Btw, y all you can add Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon to this list! I swear it’s so bad it literally represents everything that is wrong with the current streaming industry. It’s the Streaming Blockbuster equivalent of Antman Quantumania basically! You can also add Silent Night which earned a 0.5/5 score from me! Most garbage action movie I’ve ever seen!
2:06 this is actually just flat out false not only did the director know a lot about the game (and the creator of the game literally produced the film) but it is completely faithful to the core story of the game. Did you expect anyone who would want to watch a full movie that took ten years to make to just be a guy sitting in an office?
Yeah I actually agree that I simplified my review of Five Nights quite a lot just because my written version on Letterboxd was way longer! The fans probably find things to enjoy in the film just because of Easter Eggs and stuff like that but from a screenwriting perspective it is the dumbest thing ever to prioritise the point of view of Josh when you have such a rich story with the villains! That’s what I meant! Of course I didn’t expect him to be sitting in an office. But what if the movie was just him being stuck in the place for the entire movie and have to survive / figure out what was going on? It would have been an investigation type of horror movie à la Paranormal Activity where you simply cannot escape the horror you have to face it and try to understand it! But I’m glad you enjoyed the movie! Personally I think it was a huge missed opportunity! Not the worst movie ever once again like many people have said but still incredibly disappointing!
