Here in Dayton, Ohio we used to have New Flyer Voith buses as well. They used to sound like a plane was taking off & made some of the best sounds! I'd love to have buses that loud again lol

Im a bus driver too (UK).. to quit a job over a gearbox is just mad. There's plenty of buses and trucks i don't like driving but if they pay money im gonna drive them
@@Jimbo-gi7xn there’s plenty more jobs I take care in my braking as old grannies will ring the bell and then try and walk safely down bus I’ve seen that voith retarder throw so many to the floor At first bus noticeably worse as they set it much stronger for recharge

There are 4speed types on the generation .3E, such as the 864.3E, but you may be right been a DIWA.4
I always loved the whine of those Voith transmissions, they remind me so much of the ones used in the Flxible Metro, Gillig Phantom and Low Floor.😊

Nah…they’re MANs. SEPTA’s 04/05 LFs have the exact same axle. Meritors are what WMATA’s older NFs had.
