult). Whenever someone brought her to coop we finished boss or any other domain without any issues and for this reason only I believe she has her uses and her kit is good enough as there is really no better coop healer then her (at least with random people where noone can dodge lol)
Vars you didnt talk about ningguang as a quick swap dps. She is really good with navia. Use ningguang burst and skill swap to navia burst skill and recycle.
The glaring omission of how much damage she can pump out in a short window, while instead talking like she's an greedy field time hog like Noelle, just shows a basic lack of understanding about the character.
8:10 actually, it’s been theorized that the Traveller’s elemental skill is linked, or a reflection of the dragon sovereign of that particular element instead of the Archons
Good thing Genshin is an open world game, so even the worst characters still have a place in the game for those who just want to use them to explore the world, whereas in most other Gachas the worst characters never see the light of day.
@@cartoonvideos5 that's how most people cope with trash characters like qiqi, amber, nin, and so on. If mihoyo started to lock in and gave actual challenging content instead of dmg sponges, they would finally admit they are garbage.
5:10 there is a universe where she will be good if they implement stat caps toward the end of the game or diminishing returns which are sometimes rumoured, dual scalers may end up becoming the gods of the game, but I don't think it's worth banking on
if anyone has an aquila favonia sword (or the flute) and just wants to give qiqi some love, i have a super good team that can get through anything.. even the hardest abyss sections. I use a team that has qiqi (clam set), nahida (deep wood set), yelan (emblem set) and raiden on paradise lost set but she can also use gilded dreams. basically qiqi is the on-fielder since she heals with her normal attacks. her artifact set benefits a lot from it and you will get that 30k bubble pop every time. everybody on the team is an off field support, so that gives qiqi the privilege to be the on-fielder for her heals lol. the reason why i chose these characters to be on her team, is because hyperbloom is a super strong reaction that can make anyone who works with it look good. qiqi's cryo doesn't really interfere with the hyperblooms. another reason why the team is hyperbloom specifically, and not burgeon, is because cryo and electro make super conduct which makes physical dmg stronger. the clam set qiqi uses actually does go above 30k when it pops after super conduct (even though it says it doesn't count as physical dmg). reasons why i use this team over most other teams is that this team is literally immortal. with qiqi, nobody ever dies. also there's literally nothing that this team can't kill. name it and it's dead by the qiqi team lmaoo oh and i forgot to say that you gotta build qiqi with full on atk, with healing bonus as the circlet. and build raiden with full em with dragon's bane because she's the one triggering the hyperblooms. and also build nahida more as a dps rather than just full on em.. bc she only buffs the character on field with her em bonus, and qiqi doesn't need the em... give nahida em sands, dendro goblet, and crit rate circlet bc you should already have crit dmg if you're using the widsith.
Ning Guang is not exactly an on-fielder that needs to stay long on field, same goes for Navia; both can be in the same team because they are playing quickswap style, and Ning can even buff geo damage for Navia. It's open screen, walk thru, burst, charge attack her jades, open 2nd screen, and then swap. No extended field time needed, you can swap to Navia/others. Also same reason why Keqing and Tighnari can work together. Quickswap damage dealers don't need long field time. Qiqi is just sad, the only healer I can't seem to make work with Furina. Aloy - I feel that Chongyun, a 4* unit from 1.0 of all ppl, outclasses her.
I couldn't agree more. I was about to post the same thing. She is used as a quick swap sub-DPS/support on my geo teams a lot. Having her as an on field DPS isn't the only way to use her.
She definitely is an on fielder, she's designed to be main DPS. She just happen to also be able to work in quick swap team. She's also the second best 4 star main DPS.
About qiqi and furina.. I use qiqi in a hyper fridge team with furina. All she does is heal, drive, and do occasional dmg with clam, but it has been working so far. Definitely helps that hyperbloom is broken and Furina, nahida, and raiden do a lot of dmg by themselves though.
his point still stand.. why would you use ning guang, when a navia team would prefer to have zhong li, gorou and bennet ? who would you replace? survivability and debuffs wizh zhong li? damage increase and good particles generation gorou? bennet? I love ning guang, but both as dps and support there are better characters, sadly.
Ima really surprised what you don't put Dehya here cuz everybody says what she's too weak, that's true, but now I have another force to play game more knowing what my main not the worst character ☺
Its daganronpa music thruought bro. The music all thru this video is from one of the games (altho I can't find which one lmfao) Edit: after relentless searching for 14 minutes, it is "beautiful dead" from dr1.
Out of everyone here my most used one is Amber, Reason was exploration. Amber being both a pyro and bow characters is really helpful as there are chest that are covered in vines, there are the bloatty floaties, the anemo slime "puzzle" and the time challenge for bow characters. Lastly is her talent that decreased stamina when gliding.
During the start If fontaine I was really exited to see what Furina's kit would be like seeing the hydro traveler. But then we see that he is a lot more like Neuvilliette than Furina. After the archon quest, I suppose it was on purpose 😰😰😰
Respectfully, Ningguang shouldn't be on this list. Candace doesn't even have a good role in any team, she should be there. Regarding Hydro mc, it may be underwhelming but holy shit is it a lot of fun. I built this team with mc, nahida, kuki, collei and i had a lot of fun in the overworld. Definitely not a viable character technically speaking but I have fun with hydro mc, unlike the other characters mentioned.
Since getting Gorou a couple weeks ago, and having C5 Yun Jin, I decided to try to make a Geo team centered around Ningguang. It's...well, it's the weakest team I've played in awhile, but it's hard to compare to Neuvillette, Alhaitham, Ayaka, etc 😅
My girl Xinyan will always be amazing and the best in my eyes. Being a dps yes, she’s not great at all, but she’s a great pyro shield if you build her right. I have over 3k defense and crowned her skill and not ONCE has it broke in abyss 12. You need to hit 3 opponents to get the best shield protection. but 2 is still great, and things can still be done with 1. People need to stop sleeping on her when she can do so much as a shielder or even a pyro applicator with her burst. I use her with Navia and even Lyney
even if that’s true, that doesn’t change the whole sentiment of “why choose her over anyone else” zhongli provides the biggest shield and res shred, layla is the 2nd strongest shield and has great cryo application and damage, thoma’s shield is very strong if stacked and he’s the best character for burgeon, kirara has amazing dendro application as well as a strong shield and a big ult damage nuke, noelle is pretty relevant as a shielder and dps with furina, baizhu provides teamwide healing/interruption res/reaction buffing/dendro application, even c4 tankfei provides a strong shield and she has the added benefit of being able to hold ttds, etc
You only need 2 enemies once you get her cons. It is also nice for the pyro app to break past shields. But the recharge is about 3s longer than it really should be, and sadly, she doesn't provide much beyond that. Really, she'd be an okay four star if Hoyoverse just provided her with a craftable four star equivalent to the Redhorn... something accessible to give her the def scaling she should have had in her base kit. Because she's an actual complete character (although still a DPS four star) with the Redhorn, the weapon essentially fixing her (though not entirely, as it doesn't help her burst).
sob... why are you kids not even capable to listen to a person talk? the point of this video is not "these characters are shit" But "any other character of that element is stronger" Which is 100% correct.
As a genuine Aloy and Traveler all elements main and triple crowner(yeah it was a painfully long process to triple crown each element) i wholeheartedly agree that hydro trav is trash. -Anemo Trav is rlly bad but can at least CC to some degree. -Geo Trav is horrendous because of how the constructs collision works and how 90% of the time they either block you somewhere with the invisible collision OR you climb on them but no1 can disagree the Geo Trav dmg is respectable. -Electro Trav has piss poor dmg but is a rlly decent energy support for energy hungry character if you know how to use them. -Dendro Trav. . . . . . need i say more? Come on DMC was the top dendro unit for quite a while until Nahida came out then Alkeqing and so on,for a couple of patches DMC was top tier dendro above all others and i can safely assure everyone as a Trav main who spend alot of time on each element Dendro is your best pick for the Trav to switch to and never change. -Hydro Trav, godawful dmg,HP cost for the aforementioned dmg, lack of range and mobility while shooting and a more useless burst than the most useless thing related to Genshin ever created and that is the surveys that the devs always ignore anyway XD. Seriously tho the burst might aswel not exist,if anything the burst should just never be used, you never deal dmg with it and even if the whole universe aligns and you get 1 or 2 ticks of dmg out of it it's about 30% of what Xinqiu does when you tap his skill on an enemy Still love Aloy and all Trav elements and i will triple crown the other 2 remaining elements too, they all are useable in open world which i do mostly cuz Abyss because boring and bad so after you clear all floor for a while it becomes like a daily chore but once every 2 weeks instead of a challenging thing so i found myself not doing it anymore for the past 2 months or so but for the casual content all characters including all the ones in this video are useable.
The constructs of Geo traveler are great if you play with it in mind. They are the best pair with Zhongli because their burst ignores the 3 construct limit, giving you better AOE on the pulses, more hits and ensures better tenacity set uptime without kiting, it gives 10% crit rate and generates a lot of geo particles aswell as decent damage. My team is Zhongli, Geo traveler, Furina and C6 Noelle with hunter set My traveler has the Noblesse set + Favonias sword for extra buffing and energy generation. My Zhongli has Homa and Tenacity set so the pulses do massive damage and buffs the team. Furina is self explanitory. Noelee with the hunters set + travelers burst has a garunteed crit rate of 46% which makes building as much crit damage as possible extremely good while also batterying her so she doesn't need any ER at all. Now all I have is Whitebind for her as F2P but if you had seprents spine or Ittos weapon it would be even more insane. The constructs don't phase Noelle thanks to her Spin to win playstyle and insane range, no matter what you will be hitting someone while spinning
i also am aloy and traveler main with triple crowning (because I only crown who i think are worthy of becoming more powerful than all teyvat people and aloy - lets be honest- would be a mroe capable traveler lore wise- but i disagree with what you say. I think anemo traveler is the best because of not only the high dmg (30k each skill) , aoe and super short skill cooldown but also self heal, electro traveler is a BEAST while building physical traveler with 4 piece bloodstained and aquila. Geo traveler is amazing IF they would have had auto aim with the comets since they also do 30k or more dmg each few seconds but again, this aiming and often missing is just annoying. dendro is only good if you play with reactions and hydro is ok if you have a shielder. the issue they do with traveler is that the CD of the skills are too long.
I am surprised Dehya isn't here. Maybe because the list only goes to five instead of six. I love Dehya. She looks awesome and beautiful, her personality is cool, her (in lore) fighting style is brutal. She has so much going on. But then when it comes to gameplay, she falls apart. I don't play as much as I used to, so if Dehya went from a literal 0/10 to a 5/10, I'd still say that's a success. Unless I missed some kind of Salvation Update, Dehya's kit is...an atrocity. It's so much worse than just simply being bad. Being bad can be serviceable because at least something, even if niche, comes out of it, like some of the characters on this list. Or even just character preference. I main Keqing because I love her lore and how she plays. She is so fun to play and is my favorite Electro character to play as despite having Raiden Ei. Even if there are better opinions, Keqing is still serviceable. Dehya... Dehya's kit feels like it was kit-bashed together to the point that it goes against itself. The truth really breaks my heart considering it is one of the few times I allowed myself to get hyped. I was looking forward to her ever since she was revealed. We didn't even know her weapon back then (or her name and Vision if I remember right), so it was a long time coming. They deliberately sabotaged her. I still hold onto my crackpot theory that Hoyo used Dehya as an experiment. "Will players spend money on a character that is functionally unplayable so long as said character is smexy?" You tell me.
@@lolidemon3163Exactly. Even if Qiqi is "the worst 5* in the game", she is still serviceable. If you have no healer at all (I forgot about Barbara for a sec 🙄) and just started playing, she's great. Especially if you don't like Barbara or potentially freezing yourself at the worst possible time. I don't play for meta, I play for fun. So if I am using a majority ranged team, I would use Barbara. If I am using a majority melee team, I'd rather use a different Healer, even Qiqi, especially if I'm fighting ice enemies, just to lower the odds of being frozen, but that is just me. I don't enjoy seeing a Keqing-sicle. Sure, people may drop her for Kokomi or Barbara, but Qiqi is still serviceable. Even if I'm wrong about my playstyle, my point remains. Qiqi still has a job and can do that job well. Dehya...just... 😔
The saddest part about Dehya's kit is it _easily_ could have worked together with a few tweaks. Here's how: lower her Skill's CD to 6s and lengthen its duration to 18s, while increasing the frequency of her joint attacks from 2.5s to 1s (or even 1.5s). Next, make it so her damage mitigation is 100% (like a shield) and her interrupt resist is at shield levels and lasts for as long as you're in her field. After that, make it so her Redmane's Blood scales with talent level, from 200% of her Max HP to about 400%. Then make it so her joint attacks gain a DMG bonus equal to a percentage of her current Redmane's Blood. When using her burst with the field active, she absorbs it and her Redmane's Blood and gets a _much_ larger percentage. Then you make her burst a stance swap like Ayato (so it isn't canceled by dashing), with her punches increasing in speed the more you hold the attack button and with an 8s duration. That's really all you've gotta do to dramatically improve Dehya, just some backend number fixes. The fact that they not only _didn't_ do that, but that their response to beta testers pointing out her flaws, was to _nerf her_, means it's really not a crackpot theory to say they deliberately sabotaged her.
Been a Ningguang main since release. Expected to see her here ngl. I find her fun and that's all that matters. All hail Geo, the best element in the game
I still use Amber, I like taunts and at C4+ she has my favorite taunt. I use her far more than my C2 Hu Tao even, because taunt is utility/support while Hu Tao offers only damage.
Amber is a support unit, she can replace bennett in some teams using elegy (her burst activate it almost in an instant) and instructor. Because her burst infusion is so fast it will let you swirl pyro even when furina's pets are attacking. Her buffs doesn't suffer from limited area, but the real obstacle is the difficulty to get her c6 (she is still good even without that). And if you think baron bunny is weak you just played wrong. Bunny can be infused with cryo which means you can double swirl against single target, or even swirl cryo against Thunder Manifestation, Tulpa or others (a bit technical). To be practical main attacker in abyss she needs c4 though, while most attackers c1, navia c0. She is still the fastest cryo shield breaker in the game. Definitely easier to use compared to Xinyan. If you think characters are weak and shouldn't be played, you just want to play "easier difficulty". Playing difficult to use characters is playing on a higher difficulty, which gamers actually prefer. That's why when someone full star abyss with Amber solo on one side, everyone was amused.
Ningguang is a great support character, since in addition to having the Geo boost, she generates tons of Geo particles, can equip either Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers or Prototype Amber, and her extremely cheap Burst means that she can spam the Noblesse's or Exile's 4 piece set buffs on cooldown, assuming that you don't stick an Archaic Petra on her and buff your other party members' elemental damage by 40%.
no offense but first she can be decent support not great by doing the following you have mention and secondly all catalyst characters can be a healer or ttds😂. Thirdly her burst losses half of her dmg if the construct gets destroyed and her geo particles and geo boost only work in geo teams where gorou can easily beat, the only team she is good are navia team where is just good but if you have zongli or furina ,she is just a bench character and b.t.w the supportive capability you have mentioned , she can onlydo one at a time her cheap cost burst wouldn't deal dmg if you give her ttds or amber.
@@soumitroy3437 She's the only Geo catalyst, so she's the only character who can proc Geo Resonance as well as use TTDS or Prototype Amber and Prototype Archaic at the same time, which is important with the new Navia (who scales off attack and so gets way less from Gorou than she does from TTDS) and Noelle teams. And if you have her using either of those you are using her as a support rather than a main DPS, so you don't care too much for the damage of her Burst, only that you are proccing it as often as you can if you have her on Prototype Amber, Noblesse Oblige, and/or Exile's End sets. If you want her as a main DPS (which is not what my post is talking about) Nighttime Whispers just came out and is her Best in Slot (though Archaic Petra isn't bad, especially if you are running her with an Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro off-field DPS to make up for her loss in personal damage), and weapons like Oathsworn Eye let's you easily spam her Burst on cooldown *without* reducing it's damage, and in that case you will be going Skill -> dash through Jade Screen -> Burst -> Charge Attack, so it's really unlikely that you won't have her Jade Screen available for that.
@@simonditomasso9868 Again, I'm talking about her being a *support,* so her damage is meaningless. And Petra is super easy for her, since all she needs to do is hit any enemy who has a Crystalizable Element applied to them with literally *anything* in her kit, grab a crystal, and voila: +40% damage to your primary off-field DPS(es) while she has swapped out to avoid getting any other crystal by accident.
Amber and Xinyan used to be my only pyro characters, and their application wasn’t enough for me to beat the Dragonspine quest (I was new to the game so I needed break and ice shield of a Lawachurl), so I went to the Spiral Abyss just to build Xiangling.
I always feel like saying “Might as well use X character” is a mute point in Genshin. What makes a “bad” unit in Genshin is really just how difficult they are to set up and use
There used to be a Niche for Amber in a Hutao team to set up Pyro swirls. Her ult pyro app was strong enough to remove Xingqiu’s hydro app and allow a VV user to swirl pyro then hydro with Xingqiu reapplying hydro afterwards. Team was Hu Tao, Xingqiu, Sucrose, Amber, but this was before double hydro was available.
Tbh i never understood why people hate on Ninnguang . I use her as burst sub dps, since tbh her burst locks on way more compared to others. And I love Qiqi but i kind of agree with what Vars said, and sadly i think Debuffing might be what the cryo archon does.😭 i Hope we get a Qiqi signature weapon, in her Story quest thing. Cuz i use Amenoma on her 😅
Most five stars are DPS, while Ning requires investment to realize her potential, including getting her cons. So people write her off before they ever really give her a chance. Also geo's lack of cool reactions hinders her. Ning is one of the stronger DPS four stars as far as direct damage goes, and brutal in the open world, but hampered by geo lacking useful synergy with other elements.
i never understood why people can't understand videos.. where and when was ning guang hated in this video? She's one of my fav units and use her often, and he is correct 100% i see no hate in his words really. He never said she is bad, but "worse" than other geo dps, which is true on the same investment.
I think a better concept for this kind of video would be the worst (limited) 5 stars since it's really expected that a lot of 4 stars and version 1 standard units would be considerably weaker alternatives to most 5 star options by version 4
Yeah, it'd definitely be interesting to see, especially since the limited options would be better overall. That being said, I'm also worried it'd just kinda turn into "They just don't do as much damage as other options", "They're super reliant on certain characters to work better", or "They're Geo" : the video.
i am, and i still agree with him. I was testing with a friend , and with his furina, my ning guang was able to hit for like 160k wall and 53k x bullet with her burst. Problem is, sure she CAN do load of damage, but with the same investments other geo DPS do more and more reliable damage. He is not saying the character is bad, he is saying they are the worst of their element, which is sadly true.
Ningguang was my first Main DPS and is one of my favorites. But yes, I do agree with what you said. I just wished they would release a 5 star variant of fix some things but as things stand, I dont think that's possible or even a good idea in the grand scheme of things in genshin. I still play her from time to time for the memories and the fun
An issue with this video is that you don't look at it enough from a F2P perspective. Like, saying Amber is obsolete because Yoimiya and Lynie exist. But they're both limited units so people are more likely not to have them. Barbara is the only healer players are guaranteed to have, so Qiqi can be a much needed 2nd healer. When I first got Hydro Traveler their kit seemed to me designed for the various Fontaine field puzzles (pea shooter to fill up the containers and such). But I keep them as geo anyways since extra footholds are much more useful in general. Surprised Dehya isn't on the list. But maxing her HP to make her immortal is all kinds of useful. She won't die on Dragonspine, and I have a feeling Natlan will have high heat areas she will similarly trivialize.
@Xochi_Mictlan69 Maybe to an extent but food is limited by stock and fullness, while other healers are tied to cooldowns and energy requirements. Dehya can literally just stand there in Dragonspine and you don't have to do anything.
man, he is completely correct, even if you take only F2p tho.. how is amber stronger, that ANY 4 star pyro DPS ? Xiangling is a sub and does more, gaming does more, bennet build dps which he is not , does more.
Nothing, it's a meme to shit on Eula mains ever since KQM got caught lying and never apologized about trashtalking and gaslighting a CN theorycrafter that found a bug on her elemental stacks. So people just think it's fun but some TC's stopped talking about her because they at least are capable of feeling shame to a degree.
Just my thoughts using these characters. I want to build Amber as I have her C6, but her skill is much better if you leave it unleveled and I sadly leveled mine early into game. (Mihoyo, please let me unlevel it!) Yeah, Hydro MC is a lost cause. I honestly believe they were made so that no other character would ever have to be called the worse unit in the game. I’ve enjoyed using Qiqi ever since clam set came out. I think that set will always be relevant to her given the damage ignores 100% of enemy defense on an AoE off-field attack. I really enjoy using Xinyan with roll-DPS Sayu. While the shield is important for the interruption resistance, Xinyan temporarily applies Pyro to the whole team giving Sayu a 100% chance to swirl into Pyro, if both skills are used immediately after the other, which can let you dedicate a team around Pyro swirl interactions. I haven’t built Ningguang as I somehow don’t have her C6. I would imagine her Geo auto-attacks would at least make her one of the best candidates for Archaic Petra and being a TTDS user is her best path as a support character which is rather sad.
I'm confused... Could you elaborate on why Amber's skill is better unleveled? Doesn't leveling it up just straight up equal more DPS, regardless of how negligible it may be in the grand scheme of things? How could more DPS be a bad thing in a game where the most challenging content is essentially just a DPS check? Or is this just about regretting the fact that you've used resources on leveling Amber's skill when those could've gone into more impactful upgrades instead..?
Wait how is Amber's skill better un-leveled? I thought her main utility we the roll/buff consolidation in Hu Tao VV vape teams (she enables the pyro swirl, quickly procs Elegy and Instructor, gives Pyro res, and the C6 attack buff). Do talent levels mess it up? Also from my understanding Ningguang right now fits best as a quick-swap hybrid support/frontloaded damage character in Navia teams (where she helps with crystalize, geo res, energy, and then can do reasonable quick damage because she uses the same supports that are already on the team (or can do TTDS)). I think you basically just skill burst and maybe a CA and then switch off for that use. Regardless, it is a role that she fills relatively well.
@@arianagranday7409 Increasing Amber's skill increases how much HP Baron Bunny has. Baron Bunny has a small explosion radius and can only generate energy particles when it hits enemies. You ideally want Baron Bunny to explode when enemies are leaning in to attack it, but if Baron Bunny is too tanky there's a greater chance it will whiff resulting in no energy particles or take longer to explode which can really screw up rotations. The particles matter more for your whole team than the slight damage increase. Yes, you can manually blow them up with the right constellation, but spending additional time on Amber is a DPS-loss especially if she gets interrupted while charging.
@@Rainbow_Star_Blossom was meaning to reply to calliope about having 1 free geo unit at launch, I agree that Ningguang should've been a 5 star similar to the other de facto leaders of Teyvat (Jean, Alhaitham, Yae)
I’m surprised you haven’t made a why no one plays Ningguang at this point. As someone who has played Ningguang since 2020 and has her c6/triple crowned, I can say that you only covered the surface of her gameplay issues. (It’s a short compilation video though, so I don’t expect you to.) The first problem with Ningguang is that she has clunky normal attack animations that make her feel slow. Given that normal attacks help to boost her charged attack damage and thus her overall damage, it just doesn’t help her case. You can animation cancel her normals, but not many players will enjoy having to take those extra steps. Her second issue is like what you said about how she’s a 4 star main DPS, but not just that… She’s a SINGLE-TARGET main DPS! In most combat scenarios, you’re dealing with groups of enemies so she just can’t deal meaningful damage to multiple enemies at once. Her elemental burst fires off 6 gems and another 6 if her Jade Screen is active and often times they will target random enemies if there’s a group, spreading out her potential maximum damage that she would otherwise deal to a single enemy. This isn’t to say that she can’t hit hard, but she can only reach her maximum potential against single enemies, ideally bosses. Another annoying issue with her is that 1-2 gems from her burst are guaranteed to miss the enemy and hit the ground, so even against a single enemy, she actually isn’t dealing her theoretical max damage. The team that she functions best in is with another Geo character (ideally Zhongli, but he’s often in demand for other better teams) and two pyro characters for the resonance because she has a low base attack for whatever reason. Players have to build around her and she isn’t even the best at what she does. As much as I enjoy her gameplay, characterization, and design, she just has so much going against her and it’s tragic because she is such an important character in Liyue.
Disagree on Ningguang. She is the 2nd best 4 star main DPS unit behind gaming. Her hyper carry team dish out around 75k damage per sec on average in abyss (for example, this round of abyss floor 12 chamber 1, enemies has a total HP pool of 3.5mil and I clear in the range of 40-50sec, that's 70k-87k dps). She'll obviously be behind most 5 star main DPS's teams but she's definitely not the worst among 4 star main DPS.
Not really? Some 4 star dps units that beat her is Yanfei, C6 Noelle, Gaming, Kaveh, Heizou and Beidou. All of these units in their teams outdo ningyuans damage, while they lack her raw damage number on paper their effective DPS outdoes hers thanks to reactions which she can not use.
@@FallenPhoenix-ml5mn No? She has higher DPS than Yanfei, kaveh and heizou. Beidou is off field, not a main dps. and C6 noelle only out dps ning in floors with many enemies. Otherwise, C6 Ning will always out dps C6 Noelle
@@DG-mk2nr That wasn't even the point. My point is that Ning can't be worst when there are other 4 star main dps that does less damage than her. Not to mention Navia's release unlocked her quick swap option. And I clear abyss within 40-50 sec with Ning hypercarry team so it's not like I'm struggling.
@@drkInxgud Wrong. A vape and Melt Yanfei out dps Ningyuan by miles. Kaveh in a proper blooom and fridge team Out dps her if you count the bloom damage he sets off. C6 Noelle with Gorou always out damages her becase she cant use gouou to even half his effect. Heizou with C6 Faruzan >>>> Ningyuan. Thats the point, the others have access to the broken elemental supports like Gorou and Faruzam and Yanfei has acces to the strongest reaction in both melt and vaporize. Ningyuan does not get that because she scales off Atk exclusively so Gorou the main Geo Support does almost nothing for her while Noelle, Itto and Albedo benefit from him. She can't get added benefits from bloom damage like Kaveh, can't benefit from vape or melt which almost doubles damage and can't bemefit from the elemental buffers that add crit damage, shred res and buffs the elemental damage. Genshin is a game build off teamwork and reactions, Geo is the worst with reactions and needs higher damage numbers to compensate but because of her atk scaling she cant use the geo buffer like Heizou and Noelle can
Got early pity for Xiao and got excited a week ago ish. Then Qiqi appeared on my screen instead. I've been coping ever since- I do, thankfully, have a team that suits her okay. I've been running a Gaming melt team, alongside Benny, Chongyun, and Diona. Qiqi replaced Diona. With Chongyun around, she seems to get her burst back quickly enough, and she keeps Gaming alive when Benny's ult isn't up so I'm pretty happy. I lost out on a shield but tbh I don't find myself needing it much anyways. It's a fun team to run with and I'm not constantly dead so I'm pretty happy. They're just an overworld team for now since none of them are over level 70 and absolutely will get crushed in abyss or in a boss fight, I have hyperbloom and electro-charged for that lol, we'll see how they hold up at higher levels with tougher fights
Yeah. Which is instesting until you look at the other options. When Dehya does no Damage, at least she's a "Mid Pryo Applucator". The others in this video are just un unusable unless you wanna main them.
i still have only ever found 1 use for ambers burst pyro application, its good enough to let chongyuns burst melt all his hits. i do wish they would give small buffs(sometimes large like what hydro trav needs) to certain chars when they are just that far behind
Amber is still bad and I agree, but I will say that I found out once you get c2, you can detonate her bunnies through overload. Of course you first have to apply electro and then swap to her and use her charged attack on the enemy, but it’s nice to know there’s a way to detonate her bunny without specifically shooting at its foot.
Funnily enough, her main relevant use now (outside of playing her for fun) is for buffing and enabling high investment/optimization Hu Tao VV-vape speed running team stuff (she enables the pyro swirl, quickly procs Elegy and Instructor, gives Pyro res, and the C6 attack buff).
@@Cajun_SeasoningNo, as her main team uses are in vape teams. Amber just doesn't add much in the types of teams that Cheveruse works in. That said, she could probably help for some Ambe showcases using non-physical Amber against enemies you can't swirl pyro on.
I actually Main Ningguang for awhile, I invest few months of resin to her. But when my Heizou, whose half build artifact, lv70, c3 is output Ningguang dmg, at that point I like “ok… this is not working out well for her”
Putting aside that that might just be a roll of the dice based on Artifact Stats and weapon drops, hear me out: Viridescent Venerer Heizou and Archaic Petra Ningguang with either Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers or Prototype Amber, and the other two party members are off field DPSes of the same Swirlable/Crystalizable Element (ie: Yelan/Furina or Beidou/Fischl).
Yeah I know. But this happend when I just started play the game, back then I don’t have many characters, so I use just what I got. So by now I just use 5 star character and the only 4* dps I use is Noelle cuz I play her with Furina. I don’t like to invest on Ningguang, high investment with little outcome And also my geo unit luck is horrible, somehow after 2y I only got Ning at c1, Gorou c2, yunjin c0 and lose 50/50 to Zhongli (like every character need to build up her team comp), If I got gorou and ningguang up c6 I would build her but for now nah…
Since it's Vars, Dehya is likely going to be in this. *Doesn't include Dehya* A suprise to be sure, but a welcome one! They still did Pyro Claymore version of Raiden so dirty. Some people even try to cope by calling her a "tank". Instead of embracing that Chevreuse and Furina were in-direct buffs to her. Especially C6 Chevreuse for Carry Dehya.
... she is a tank tho. The role itself is literraly specified by TANKING the damage... thats like the main point of the kit. This isnt cope its just a fact. The role might not have the biggest use in genshin especially if you use Zhongli who technically is meant to be a tank but he has a shield so he just swaps after it. Either way Dehya by definition is a tank, its to take hits and to protect the rest of the team.
@@NorthWolf97 So did you return it? Jokes aside, she IS a tank. Or if you want to split hairs, a DPS with tanking capabilities. But for me the main issue with her kit being practically schizophrenic: off-field pyro application but burst DPS on ult. Scales off atk and hp etc. All of which makes her a jack of all trades and master of none, and a pretty poor jack at that as well. That's death in terms of meta ranking simply because we can't afford that mediocrity with only 4 slots to play with. Still annoyed at how hoyo did her dirty, one of my favourite Sumeru characters
@@ObviOneKenobi you called the problem yourself that genshin team clearly fckd her up so bad. dehya tanky role has no use in genshin at all. if you build her for pure tank purpose she wont have any damage. like why do you even keep sticking with her low dmg on field just to waste your time and effort? people themselves coping by building her as a pyro off field dps and straight up ignoring her defensive capabilities. zhongli is granted as godlike, but braindead. a single button to give your enemies some damage with pure defensive build(full hp) plus a petrification for a breather. a single button to provide you a protection that could lasted more than its cd, with an extra shredding to your enemies def. dehya as a new character literally outclassed by old unit like zhongli in terms of defensive unit, thus people were driven so mad by genshin team hillarities messed up one of the most anticipated character in sumeru patch.
@@Hsusie I'm sorry, but Tank role doesn't exist in Genshin. Zhongli is a support with his shield. Dehya's kit is made like Raiden's. To either be an on-field hyper carry or a sub-dps support. You and the other guy only prove my point. That the role of "tank" is made up by people who try to cope with Dehya's undertuned kit Tanks do not exist in Genshin as they have no purpose. Supports already heal or shield on-fielders. Wouldn't Noelle be a better argument than Zhongli as a comparison? Since she's also able to be a on-field claymore user with a bult in shield. But no, tanks do not exists in Genshin and Dehya isn't one. If you want, you could join a co-op and play a support/sub-dps to reduce the damage others take. Good luck taunting the boss to attack you though.
I liked Amber in the beginning. She helped a lot with distraction while I figured out how to do movement, normal attacks, combos and kinda needing a slight breather. Even taught me a bit about monster weaknesses and getting opponents from far away. Keeping in mind she was my only Bow character for so long as i didn't get better at elemental reactions until much later and finally attempted the abyss. Eventually I got Xiangling. Now she and Lisa, completely changed my fighting style. Even more so when I purchased Bennet. Amber became irrelevant. And to think I wanted to also get Deluc after his trial, but now its more like 'if he appears, that cool. If not, then I will be fine too.' I'll still try out Qiqi if she comes to me and that guitar girl. Even if i don't become a fan of them, I do like seeing and trying my own fighting style. Some people dont even like Lisa and she is my main DPS. Mostly because of how quickly her Electro attacks comes, I rarely even need to use charged attacks.
You made a brave video and that's why i don't really want to disagree too much but I have to, the ningguang take is just objectively wrong She's more of a burst dps than an on fielder due to her normal attacks being too weak. You just swap in, skill, burst, charged attack and swap out. This means that she fits into the window between navia's skills and has a purpose these, she can output more than decent DPS in that short window and navia, Bennet and XL will carry the rest of the rotation. She is not as bad as the others on and off the list. She also sees use against the wolf lord which isn't due to her being good or anything but that's more than you can say for someone like kaveh And I'm sorry but kaveh is actually just the worst. He steals your hyperblooms if you try to cope and play him there, you'd literally be better going three characters and dropping him. His C6 is supposed to make him functional as a bloomer but his C6 HAS A COOL DOWN? Why??? His blooms aren't strong enough to warrant a cold down! He is actually the worst cuz he has bad numbers AND his kit doesn't even function internally which is worse than even freminet cuz his kit works, it just needs bigger numbers
My top 5 no particular order: 1- Amber 2- Xinyan 3- Dori 4- Hydro MC 5- Aloy Edit after watching the video: I would not put Ninnguang or Qiqi there, they are not good but there are way worse units out there. And since Aloy is no longer obtainable, I was thinking of maybe Candace or Kaveh to replace her, but then I remember Freminet exists.
Agreed, those two slots should go to Dehya, Dori, Candace or Kaveh. Qiqi is pretty decent and while she won't help clearing abyss faster, a reliable healer that can carry you through 98% of the game content without ever dying is far from the worst in the game.
I think ning is great for early game like you said, maybe one of the best even with her projectile blocking and even decent overworld exploration since she can crack ores. But yeah being a geo 4 star even if you build her with great artifacts she just cant compete late game. She was my first main dps so i still brought her to the top with me haha.
omg the projectile blocking in overworld, I remember using Ning's barrier to shield my Amber from Hilichurl arrows while I shot charged shots at them ^^ If you have or ever get Lost Prayer, it's a nice buff to Ning for solo Abyss runs, and can be quite fun for Floors 9 and 10, sometimes 11, and rarely 12 :)
the saddest thing about hydro traveller in my opinion is not the terrible damage it's the fact that they feel awful to use, so I can't even use them for overworld exploration. I have tried so hard to get used to playing them but I can't, I had to switch back to dendro
the only people caring about how good a character is in relativity are meta slaves really. It's normal for gacha games to have older units be word the newer units. It's called power creep.🤷
One neat thing about amber is she actually allows for you to comfortably swirl pyro as kazuha while still having a hydro infusion in a hutao team. (Hu Tao/Xingque/Amber/Kazuha) she does this particularly well compared to almost every unit because her burst can apply enough pyro in one moment for kazuha to swirl it in a hydro infused ult and then not applying pyro afterwards like other units(so she doesn't steal vapes) her burst is also only 40 energy so it can be used every rotation and it gives pyro resonance, she batteries for Hu Tao and lowers her ER requirements, and she can hold a lot of artifact sets like instructor or noblesse(so xq can use ESF) Because of this one extremely specific niche I would argue she's better than Qiqi or even the others on this list 😭
Honestly, the great thing about Genshin is none of this matters to the average player. You could have a team consisting of all these characters and still breeze through the game relatively easily. Unlike Star Rail, where the power creep is ridiculous and even my original team that would one-shot everything before 2.0 is struggling hard in Penacony.
I will never fathom how Hydro traveler was fully produced and put on live servers. Really sad to see we basically didn't get a hydro traveler variant with Fontaine. They're so unbelievably terrible, its hard to even acknowledge their existence. I really hope Pyro traveler is usable.
im REALLY waiting for pyro ahhaha, if its crap and we ALSO had to wait 3 month before getting him compared to other elements, its gonna be so hilariously sad. Not that i expect anything from this shitty company tho.
Hoyo definitely hates her... releasing Yoimiya on her birthday, then releasing Lyney 2 years later, and they rarely ever include her in events, even if it's a Mondstadt event. They didn't even make a proper reunion with her and Collei...
Actually, Amber got her biggest buff in a very long time just a couple patches ago. The Song of Days Past artifact set essentially lets healers give additive DMG to the on-field character, which is great with Amber because a manually detonated Baron Bunny gets +200% DMG Bonus, and the additive DMG from SoDP gets that bonus as well. In general I'm surprised I don't see more people here mentioning Baron Bunny Melt Amber; I recognize that it requires Amber constellations which are hard to get, but its damage output is not as far behind other teams as people tend to think
I will say that: Ninguang helped me tremendously when the big Geo Rift Hound was in level 12-2 in the abyss because no one else at the time was quicker and more reliable to hit the weak points. Qiqi carried me through version 4.2's abyss, allowing me to freeze these hyper-mobile group enemies while also making me immune to dying thanks to her incredibile healing. Playing since 1.1 to this day I haven't found any use for Amber or Xinyan except through copious amounts of... copium. And wtf in the name of all that is holy, what the actual f is hydro traveler? It's comical how bad he is, nobody I think could've imagined what an actual 1 star unit would look like in the game, let alone it being the supposed main character in the strongest element variety, my goodness. The dull blade deals more damage than the water gun finger gun, what a joke that is! And that after the traveler was finally put on a pedastal with the dendro variety.
In defense of Ningguang, she was originally a 5-star during the closed beta, and MiHoYo chose to downgrade to 4-star and leave her kit as it was for the people who enjoyed it instead of an entire rework to feel like a character worthy of being a 5-star at launch, chad gamedev move. Additionally, based on the trailer formatting from beta through 1.2, its fair to assume that the reverse is true for Keqing, originally intended as a 4-star but ended up being strong for the slot.
Hey, uhh, I just did research on the cutting room floor and watched gameplay videos of CBT 1 and 2, I haven't found anything about Ningguang being a five star, where is this information from?
It kills me that without Lyney and Yoi (I'm sure I butchered those abbreviations.) I still occasionally have to pull Amber out to solve stupid ranged torch puzzles after 3 years of playing. Its not enough to make me want to pull for them but funny how the game just assumes you'll have the ability to solve them because of the free character...
I still think MC having good kits isn’t enough for that special character. To fit with their lore and keep them unique, they should be able to switch between elements mid-fight. I’m thinking something similar to the gadget quickswap they added but maybe a wheel for faster switching to keep up with battle.
I’ll make a case real quick that Quiqi does have a place in the current meta with Chaska. If you dont want to circle impact and play Chaska how she is made to be played by shooting from far away the target, you can Furina with Qiqi on songs of day past to both stack fanfare quickly and 8% damage bonus at base with just Qiqi’s Elemental skill. If you have Sacrificial Sword at R5 (which most people have if been playing longer than a year or two) its 80% reset on skill and she should be able to reliably keep constant buff besides Furina’s drain. Both Qiqi and Furina should’t be touched in any meaningful way and that opens up a Sub DPS slot of any kind for whatever effect is warranted or needed for specific reactions or combinations in a rainbow team that Chaska needs since she buffs herself by the virtue of having different elements on her team and benefits more of off fielders. She definitely benefits from characters that trigger attacks independently from her own input of attacks or even slow triggering like Deyha for extra reactions. Ororon, Fishl, furina herself or any other character of that kind. I think that this is the most consistent way to keep Chaska buffed at all times as Bennett circle impact is too risky and can often lead to DPS loss and Benny and Furina buff depends on taking damage and healing afterwards to make both buffs working consistently. There. A case for Qiqi’s return.
uses for each character: Ningguang: can be a worthwhile early to mid game(before ar 40 or so) hypercarry for players with a limited resources and characters, since she works by herself. Also can be used as a geo battery and a quickswap Q nuker. qiqi:same as above but using superconduct, and she carries even harder with her healing. Amber: lights torches and is bow, good for exploration role compression. xinyan: no clue. Hydro mc: He has an instance of arkhe damage I guess. Kinda worthless though.
Ahh Ningguang…. I use her in an itto team but it hurts that I can never use her c6 in that team, it just takes too much time. She always makes me feel like I wish I had albedo (or maybe chiori going forward)
I just can't play WITHOUT using C6 Xinyan (DPS) AND C4 Dehya (Support) with C2 Yae Miko (2nd DPS) in the same team. Another team I play is C6 Dendro Traveler, C2 Baizhu, C6 Xinyan and Aloy, and it works pretty good! The very last times I played with starter characters as C5 Amber, C6 Lisa, C6 Anemo Traveler and C6 Barbara was cool. I mainly play Ningguang when I need to farm the Geo Wolf boss from Inazuma Island Tsurumi; Ningguang is highly required to counter this boss' attacks and break its Geo shield. In other hand, Ningguang is "useless" against the Geo Cube boss, whereas C6 Noëlle is still my most preferred. To my mind, no character can't be considered as "worst" or "best", only the way the player plays them might be evaluated.
Good arguments are the best defense and you backed up all of your picks with plenty. It does pain me to see Ningguang first out the gates too but I needed this tough love. I can’t argue with your reasoning.
It feels so satisfying to se my boy Razor never appear on these lists now that he's been given his own niche as the only character who can deal four elemental damage types with a single attack. Electro from his ult, Pyro from Bennett C6, Dendro from Nahida/Dendro Traveller, and Hydro from Xingqiu. All that damage at once means you're triggering more reactions than any other build in the game, while also having a pretty decent main DPS with Razor if you ever find yourself in a situation where you messed up your rotations or got stunlocked while doing them. Who would have guessed that the OG Physical DPS would be the best when doing everything EXCEPT physical damage.
I once saw a solo ningguang solo 3 star every floor on her side of the abyss lol Call me ninguang cope but c6 has alot going for her , shield has elemental shred of nearby enemies, buffs geo who go thru it , and buffa her ult. Honestly it should be a half circle or hexagon shape and should be able to reset it to right in front of you infinite times , and you should have more control over its placement like maybe holding it you could move it to where you want to place it. Besides that the rest is just geo , which needs some new reactions and geo crystals should auto float towards u
I have two solo Ning Floor 12 runs on my channel! :) Love your idea of being able to hold her skill to place it more carefully, kinda like Geo Traveler?
let's not forget xinyan's element going against the only reaction that benefits physical dmg
I wouldn't blame fully on her element. I think it's the way they designed her.
Her burst mostly fine but her skill is what really killed make it hard for PHY characters. Its pyro application is way too situational but it also disrupts with Superconduct reaction.
her being pyro prevents a lot superconduct reactions being triggered, something that benefits a lot in amplifying the physical dmg, even if u try putting really good electro and cryo applicator in one team.
ngl i’m starting to think they’re purposely giving darkskin characters shit kits
But overall, his playstyle is tricky and bring inconveniences to many people
Dehya is still dogshit even with fontaine's addition.
Candace is mid because there are many other supports that are better than her unless you want to play a hydro infused dps from candance such as hydro keqing and budget c6 furina
Xinyan is a total dogshit due to her irrelevance of her being a pyro physical user, pyro doesn't provide anything for physical and instead ruin it. Superconduct and shatter reactions, these that benefit physical dmg, is ruined by pyro and her pyro application. Unless xinyan is played as a pyro dps with the support of c6 bennett but her dmg output is still mid anyway

Geo should have different reactions, most of them provide a shield, hydro and geo could slow a target, with anemo could create the same effect as the mud attack from the treasure hoarders, it blinds the opponents, with dendro it spreads seed so it also gives a way to react to pyro, electro, with pyro it could create magma, and with electro it could give the party a speed boost or reduce the electro damage you take
Hmm, how would blinding work? I'm interested to know.
Reminder that Geo is Rock, Crystal, not Dirt. Its point and concept is that it crystalises, it nullifies, arrests the elements. To have it be dissolved in water, melted by fire, corroded by wind, broken by roots makes it... not strong.
@@plvto1 basically the winds break down Geo to make sand and dust.
@@plvto1Like Tighnari E probably

But mediocre numbers + feelsbad to play make her sadly close to unplayable for me.
yeah their point being " she bad bc she geo and dps" was so dumb
As a qiqi main I’ll never not stop hearing she’s the worst but that’s fine I’ll let my qiqi clear the abyss for me until there’s a room that just doesn’t like her ( idk when that will be ) but I’ll be waiting 😂.
tbh Qiqi still feels like the best coop-healer; u just use your burst and as everyone is hitting the enemy and creates particals, your Qiqi recharges fast enough, can apply another talisman via NA and heals with every hit (sacrificial sword makes her healing uptime 100%)
but the best part about Qiqi is how well her character is designed;
she is a zombie after all
rigor mortis -> slow movements
preservation -> cryo
brain rot -> notebook as open world passive
I understand that her kit can't compare to the top for a long time now, but she still carried my team for the first year of Genshin
Oh fellow Qiqi main, 3xcrowned Qiqi is just best in whole game. no matter what some guys think
I am one of these 10% Hu Tao enjoyers that love the little Zombie Adeptus, I wish I get her mommy Dehya is waiting for you
qiqi can actually be saved by a char just dealing damage based on overheal, and him not being locked at 100%HP, but creating an extra 100%HP bar above his health that is just overheal.

Compared to the other versions:
Anemo MC is your 1st character ever and your main source of reaction dmg so atleast they were made useable so the player learns the basic game mechanics especially skill/burst and swapping though the team to enable reactions
Geo MC was one of the the player's 1st introductions to the geo element especially if they haven't yet used the gacha system (my 1st pull happened in the middle of the 2nd archon quest for example) and not only was they a good sub dps, their skill both helped in exploration and some puzzles in liyue needed a geo construct tobe done and without geo MC, if you didn't pull a zhongli for example you would have been basically locked behind that part of map exploration. (One of the few praises I can give mihoyo is how every puzzle in genshin is f2p friendly/doable)
Electro MC, while an underwhelming step compared to the pervious one, atleast introduces the element's relationship to energy which tbh maybe quite a stretch that a player who reached inazuma didn't get any other electro character other than lisa and therefore did not organically learn about that.
TLDR: because Hydro MC doesn't teach you anything new, they were made as shitty as possible
Edit: A fellow traveller showed me how good electro MC really is in being a battery.

Barbara w her hydro app still clears
Vars you didnt talk about ningguang as a quick swap dps. She is really good with navia. Use ningguang burst and skill swap to navia burst skill and recycle.
Why are you trying to speak facts, we are only here to hear his ASMR entertainment video 😡
This I like Ning with Navia
Agreed, everyone forgets this.
The only issue is that this is one of her only viable teams.
The glaring omission of how much damage she can pump out in a short window, while instead talking like she's an greedy field time hog like Noelle, just shows a basic lack of understanding about the character.
8:10 actually, it’s been theorized that the Traveller’s elemental skill is linked, or a reflection of the dragon sovereign of that particular element instead of the Archons
do you guys watch the video before commenting? XD he said exactly that.
Good thing Genshin is an open world game, so even the worst characters still have a place in the game for those who just want to use them to explore the world, whereas in most other Gachas the worst characters never see the light of day.
Because the game itself is super easy and has no challenging content?
Best thing about other gacha is they got buff and find theit own niche. In genshin they just keep get powercrept both in number and fun gameplay
@@cartoonvideos5 that's how most people cope with trash characters like qiqi, amber, nin, and so on. If mihoyo started to lock in and gave actual challenging content instead of dmg sponges, they would finally admit they are garbage.
@@zeer7676 Very true
@@zeer7676why does it matter if their good or bad if people want to use them let people play them in peace
Xinyan would probably be more viable if she were electro instead of pyro and scaled either off def or atk but not both
5:10 there is a universe where she will be good if they implement stat caps toward the end of the game or diminishing returns which are sometimes rumoured, dual scalers may end up becoming the gods of the game, but I don't think it's worth banking on
if anyone has an aquila favonia sword (or the flute) and just wants to give qiqi some love, i have a super good team that can get through anything.. even the hardest abyss sections.
I use a team that has qiqi (clam set), nahida (deep wood set), yelan (emblem set) and raiden on paradise lost set but she can also use gilded dreams.
basically qiqi is the on-fielder since she heals with her normal attacks. her artifact set benefits a lot from it and you will get that 30k bubble pop every time.
everybody on the team is an off field support, so that gives qiqi the privilege to be the on-fielder for her heals lol.
the reason why i chose these characters to be on her team, is because hyperbloom is a super strong reaction that can make anyone who works with it look good. qiqi's cryo doesn't really interfere with the hyperblooms. another reason why the team is hyperbloom specifically, and not burgeon, is because cryo and electro make super conduct which makes physical dmg stronger. the clam set qiqi uses actually does go above 30k when it pops after super conduct (even though it says it doesn't count as physical dmg).
reasons why i use this team over most other teams is that this team is literally immortal. with qiqi, nobody ever dies.
also there's literally nothing that this team can't kill. name it and it's dead by the qiqi team lmaoo
oh and i forgot to say that you gotta build qiqi with full on atk, with healing bonus as the circlet. and build raiden with full em with dragon's bane because she's the one triggering the hyperblooms. and also build nahida more as a dps rather than just full on em.. bc she only buffs the character on field with her em bonus, and qiqi doesn't need the em... give nahida em sands, dendro goblet, and crit rate circlet bc you should already have crit dmg if you're using the widsith.
I forgot Amber existed. And she's the first playable character you ever meet.
Ima really surprised what you don't put Dehya here cuz everybody says what she's too weak, that's true, but now I have another force to play game more knowing what my main not the worst character ☺

It is indeed danganronpa music so im not just going insane

OMG YOURE RIGHT I DIDNT NOTICE
I use her with Navia and even Lyney
even if that’s true, that doesn’t change the whole sentiment of “why choose her over anyone else”
zhongli provides the biggest shield and res shred, layla is the 2nd strongest shield and has great cryo application and damage, thoma’s shield is very strong if stacked and he’s the best character for burgeon, kirara has amazing dendro application as well as a strong shield and a big ult damage nuke, noelle is pretty relevant as a shielder and dps with furina, baizhu provides teamwide healing/interruption res/reaction buffing/dendro application, even c4 tankfei provides a strong shield and she has the added benefit of being able to hold ttds, etc
Because she's an actual complete character (although still a DPS four star) with the Redhorn, the weapon essentially fixing her (though not entirely, as it doesn't help her burst).
sob... why are you kids not even capable to listen to a person talk?
the point of this video is not "these characters are shit" But "any other character of that element is stronger"
Which is 100% correct.
Seriously tho the burst might aswel not exist,if anything the burst should just never be used, you never deal dmg with it and even if the whole universe aligns and you get 1 or 2 ticks of dmg out of it it's about 30% of what Xinqiu does when you tap his skill on an enemy
Still love Aloy and all Trav elements and i will triple crown the other 2 remaining elements too, they all are useable in open world which i do mostly cuz Abyss because boring and bad so after you clear all floor for a while it becomes like a daily chore but once every 2 weeks instead of a challenging thing so i found myself not doing it anymore for the past 2 months or so but for the casual content all characters including all the ones in this video are useable.
Hell yeah a lore accurate player (Aloy's mentioned to travel alongside the traveler occasionally, even offering to help in a final battle)
Don't forget that Geo Traveler generated a lot of Geo Particles and their Burst also buffs the party's Crit Rate.
My team is Zhongli, Geo traveler, Furina and C6 Noelle with hunter set
My traveler has the Noblesse set + Favonias sword for extra buffing and energy generation.
Ngl, dehya should have replaced qiqi on this list, qiqi at least does something comparatively
You guys love under rating dehya huh... She's literally usable in a neuvillette/lyney team
@@yaemikoshandler is there anyone unusable at that point with em in that team? Neuv himself is a carry not so much dehya
Been a Ningguang main since release. Expected to see her here ngl. I find her fun and that's all that matters. All hail Geo, the best element in the game
"Genshin doesnt really have ways to debuff enemies"
Viridescent Venerer and Anemo MC: "Are we a joke to you?"
he is still right, that's very limited option. Characters who focus on debuffs do not exist.
Ok but by then she’s doing zero dmg, and Petra is clunky af
Cuz i use Amenoma on her 😅
Cluncky Play style, Doesn't do much damage. but she works well with Navia.
The comment section is exactly how Vars predicted to be. Good riddance
“Darn I lost 50/50 on neuvillette
“Don’t worry, we have neuvillette at home”
Neuvillette at home: 7:42
I think a better concept for this kind of video would be the worst (limited) 5 stars since it's really expected that a lot of 4 stars and version 1 standard units would be considerably weaker alternatives to most 5 star options by version 4
Yeah, it'd definitely be interesting to see, especially since the limited options would be better overall. That being said, I'm also worried it'd just kinda turn into "They just don't do as much damage as other options", "They're super reliant on certain characters to work better", or "They're Geo" : the video.
You have no idea what Nninguang is capable of.
i am, and i still agree with him.
Xiangling is a sub and does more, gaming does more, bennet build dps which he is not , does more.
as a ningguang main who's been carried by her, this hurts to admit but its true. she is a hard and limited to buff
12:31 WHAT DID WE DO😭
Nothing, it's a meme to shit on Eula mains ever since KQM got caught lying and never apologized about trashtalking and gaslighting a CN theorycrafter that found a bug on her elemental stacks.
So people just think it's fun but some TC's stopped talking about her because they at least are capable of feeling shame to a degree.
Just my thoughts using these characters.
I want to build Amber as I have her C6, but her skill is much better if you leave it unleveled and I sadly leveled mine early into game. (Mihoyo, please let me unlevel it!)
Yeah, Hydro MC is a lost cause.
I would imagine her Geo auto-attacks would at least make her one of the best candidates for Archaic Petra and being a TTDS user is her best path as a support character which is rather sad.
why is Amber's skill better unleveled???
I'm confused... Could you elaborate on why Amber's skill is better unleveled? Doesn't leveling it up just straight up equal more DPS, regardless of how negligible it may be in the grand scheme of things? How could more DPS be a bad thing in a game where the most challenging content is essentially just a DPS check? Or is this just about regretting the fact that you've used resources on leveling Amber's skill when those could've gone into more impactful upgrades instead..?
What's the problem with leveling Amber's skill ?
Hear me out: Ningguang should have been a 5-star.
there only would’ve been one geo 4 star at launch though that would’ve sucked 😭
Yeah definitely. Make her the Standard Geo 5 star or Something.
@@calliope-greiiwe'd still have geo traveller for free
@@GenshinMobileGaming doesn't really count
@@Rainbow_Star_Blossom was meaning to reply to calliope about having 1 free geo unit at launch, I agree that Ningguang should've been a 5 star similar to the other de facto leaders of Teyvat (Jean, Alhaitham, Yae)
I’m surprised you haven’t made a why no one plays Ningguang at this point. As someone who has played Ningguang since 2020 and has her c6/triple crowned, I can say that you only covered the surface of her gameplay issues. (It’s a short compilation video though, so I don’t expect you to.)
The first problem with Ningguang is that she has clunky normal attack animations that make her feel slow.
As much as I enjoy her gameplay, characterization, and design, she just has so much going against her and it’s tragic because she is such an important character in Liyue.
he didn't because a lot of people play her lol
Disagree on Ningguang. She is the 2nd best 4 star main DPS unit behind gaming. Her hyper carry team dish out around 75k damage per sec on average in abyss (for example, this round of abyss floor 12 chamber 1, enemies has a total HP pool of 3.5mil and I clear in the range of 40-50sec, that's 70k-87k dps). She'll obviously be behind most 5 star main DPS's teams but she's definitely not the worst among 4 star main DPS.
But why would you use a 4 star main dps over better 5 star dps if you going for clear efficiency?
I've been coping ever since-
I do, thankfully, have a team that suits her okay.
Making this whole video without mentioning dehya is amazing lmao
She's so bad he forgot she exists 😂
even dehya has more use cases than the likes of Qiqi
😂@@DarkKnight_god
ngl she could've easily taken ningguang's place in this list.
Yeah. Which is instesting until you look at the other options. When Dehya does no Damage, at least she's a "Mid Pryo Applucator". The others in this video are just un unusable unless you wanna main them.
Would love to see a part 2 of this vid.
I mained Amber for a year, but when I got Lyney, I let her retire 😂
i still have only ever found 1 use for ambers burst pyro application, its good enough to let chongyuns burst melt all his hits. i do wish they would give small buffs(sometimes large like what hydro trav needs) to certain chars when they are just that far behind
I didn't know I could do that, so thanks for pointing that out
yah. i have found some scary amber mains.
Funnily enough, her main relevant use now (outside of playing her for fun) is for buffing and enabling high investment/optimization Hu Tao VV-vape speed running team stuff (she enables the pyro swirl, quickly procs Elegy and Instructor, gives Pyro res, and the C6 attack buff).
so chevreuse was also an amber buff too?
I don’t like to invest on Ningguang, high investment with little outcome
And also my geo unit luck is horrible, somehow after 2y I only got Ning at c1, Gorou c2, yunjin c0 and lose 50/50 to Zhongli (like every character need to build up her team comp), If I got gorou and ningguang up c6 I would build her but for now nah…
Since it's Vars, Dehya is likely going to be in this.
*Doesn't include Dehya*
A suprise to be sure, but a welcome one!
@@ObviOneKenobi The Fatui called. They want their delusion back.
That the role of "tank" is made up by people who try to cope with Dehya's undertuned kit
Tanks do not exist in Genshin as they have no purpose.
If not, then I will be fine too.'
I'll still try out Qiqi if she comes to me and that guitar girl. Even if i don't become a fan of them, I do like seeing and trying my own fighting style.
Some people dont even like Lisa and she is my main DPS. Mostly because of how quickly her Electro attacks comes, I rarely even need to use charged attacks.
You made a brave video and that's why i don't really want to disagree too much but I have to, the ningguang take is just objectively wrong
She's more of a burst dps than an on fielder due to her normal attacks being too weak. You just swap in, skill, burst, charged attack and swap out. This means that she fits into the window between navia's skills and has a purpose these, she can output more than decent DPS in that short window and navia, Bennet and XL will carry the rest of the rotation. She is not as bad as the others on and off the list. She also sees use against the wolf lord which isn't due to her being good or anything but that's more than you can say for someone like kaveh
And I'm sorry but kaveh is actually just the worst.
Vars always coming in with the bangers; I feel like he’s the only YTuber who’s pulled off using Dangan Ronpa’s OST as background music.
My top 5 no particular order:
1- Amber
2- Xinyan
3- Dori
4- Hydro MC
5- Aloy
Edit after watching the video: I would not put Ninnguang or Qiqi there, they are not good but there are way worse units out there.
She was my first main dps so i still brought her to the top with me haha.
omg the projectile blocking in overworld, I remember using Ning's barrier to shield my Amber from Hilichurl arrows while I shot charged shots at them ^^
If you have or ever get Lost Prayer, it's a nice buff to Ning for solo Abyss runs, and can be quite fun for Floors 9 and 10, sometimes 11, and rarely 12 :)
After playing since 1.0 started to play Amber just to feel things harder 😂
the saddest thing about hydro traveller in my opinion is not the terrible damage it's the fact that they feel awful to use, so I can't even use them for overworld exploration. I have tried so hard to get used to playing them but I can't, I had to switch back to dendro
same as everybody else i suppose XD
Vars forgetting about dori again, I would argue that both qiqi and ning are much much better than dori
the only people caring about how good a character is in relativity are meta slaves really. It's normal for gacha games to have older units be word the newer units. It's called power creep.🤷
ningguang isn't perfect but it's kinda wild to consider her top 5 WORST characters while dehya doesn't even make the list
One neat thing about amber is she actually allows for you to comfortably swirl pyro as kazuha while still having a hydro infusion in a hutao team. (Hu Tao/Xingque/Amber/Kazuha)
she does this particularly well compared to almost every unit because her burst can apply enough pyro in one moment for kazuha to swirl it in a hydro infused ult and then not applying pyro afterwards like other units(so she doesn't steal vapes)
her burst is also only 40 energy so it can be used every rotation and it gives pyro resonance, she batteries for Hu Tao and lowers her ER requirements, and she can hold a lot of artifact sets like instructor or noblesse(so xq can use ESF)
Because of this one extremely specific niche I would argue she's better than Qiqi or even the others on this list 😭

Is it really that hard to buff amber ? like does hoyo hate her or something ?
Hoyo definitely hates her... releasing Yoimiya on her birthday, then releasing Lyney 2 years later, and they rarely ever include her in events, even if it's a Mondstadt event. They didn't even make a proper reunion with her and Collei...
nah not just amber, they need to buff a lot of forgotten 4 stars.
i'd kill for even the smallest positive xinyan change at this point.
I will say that:
Ninguang helped me tremendously when the big Geo Rift Hound was in level 12-2 in the abyss because no one else at the time was quicker and more reliable to hit the weak points.
There. A case for Qiqi’s return.
uses for each character:
Ningguang: can be a worthwhile early to mid game(before ar 40 or so) hypercarry for players with a limited resources and characters, since she works by herself.
I agree 100% with everything you've said. As a Eula main...your joke was funny :3
I once saw a solo ningguang solo 3 star every floor on her side of the abyss lol
Call me ninguang cope but c6 has alot going for her , shield has elemental shred of nearby enemies, buffs geo who go thru it , and buffa her ult.
Love your idea of being able to hold her skill to place it more carefully, kinda like Geo Traveler?
I want a Geo unit that buffs construct damage with their skill and detonates all geo constructs for huge damage with the burst.
