Lost my dad in July (3 days before I started med school). Even in the few patient interactions I’ve had, I’ve seen my own experiences impact the way I interact w/ patients. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have no doubt that your father would be incredibly proud of not only your accomplishment of getting into medical school, but by the type of physician I can already tell you will become. You will have an enormous impact on the patients you serve 🙏🏽
I’m so sorry you experienced that. It’s definitely one of the hardest parts of being a physician, but learning the art of supporting patients and family members through this difficult time makes it one of the most valuable experiences we can have as well 🙏🏽
In addition to the point mentioned in the video that life is short, it also underscores the reality that our doctors are simply human too. We love you though for the commitment you undertake in undergoing such rigorous training to improve and preserve life.
That's so true! I thought of exactly the same thing when my 61 yo dad was dying of a type A &B aortic dissection 7 yrs ago and was gone within a month..only 2 things really matter- our relationship with God and our relationships with others..
Thanks for all you do, super helpful having you in my corner. I have a question, were all the papers you wrote in med school all primary or some secondary research papers ?
I worked there for a couple months while in high school, a lot of it was elderly people but sometimes I would see people 19-25 overdose and die. Sad place.
For sure it has, I’m in college now, Ive taken an interest in brain cancer and surgery so I hope to be a neurosurgeon, and help with what I’m able to. You were one of the people I used to watch in high school that inspired me, keep doing what you’re doing brother.
The most important thing is to know why we are on this planet ? what is the goal of our lives ? and what god wants from us ? It may be need a little bit of research , but when you reach to the answers you will know that it deserves . Hope a beautiful days for you
I’m so glad God uses you as a beacon, brother. You give me an insane amount of courage. Keep going!
Thank you so much bro! I’m truly honored!! Excited to see how God uses you too! 🙏🏽
Islam is the truth. reflect on the Quran and you will understand.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos! And it is a mixture: some systematic reviews (secondary), and some retrospective/prospective projects (primary)

It really is. I’m sure experiencing that at a relatively young age gave you quite the unique perspective as a high school student
