    Hi! Wow, wow, first thought, the mother of indoor plant pots! Lol. Then I was just thinking about how you cleaned the kitchen mess, lol. Me just reporting medium plants and I make a mess, not fun to clean that up, but joy in seeing the repot. Wow, such a huge project but so interesting to see the future results!
    The new plants are beautiful.
    The other one is a calathea rattlesnake.
    How will you treat for pests?

      Hello Joann, When I read the last line in your comment I just smiled and continued to smile through the day. I will be talking about this in a future update. The short answer is.... other than cleaning the plants with neem oil, I'll be doing nothing. Well, maybe I'll add some more insects from outside. In that update I'll talk a little about what this hobby is for me. Many people can engage in and enjoy the same hobbies but the reasons why and how they do things can be completely different. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the hobby, but maybe for different reasons than some might think. I've never had an insect infestation (that I couldn't control), and Im not trying to have one. But how interesting that would be. How would I deal with that, what kind of creative solutions could I come up with if forced to deal with that. I love to try to think outside of the box. Thanx for the comment, Thanx for watching.

    You could get a privacy screen made from natural material (willow/bamboo/bark) and cut it shorter to use as siding, it would make the planter blend in nicely.

    I have that same last plant you showed. Florida something. My last leaf since I put it on a wet moss pole is 1 1/2 foot long!!! Very good choice. You'll love it! My friend sent me this as a cutting a year ago and called it a Philodendron Squamaferium 🤔 I don't know but I know I love it!

    for 'true' drainage, you could've put a bulkhead, w/ another smaller pipe (drilled) placed inside the 4"er, and a barbed/valved fitting on outside. once a year, flood w/ RODI water (or gobs of tap) and let drain out w/ hose to outside. bye bye salts :) very healthy plants, you have :)

    • @junglenook
      @junglenook  Месяц назад +1

      Yes, I thought about that and it's a good idea. With the pipe I can check to see if water is laying at the bottom so I can adjust my watering as needed, and I can put a hose in from the top and pump out the water in the spring and or fall to flush it. I have a door next to the pot (pool) with a ditch right there. I've never grown indoors using only organics for nutrients and want to try that. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment and suggest other ideas.🌿🌿🪴🪴
