Thank you for your video! But there are still many inconveniences with Dreams at the moment. The ratings in the store are also continuously decreasing. I hope the official team can maintain frequent updates to address the issues raised by the community.
The biggest issue is the lack of fundamental graphic drawing features on the computer/ipad. These features are actually available in Procreate, causing the need to switch back and forth between two software programs when creating slightly more complex animations. This does not align with the logical use of an iOS application, as switching between apps on iOS is not as straightforward as on a PC. The app's ratings have been consistently decreasing, and currently stand at 3.8. This indicates that there are still some users who believe there are issues with the application.@@boozledbamboozeler3822
Procreate dreams is not a standalone app right now, it’s an app that allows you to create full length animations yes. You can draw in procreate (even rough story board with the animation assist). And then port it over . The only thing I wished they would addded on release is the snap shapes and lines. But again it’s not a standalone app rightnow, dreams draw function i find is only useful for small to medium alterations - colour correction you pair it with procreate get to create fantastic full length animations with quality artwork and animation. Really impressed with it so far hated the bottleneck of procreate animation assist but still two amazing apps for a flat rate! Amazing!
They have stated that the initial release is somewhat stripped back in order to get it out there and into people's hands but that there are definitely plenty more features to come. I assume it's due to not being able to reach their desired level of polish/performance in time for release. They mentioned this in their interview with School of Motion.
Hey thanks for the mouth shape and grouping tips. You went through everything in a couple of minutes rather than 20-30 minutes in other videos. Splitting and enabling/disabling layers is also just waaaay better than making and duplicating a million skngle frames. Gonna save like 70% time with this. Thanks a bunch.
thank you for your videos. glad i got the notification for this one as it reminded me of your channel so i can go back and review your videos. im a beginner to procreate and i got it to help plan fine art paintings ive done for years.
i only came here for the lipsync, you really helped me a lot with toonsquid, thank you so much, I stil prefer toonsquid because its easier to do the lipsync, again thank you❤
What a great update video. It’s exciting to be in on the release of a new program and explore along with everyone rather than being years late as I usually am. The developer site and their posts on Reddit are enlightening as far as what they have planned and their discussions with all the input is very exciting. This app seems to be off to a great start with great things to come.
The first thing that worries me in here is working on every individual frame to extend them to 2 games. Imagine the situation if you have a multi minute project and all frames need extending to multiple frames 😳
Yes, that would be quite cumbersome. I hope there will be a script for that in the future. Select all your frames and convert them to 2, 4, or 8 frames
Thank you, I was wonder, to export and do lip sync in ToonSquid with simbols, I wish it easy here to, I love app and you videos as usual they all time better, thank you for
If you tap a frame, then tap again, a menu comes up to set a hold. Then Dreams add one hold per second. You’ll see the frame plus a hold frame for each second.
That’s in Procreate, unfortunately Procreate Dreams does not have this function yet. But by selecting all the frames, dragging the edge of one and holding the other finger down, you are able to stretch all the frames up at once. That’s a decent workaround.
Stayf, looking at complaints about brushes in dreams, but same lack 😅 stabilizing and smoothing in same default Procreate brushes. -- In Brush Studio, some Procreate brushes have 0 stabilizing or smoothing. I think i'll do customized for my favorites and drag them to Procreate Dreams. In one video short a person zoomed in close on a stroke, a 4k resolution. The caption advice "Don't complain about jaggies, just zoom back out". -- Maybe people mistake high resolution is a cure for not having vector rendering?
In Dreams you can work in a larger canvas. If you know that you are going to zoom in on your artwork, draw it as big you want to zoom in to it. Then you don’t have pixelation. It is all about planning.
Yes you can. You can use that as a basis of your animation project and then group the whole animatic and animate over it. You can then easily turn on and off your animatic. That is a workflow I am going to use.
I want auto lip sync, wind effect, vector transform for full body turn, charachter tracher like adobe charachter and easy to use like procreate pro all in one. Any company who makes this app will be richest one
Correction, when dragging out a frame so it occupies the space of two frames, this increases the time that frame is shown by one frame versus 1 second.
@@StayfDraws forgot to say thanks for these videos, I find them quite helpful. I have many years experience in professional video editing, but this is entirely another world and I'm excited about it!
Not sure if this answers your question. But currently Dreams does not support green screen or similar keying when importing a video that has been shot in front of a green screen. I have made a request to the developers to consider adding that feature to hopefully an early update.
You can export an animation png sequence without a background. First press on the timecode and turn of the background. Then tap on the name of you movie and export as Frames as images.
Guys, when I import layered graphic from Procreate to Procreate Dreams it's imported as flat, all the layers are lost :( I saw in other videos that you can import layered file and work on layers in draw mode but it doesn't happen like that in my app, is this some kind of bug?
Thank you so much for this! I tried dreams yesterday and for the life of me could not figure out how to add or remove holds and did all of it painstakingly by moving each frame by hand 🥲 It’s definitely not an intuitive feature and wasn’t in the gesture controls either (or just that I didn’t see it when I checked maybe?) I honestly think with the timeline adjusting part in mind it’s not that bad as a new release software. With the lasso tool and a few minor adjustments it seems like a pretty decent on-the-go software!
I'm sorry I'm a little confused I couldn't hear the audio of the mouth so it's like you're randomly just throwing any mouth shape in an order how do I know which mouth shape to use? Can I hear it when it's time to the video?
This is a fast way to do mouth sync. I just listen to the phonetics instead of taking all the vowels literally. You can of course make more mouth shapes and apply them to each vowel and consonant.
Thank you for your video! But there are still many inconveniences with Dreams at the moment. The ratings in the store are also continuously decreasing. I hope the official team can maintain frequent updates to address the issues raised by the community.
What are the problems so far? Im inexperienced so im not seeing them now besides 2 crashes. It restored my progress unlike adobe tho.

Wow~ procreate dreams! Very good tutorial. Support..nice day🍀🍀
If you rename the layers to VISME A E I O U etc, you can skim through the audio super vasty droppping in the appropiate shape to sound
But you still need to it manually, right?
Correct. It's not going to run a sync for you, but it dosnt take that long@@StayfDraws

How do you duplicate frames?
Edit: nevermind, I just watched it, thanks!!
Is there a way to move a group of frames around? Im trying to create a loop animation. Not being able to move group of frames makes it really hard.
First select all your frames and make a group of it. Then you can move it around.
I'm curious to know if you can create storyboard animatics with Procreate Dreams.

One issue I hope they correct is that brush and palette import is included in the undo list.
Wait, so how does this work? You can't bring things into layers, so would you have to draw sll the lips for each project?
