- In 1996, she began hosting a daytime talk show, The Rosie O'Donnell Show. The show proved very successful, winning multiple Emmy awards, and earning O'Donnell the title of "The Queen of Nice" for her style of light-hearted banter with her guests and interactions with the audience. As part of her playful banter with her studio audience, O'Donnell often launched koosh balls at the crowd and camera.

This interview with these two lovely people is so delightful! Their relationship of love and friendship is so real. They are completely at ease with one another. They way they touch each other and respond is soooooo Cute! My favorite of them. They act like a loving, married couple.

I am 54 jr.The first time i watch the sound of music,i fell in love with it.Still watching it.I know they love each other, but they had their own fam.So my point is:they became best friends and soulmates.
i really admire this two movie star since ithe first.time i watched their first movie together The Sound.OF MUSIC.I was only thirteen years old by.that time and up to this time l' m 69years old still I do watched it very often I LOVE YOU BOTH

Arthur Christopher Orme Plummer, who lives in Weston and has owned a home in Darien, turns 84 on Friday. The Canadian theater, film and television actor was born Dec. 13, 1929, in Toronto, Ontario.
Plummer made his television debut in the February 1953 Canadian Broadcasting Corp. production of “Othello” and also appeared regularly on America television throughout the 1950s on both dramatic showcase programs such as “The Alcoa Hour,” “G.E. True Theater,” “Kraft Theatre” and “Omnibus” as well as on episodic series. He has appeared in nearly 100 TV roles in all.
He made his film debut in 1958s “Stage Struck,” and notable film performances include “The Night of the Generals,” “The Return of the Pink Panther,” “Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country,” “The Man Who Would Be King,” and “The Insider.”
He is best known to film audiences as the autocratic widower Captain Georg Ludwig von Trapp in the hit 1965 musical film “The Sound of Music.”
In the 21st century his film roles include “The Insider” as Mike Wallace, “Inside Man” with Denzel Washington, the Disney-Pixar 2009 film “Up” as Charles Muntz, the Shane Acker production “9” as ‘1’, “The Last Station” as Leo Tolstoy, “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” as Doctor Parnassus, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” as Henrik Vanger, and “Beginners” as Hal.
He has won numerous awards and accolades for his work, including an Academy Award, two Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, a Golden Globe Award, a SAG Award, and a BAFTA Award. With his win at the age of 82 in 2012 for his role in “Beginners,” he is the oldest actor and person ever to win an Academy Award.
I loved this interview with these two. Their love and affection for one another is so obvious. The looks and smiles they give one another are so precious and the display of affection. Julie has the cutest laugh. They are so loved by their fans.

They never mentioned Eleanor Parker who played the Baroness.
Although Plummer rather grudgingly appreciated the success of the film, I think it did somewhat annoy him that it overshadowed his other work. But he had one of the most incredible late-career surges, getting three Oscar nominations while in his 80s!
