      @@artofficialintelligence2875 Basketball is a team sport, off the top of my head, I can't think of any one team that won a championship with only a single HoFer. Pip was great, but not the unicorn Jordan was, so I believe with some other HoFer to compliment him, Jordan could still win some rings.

    • @miggs80
      @miggs80 4 года назад +15

      Art Official Intelligence Jordan won his first playoff series when Pippen only averaged 7.9 points per game lol. Jordan was also the MVP, defensive player of the year, scoring champion, and steals champion that same year. You’re just butthurt so naturally you’re in denial.

    • @artofficialintelligence2875

      Stone Chen ur abs right
      I thought it was "tell Scottie to do his own documentary and i WONT be there for it"
      But now i see it says the opposite...
      anyway ur abs right its the ultimate Team Sport and ur abs right Jordan is the Best to ever lace em up (No Debate!)
      But being that basketball (like every other Team sport) requires a Full Team effort.. i found it puzzling (not surprising knowing the type of guy MJ is) that Scotties 2mins out of 10 hours of the series was spotlighted as a Great Player.. the rest of the series painted Scottie as this sorta selfish, unreliable player when He was SOO MUCH MORE!!
      So yes Ur right MJ may have some rings but not 6, and not without Scottie as a Teammate.. thats just my opinion.

If it’s about mj life then his kids and wife of the time are a big part of it. He just doesn’t want the real dirty out there. Which I hate, if you’ve made riches off of fame then that’s life an cameras will be everywhere. He’s lucky he didn’t grow up in the same era as LeBron, with social media mj would of been screwed. or, pippen could just have passed the ball to kukoc (the moment he became stagnant). i dont really see what changes so much when kukoc moves inside. then pippen is at kukoc's spot, and then what? doesnt look like he's gonna get a much easier shot there. he got stagnant before that, when both kerr and kukoc were in the corner. later kukoc is shortly free to catch and shoot, but doesnt get the ball and has only very little time to move. yes, he should have moved further but even if he moves with kerr, pippen is, as said, "just in the corner".. what i can see they could have done differently is to have both kukoc and kerr not there to begin with. but i guess the play wasnt designed. to call it "messed up by kukoc" is thus too big a stretch to me. had it really been messed up by kukoc, phil would have written sth different in his book.

  • @leptonparticle238
    @leptonparticle238 10 месяцев назад +1

    All the points are valid other than Kukoc messing up the play before that last against the Knicks. He didn't mess it up, and that had nothing to do with the next play. During that season Kukoc hit several game winning shots and he was a far better shooter than Pippen, so it made sense to draw the play for him.

    @tangaraspeedgoda7436 4 года назад +8

    1- The Van Gundy story happened the previous season, in the regular season. So it had nothing to do in the documentary.
    Funny how people think it was a pro-Jordan documentary. They just didn't go into the details of the championships or the games (not even the great Jordan games), except the last one I believe and they weren't talking about statistics. The doc was about the big picture of an amazing story and the main character was (and rightfully so) Jordan.
    Otherwise, I can also tell you this: Did you know that the 1998 Bulls supporting cast is the worst scoring supporting cast ever in nba champion history? Jordan won in 1998 with the lowest scoring supporting cast ever in nba playoffs history (shot clock era). That's what you call carrying a team, but did they talk about that? No. Why?
    So, I think those criticisms are unfair, I think Jordan has been portrayed worst than Pippen (there's pretty much nothing you can do about his basketball exploits) overall. At least with Pippen, it was facts. Things that nobody missed if you were a fan in that era. With Jordan, there was a deliberate will to make him appear a certain way...there were some interpretations etc.
    I think Pippen is a great guy and a great player but everything they told about him were facts. And he had the chance to say something, he said " I would do it the same way, I don't regret it".
    I think at the end of the day, they made MJ teammates look like great players and that's not really true, relatively speaking.

    I used to be the biggest MJ fan. But his Prima Donna attitude is his downfall. It’s all about him. Sometimes he forgets about Phil. Sometimes he forgets about Scottie. He looks down on his teammates. Will put other greats down unless they bow to him. No thanks.

    Last Dance has only 10 episodes. If there were to be everything - all the stories, all the players, all the key moments, all the ex-wives, ....., for the years 1984-1998, then Last Dance would have to have at least 100 episodes. Most of the stories missing in Last Dance are on RUclips (matches, interviews, legendary trash talking, reactions of participants and possibly their versions of events .....) - your videos are proof of that. Would I like it all in Last Dance and have a documentary of 100+ episodes? Hell yes. But it has, unfortunately, only those 10 episodes. Unfortunately. But thank God at least for them.

      Great comment! It's never good enough for some smh!! Not saying this in regards to the video maker cause he's just pointing shit out so nothin but respect to him, I'm just saying in general. I'd love to see the full 100hrs as well lol! I know 99.9% of the stories but I'll watch them 100% of the time

    One other thing, The Last Dance "changed", was the fact it took the Bulls 4 years to finally beat the Pistons in the playoffs. The documentary made it seem like the 3rd time was the charm that the Bulls got passed Detroit. But they lost with Doug Collins twice, and then Phil Jackson... the 4th year though, is when they "put them in their rear view mirror" (as one of the players said in TLD).

    The thing about not interviewing Luke due to budet reasons is BS . Its not like to cost of flying to Australia is is a huge expense , worst case they could have done it in other ways . As an Australian we are all very pround of Luke's achievements and he was very underated as a player

    They even left out the stolen jersey game and when he wore number 12. Like come on how do you leave that out. Or even the two famous duels against Mutombo. When he shot the free throws eyes closed and the game when MJ finally dunked on Mutombo.

    I wish they would of extended beyond that a little and showed what happened to the players when the team was dismantled. Like Scottie finally getting paid in Houston, Kerr to San Antonio and winning a chip in ‘99 etc. Don’t have to go beyond that but just a little vs the text on screen we got at the end. As a Kobe fan I also wish they would of added him in more as he and MJ were close friends. I know the doc is about MJ but more side stories not being overused would of been nice.

    In that 4th quarter rally vs. Portland in Game 6 of 1992 Finals, Bobby Hansen made a huge three-point shot and then made a steal right after that to ignite the rally from 15 points down. One other thing too was during a game in January of 1991, to acknowledge MJ scoring his 15,000th career NBA point in Philadelphia two nights earlier, the Bulls management had PA man Ray Clay announce Michael FIRST during the iconic Bulls introductions. That was the first and ONLY time MJ was not the last player introduced during Bulls home game in his playing days with the Bulls.

    Point #6: Was in his HOF speech... Which has 19 million views. And he had told history 1000 times elsewhere. So...
    But last time you thought that Michael Jordan's yellow eyes from his alcohol consumption, where he wasn't confirmed at all, and Michael Jordan always had yellow eyes, but, your videos are pretty inaccurate and not really fact-based.
    Point #4: Could it possibly be that Michael would have made his teammates much better because he drove them so in training and during the game? And a thousand times Michael said that without Scottie Pippen there would never have been a Michael Jordan and he also praised Rodman in the documentary, he praised Steve Kerr and no idea who else. So that's completely pulled back by the hair. And you may forget that it's Michael Jordan documentary and not Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Phil Jackson documentary. They gave all the interviews, but the documentary is about Michael Jordan.
    You are really looking for the hair in the soup just so that you can post any video. Absolutely ridiculous.
    Point #3: MJ has said well over a thousand times, even in his Hall of Fame speech, that without Michael Pippen there would never have been a Michael Jordan. In 1997, when they won the championship and became Jordan's Finals MVP, he brought Scottie Pippen over and both of them lifted the MVP trophy and held it together. You are really looking for the hair in the soup just so that you can post any video. Absolutely ridiculous.
    Point #1: Why Should You Interview Michael Jordan Ex-Wife? The emphasis is on ex-wife, she was once his wife. And she got hundreds of millions of dollars from the divorce, and Michael Jordan was right to sign a marriage contract with his new wife, where she would get much less if she got a divorce. Why should you interview such a GOLD DIGGER woman? and why should she want to participate personally? my god if you are so interested in her, then write her yourself and for an interview with her.
    You only get the video views and only the clicks here because you are making a video about Michael Jordan, if it weren't for Michael Jordan you wouldn’t get as many video views at all, but you’re just complaining and grumbling, gosh, really a real envy

    Yes, as much as they bring up the Air Jordan scored all 9 Chicago points in the 4th qtr of 93 Finals Game 6, before Paxson's trey (which was assisted by Jordan to Pippen to Grant to Paxson), the 92 Finals Game 6 was the "others" led by Pippen and the bench who ensured a Bulls victory and second straight championship... They were remarkable against Portland and it is one of my favorite BULLS moments.

    MJ himself repeatedly praised Pippen and said he would not have been as successful without Scottie. The last dance went into detail about Pippen, Rodman and Phil backgrounds so the fluff stuff which anyone who has the “his Airness” dvd or other similar 1 hour dvd or vhs about Jordan and the Bulls first three-peat already knew about.

    The only thing about Jordan when it regards Scottie pippen in the last dance is he showed him not going back in the game the ending of game 7 against the Knicks but he left off the horrible hue hollins call against pippen in game 5 against the Knicks that caused the bulls that game 5 that's really weird to me.

  • @prisoner1990

    1. I wish they would’ve included the Van Gundy story in the doc. The footage of what Gundy said is out there and would’ve been a brilliant story to tell. Always wanted to know what Jordan said to Gundy when he was screaming at him at the end of the game.
    2. If the mass majority of people all have the same story but one is off, isn’t the one that’s off usually the lie detected?? Either way, we all know Jordan’s started with Nike and eventually became its own brand.
    3. Depending on who you are as a person may effect the way you watch the series. Whereas we know this is aimed around the life of Michael Jordan, he very much gives props to his teammates throughout the doc. He said “People can say I won 6 championships but I didn’t do it without Scottie Pippen.“ He called Dennis Rodman the smartest player he ever played with. Gave Paxton his props for hitting shots consecutively and he’s highlighted for taking the final shot in the 1993 championship final. A lot of players are shouted out and given their props if people choose to actually LISTEN to what is being said.
    4. Jordan’s ex wife not being in the doc could be down to her not wanting to do it. That too could be a reason.

    The biggest person left out was Luke Longley. He was the starting centre for the last 3 seasons, and he was not included. Very poor form because he and MJ just clashed. They were very different characters and that didn't suit the Jordan brand. 😢
