As a musician this is the greatest ASMR. The soft music with the creative and relaxing use of the drum pads is excellent. I can tell youre a damn good percussionist too.
I'm not a huge "listen to music to fall asleep" person, but I AM a big tapping ASMR person. I believe primarily thanks to my ADHD, I have impulsive little behaviors where I try to find patterns and rhythms in everything I do whether it's walking, tapping my fingers together, etc. It can be frustrating at times because it makes it hard to concentrate when my brain trails off trying to solve rhythmic answers where there is no question. This asmr has COMPLETELY silenced that annoying little distraction bug, and I can't explain how much relaxation this ASMR brings me. Having the soft music in the background creates an itch/need to create/find rhythms within, and the drumming/tapping provides the answer for me simultaneously. It's creating an itch just for the sake of scratching it, and it turns my brain to complete mush. Awesome ASMR, genuinely. Relaxes me more than even some of my other favorite ASMRs. My mind has never been so silent

I think I kinda love this? It's very pleasantly put together and music is vastly underutilized in the ASMR genre. Your drumming ability is both entertaining and calming, the creative rhythm is easy to focus on and is very impressive! I think some improvements could be made. ASMR, in my opinion, is all about the atmosphere created. Perhaps moving the mat away from the mic at different instances or using something on top of the mass to slightly "soften" the taps would have a large benefit to creating something that "Tunes out" but remains in focus / attention; the background. I believe another commenter proposed simplifying the patterns. This would also be part of raising the background focus Ultimately, do what you enjoy! I like it, but I'm curious to experiment with it. Trying new things with this format to find new outcomes. Great choice in music too, def gonna give this another half hour or more to really get a feel for it.

Suggestion for future: maybe applying a hi-pass filter to the background music that already has drums, to give it that relaxing muffled “room next door” effect. I personally wouldn’t want it like that in every video but it’s a nice way to switch things up. Maybe even experimenting with effects on the training pad taps.
