The sad part about this movie is that if it were made 15 years ago it wouldnt even be controversial. It would be just a regular comedy and people woukd love it but, now we have lost our collective minds and people will be babys about it.

I think Ladies Ballers should be put on more platforms. Sometimes even critics get lightbulbs when/where they least expect. I was totally leftist and liberal. Stumbled on Jordan Peterson when I was trying to find meaning in a stoic lifestyle. Listened to only his messages about life and then gradually about feminism. I started dabbling into the dailywire and their host, valuetainment... the rest is history. Its amazing how I went 180 degrees in my beliefs in just under a year.
That's neat! Never considered leftists as people who might be drawn to a stoic lifestyle.

I paid for dailywire this year, not only to watch this movie out of protest, but to also support Bentkey which has been perfect for my 5 year old who has really been enjoying it. I've been listening to the Dailywire boys for years on youtube, but it's about time I support the counter movement.

Regarding Serena’s comment about Andy Murray, she and Venus each played a set against an Australian male pro player who was ranked outside the top 200 at the time. He played golf before the match. He drank beer during the changeovers. He allowed himself only 1 serve. If he missed, it was a double fault. He won 6-1 6-2. Can’t remember which got the 2.
Long ago, McEnroe had said that the number 200 man could beat the No. 1 woman. He was severely criticized. Later, he was proven right by the above.

This looks like good ol fashioned mid 00's movie, and I'm all here for it. I started at center in high school and I'm so glad that was 17 years ago, because I would be getting my a** beat these days!
Great concept, poor execution. If this was a Will Farrel or Adam Sandler movie, it would be hilarious. But they don't have the talent. They need to hire actual comedians and comedic actors instead of just casting themselves and their friends.

It was a wise decision not to put this movie in theaters I don't think it would have done well at the box office dish movie was created to cater to daily wire subscriptions not to mention the right this movie will not appeal to a wider audience especially those that don't like cultural war. 7:11 My HS ' boys basketball team in '90 & '91 won the state championship in a medium sized state. When I see them highlight the top female players, they don't look as talented as those guys did. The height differences alone would be a huge advantage. Then there's the strength advantage. And the fact multiple guys on that team could dunk, which few WNBA players can do. Even if the ladies were much better shooters, they'd still lose. The boys could just pass the ball over their heads to the guys who could dunk, a near 100% chance score. Probably the WNBA champions could beat some, maybe even many, boys teams. But I think they lose near every time, if not every time, vs a good boys team.
Looking at the roster of the 2022 WNBA champs. The heights of their starters in order of their scoring is: 5'8", 6'4", 6', 5'11", 6'3". The top 2 players on my HS team I think were 6'7" & 6'8". One of those guys was also the state football MVP as a LB. Given none of the starters on the WNBA team is listed above 195 lbs, guessing he'd have no trouble pushing them out of the way. All starters on our team went on to play at a university.
I give it 3 years and the jokes in this film will be a reality 😢
