First Elden Ring Playthrough Part 1. Character Selection Through Godrick the Grafted

Part one of my Elden Ring journey edited from my playthrough that I am doing live on stream. This first part starts at the very beginning in Limgrave and progresses all the way through Stormveil Castle.
What were your first impressions of Elden Ring as compared to other games in the genre? Also, where do you think it ranks in the FromSoftware line of souls games?
So far, Elden Ring is one of the better open world RPGs I have played. The world doesn't feel too "empty" and the actual named locations are incredible (such as Castle Morne). It is those smaller locations where you need to figure out how everything is connected that is making the game shine for me so far. It reminds me a lot of Dark Souls 3, which is the only other souls game I have beaten (I did watch Dark Souls).
I know I am late to the party and there aren't many people who need to see an Elden Ring playthrough these days being as it's pretty old in the gaming world. In this video I tried to edit down to important characters and boss battles. Full footage can still be found in past live streams. But I wanted to document my first time anyway and also just get used to editing and going through hours and hours of gameplay (I know it's not perfect). So it's practice for me and I hope somebody can get enjoyment out of it.
