Hi Neil and Ant, we were at Burghley a few days ago too. One of these days our paths will cross. What a stunning place with beautiful rooms and fantastic painted ceilings. You have done an amazing job of covering this wonderful property. We have joined Historic Houses and looking forward to going back to see the gardens again in summer. It was good that the south garden was open to see all the lovely spring flowers. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Thank you for sharing this great video. We enjoyed watching so much. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️

Incredible! Wow! Burghley House truly is 'spectacular," both inside & out! The style of the exterior of the House, along with its design, as well as the stone used to build this House, reminds me a little of Highclere Castle. It resembles Highclere Castle quite a bit, except the exterior design of Burghley House looks more decorative & slightly more elaborate. Just beautiful! The Rooms & furnishings within are also just beautiful! Not to mention the fabulous Paintings & Artwork on the walls & ceilings. Outstanding! I also really loved the black & yellow bedroom especially! The design & decor in this lovely room is delightful! Indeed! Beyond that, the Gardens & Grounds are also very beautiful! As well as, the 'Garden of Surprise,' which actually really was! It was totally unique & unusual! Well, lads, this was truly a wonderful experience at Burghley House. Thank you for sharing it with us. Blessings to you both!

Hi 👋 This is by far one of the best homes you guys have shown. It's mind blowing !. The painted ceilings are amazing. It's perfection. How did they build this structure ?. It's so old. I would love to stay a night there.

Hi Carl 👋 Burghley is mind blowing it is one room after another that just mesmerises! With regard to the painted ceilings Antonio Verrio spent a year painting the "hell" ceiling alone! He worked completely unaided it must have been very physically demanding to lie on your back for such long periods of time on primitive scaffolding but it's incredible that it has survived and that we can all still gaze up at it today! Have a great day! 😊

@chrisisjustme7546 Thank you for your message. Yes it must have been painstakingly difficult painting that ceiling. But what a splendor it is . From Carl.

I believe the Cecil’s at one point hooked up with the Vanderbilt’s of Biltmore in Asheville NC. and manage the estate to this day. Any truth in this? Great job on filming your tour! Thanks 🙏

Hi James, thank you so much for watching our video and taking the time to comment... we understand that Cornelia Vanderbilt married John Cecil early in the 1900s... this created a connection that lasts until the present day. We imagine some of the vast Vanderbilt fortune possibly crossed the ocean to Burghley! Have a great weekend and best wishes to you... Neil and Ant 😊

It always makes me wonder with these stately homes that are still lived in, when the house is closed to the public, do the owners wander those beautiful, vast halls and rooms? I mean just grab a pint and wander. I know I would, lol.
