Happy holidays, everyone!! Welcome back to this year's YULE TOAD!! Today's the very last day of this event!
Yule Toad is a 12 Days of Christmas-based event that features twelve consecutive days of uploads!! This year's Yule Toad features songs suggested (or based on suggestions) by you, the viewers! Other songs during this event are based on suggestions by the lovely artists who have helped make this possible, as well as songs I just genuinely felt like doing myself.
Today's first song was a suggestion by multiple people, being suggested anonymously, as well as by Red [ / coat-of-red ] and the_darkblue, who all suggested making Koopa the Quick's "Attack of the Killer Queen"!
It's been exactly one whole year since we had another entry for the Super Mario 64 x Deltarune AU, I figured it'd be an absolute crime if I didn't revisit it for Yule Toad. I'm glad I got to, though. If it hadn't been suggested I probably would've used one of my own picks for it for this run of Yule Toad. Hopefully it'll be less than a year until we get the next song, but I suppose I can't make any specific promises about that.
Koopa the Quick and Bowser end up working together, rigging up the toughest arena they could to put a stop to the trio before they get a chance to obtain the Power Star.

Actually LOVE how characters are all treated equally here. One m8ght expect Bowser to be shoved into one of the hugely important roles... but no, he's Berdly, and Koopa the Quick is Queen. It's great, and leads to a lot of really intereating matchups.

Koopa the Quick realizes his choice of weapon is impractical, but keeps using it anyway because it's kickass.
*Koopa the quick brags about his speed
*Bowser promptly tells him to shut it
* Bowser states he can go much than that he can go much faster than that “filthy koopa traitor.”
* Bowser trips.
Koopa the Quick: I’ll give ‘em the old 1 2 for ya boss.
Bowser: Put a sock in it Koopa Crapper!
i can imagine a really cool soul mode for a koopa the quick battle
its basically a modified version of the blue soul, where you and koopa the quick race to the end of the attack, reaching the flag stops it, and if you loose you take damage based on how far ahead koopa the quick was.
bowser will also come in with his own attacks causing extra hazards to appear on your side which deal damage like normal.
really good idea considering koopa the quick is considered a sort of Berdly

Its crazy how each of the tracks for this AU has such unique sounding music despite reuising so many mario leitmotifs. Always a pleasure to see a one of these, a mario.
I love how Bowser’s motifs kick in for the second half, just like Berdly’s in Attack of the Killer Queen

I don’t think it’s actually Bowser’s brother (as cool as that’d be), but rather regular Bowser with the colors of his brother, as he is in whatever the equivalent of a dark world is in this video.

Dimentio from paper mario should be one of the fights, to be perfectly honest. He would fit in well as a "darkner" character fight like Jevil, or as a possessed "lightner" character, like Berdly in the queen fight. If not, Koopa the Quick could stay the "berdly" stand-in, but you would have to think hard about a possible Noelle stand-in.
This AU only makes use of characters featured (or intending to have been featured) in Super Mario 64.
Also Koopa the Quick isn't at all the Berdly stand-in.
Rather Bowser is the Berdly stand-in and Koopa the Quick is the Queen stand-in. Also, the bad-guys are the lightners and the allies to Mario are the darkners.
