    1. Yeah Lance Reddick played Zeus. This was one of his last projects that he filmed and was released after he passed.
    2. If you think Luke was murderous here wait until you read the book version lol. There was no fight, they just had a conversation and Luke just suddenly set a poisonous scorpion on Percy and left him to die
    3. One last difference between the book and the show: In here Gabe turned to stone bc he opened a package that's not meant for him and Sally just divorced him. In the book Sally was rather more active in getting rid of Gabe; she was the one to give Gabe Medusa's head herself after the package was returned to Percy. Make of that what you will.

so most of the campers only stay there during the summer, and then they go back to their human parent or guardian for the school year. The idea is that while at camp, they learn to defend themselves from monsters who will find them in the real world. As you would assume, with this approach most greek demigods don’t make it to full adulthood. There are some kids who stay year round, which is what Annabeth has has been doing since she first came to camp. It’s her first time going back to her dad for the school year. The scene of the trio saying goodbye was at the end of summer.

I actually think that Kronos would keep Percy at least somewhat safe. As he said his revival is somewhat dependent on Percy's survival, and he can be a little manipulative so I imagine him doing so to make Percy believe that he is good, or at least better then the gods.

Epic Finale Reaction! The fight between Percy and Ares was good. I definitely loved how Percy confronted Zeus regardless of what could happen, and how we get to see Poseidon’s love for Percy, when he not only intervenes, but surrenders to his younger brother. But I think the best thing that they definitely did adapt well for the finale was the revelation of Luke’s betrayal. Not only how they had used the flashback of sparring practice to foreshadow Luke and Percy’s duel, but how surprisingly Annabeth was there to witness it as well. You can see how this act of betrayal affected all three of them. Luke was a brother to Annabeth, was a friend to Percy, and even he still felt hurt for what he did to them. I definitely did love seeing how not only do our Celestial Trio make the pact to meet back for camp regardless, but we get to see the aftermath of Kronos still planning his revenge and needs Percy still to make it possible. The fact that for the post credit scene was to see Gabe actually turn to stone was well executed. I cannot wait for the second season as I’m more interested to see how they adapt a new certain eye catching character.

Good reaction. I enjoyed a rewatch with you.
I do recommend you read the book if you can though. Even though its catered to kids, it's absolutely worth it. It will give you a lot of "oh so that's whyy" moments for the series. ✨

the books still hold up as a solid read for adults imo - hell, i still reread them every so often, and consider pjo to be one of my all-time favourite book series' and has been since i was maybe 8/9. it probs helps i have nostalgia for the series and an attachment to percy and the other characters, and i do consider pjo to be one of my special interests which adds an extra attachment to the series lol.
