I love Roald dahl's stories. The first book I read that was written by him was the BFG. I bought that book for a book fair in my school. A few chapters in and I fell in love with the book. When I finished it, I started to research more about him. I found out that he also wrote books that were less wholesome than the BFG. The first dark story I read was "The lamb to the slaughter". Then I read the story "the way up to heaven", then the Hitchhiker. Then this story. This is a really nice story, at first glance you think that its gonna be a wholesome story, but as time goes on, it starts to get wierder and more intense. I think that is the main reason why many people are very interested in his stories. It has such a dark side that makes you wanna know what happens next, and that makes the reader focus on the book all day. I really recommend the English teachers to show this to their students, and I am sure the students will like it too.
