He sounds like dad, she is the perfect harmony. What they lack? The passion of the climb. It's one thing to inherit it, it's another to establish it.

Although I'm Mexican I love American culture, I feel to be an American, since I remember I've listened this kind of music, watch American movies, TRYING to speak in English, etc... Now that I am living in America is like a dream come true. I am REALLY living the American Dream.

For what my opinion counts, this is perhaps one of the most beautiful song ever written and performed. There is no better blending of voices and harmony as between family members. This is lovely. Nothing can spoil this . In 1967 I was a kid but in love with Nancy , hehehe I'm happy to be able to see this and replay it over and over. :)
Thanks a lot Nancysinatrafan and with your kind permission I am adding it to my favorites :)

Totally Agree this song is top class. When I play Frank Sinatra on Spotify this song comes on and he’s duetting with his daughter Nancy. But the interesting thing about this particular recording of ithat comes on, It records Nancy and Sinatra talking before they begin the song. You hear Frank Sinatra too advising the orchestra musicians on what he thinks would make it easier to sing this song. It’s so intriguing. Then they commence singing. And it’s perfect. Love him or hate him, but Frank Sinatra was the ultimate professional. And understood music deeply.

One can hear and see a LOT of his father in his voice and look (even handsomer than pere as a young man), uncannily. This duet of "Something Stupid" with his sister Nancy was a separate, companion alternative lovely cover of the song.

Really fond memories of the Sinatra's. The kids were in the spot light so early, the press hounded them. Nancy's " Boots" song was considered so provocative then, but was really tame on todays standards. Frank Jr. looked so much like his Dad. Rip Frank Jr. and prayers for Nancy and the Sinatra family.

Frank Jr's voice was so like his father, and Nancy had the makings of a good vocal singer and never got that chance with what she was allowed to sing. How fun it is to get to see them sing together. Life was tough for them in the industry and otherwise. It's just so earry how much they sound like their father, whether it's their tone or their timing. Wow.

I don't know how old you are, young i guess, and too bad for you. Frank jr was actually better than his dad, (technically) and could carry a tune. Nancy made a few odd million selling records with Lee Hazlewood, while you were sleeping or unborn. And even today Nancy is still known and appreciated, remembered and loved after 50 years. No one will remember you next year. How much you missed!! I doubt you ever heard Frank perform, perhaps you are tone-deaf like him, you are certainly stupid and insensitive and write untrue asinine things. Your ignorance is appalling.

Nancy singing a duet of the song called Things with Dean Martin is just as cute too. Nancy Sinatra had an amazing voice. A listen to her entire tracks on her album Shifting Gears, proves she had an amazing range with her voice. Her singing Neil diamonds song Holy Holly knocks is out of the park. Love it. That was an era where you really had to have a proper singing voice. No idiotic auto tune back then, to hide the fact you can’t actually sing.

Both of Sinatra's children were talented and would have had great careers if it were not were for the press, the association with their great father, and finally -and most important - with perhaps poor management. I feel this more to be the case with Frank Sinatra Jr.who was an excellent singer if he were only given the chance to show his talent. At least Nancy had a monumental hit with "Boots."

Great song! I never realized before just how much Frank Jr. sounds like his father when he sings. Same with Sean Lennon, listen to him and you could swear it was his father John singing.

I love this clip! We don't find this kind of humor around these days anymore. Nice'n mellow. Jr reminds me of his father a lot. Sorry he didn't make it though he still is a good singer.

Must have been just a little bit awkward to sing this song with your own sibling

They're performers. It's probably no big deal.

I'd be uncomfortable because I would be tempted to play along and get carried away if you know what I'm talking about?

This video is completely and utterly adorable and entertaining! I had no idea that Frank Jr was actually just as talented and more handsome than his father! Wow.
Just curious thought... is there a way to re-upload this without those unfortunate skips at around 1:58 ? That would be sublime. Thank you for sharing this with us.
