Such a great show, still makes me laugh, 50 plus years later!!!!
Amazing this original ending survived. If only someone e can find the original opened game and closing to 'Private Secretary' thanks for posting!
Camels killed my uncle. I know this was a different day in time, but I cannot forget.
after 30 days youre addicted
1:23 - "Boy, this is livin', hunh?" An ironic statement considering he supposedly was a ghost, on this program!
Clever!
Stuartfanning: Thank you so much for sharing this clip with us. Viewers, notice the writing credits at the end...written by George Oppenheimer and Stephen Sondheim (that's right). Also, if you did smoke an unfiltered cigarette (Lucky Strike, Pall Mall, Camel), I guess Camel would have been the "mildest" of the three. Please post more of these gems. Thanks again!
rolex452 0 Smoke enough Camels and you'll be a ghost too! But I shall climb down off my soapbox.
Originally telecast on October 23, 1953. Yes, young Stephen Sondheim collaborated with George Oppenheimer on several first season scripts...
🙆They didn't GET the jump !🙋 Mildness !❤
When people do try the 30 day mildness test they die of lung cancer...
Boy oh boy, did the cigarette company’s have everything and everyone by the short and curlies in those days....until we woke up.
Quit your damn belly aching about the cigarette ad. Lots of smokers never get cancer. and lots of non smokers are always getting cancer. People should be concerned with the TV show itself. The fact this series was neither spooky nor funny is what you should worry about. Thank God for the Munsters, and The Addams Family
George !! Marian !!
Anne always called her husband, Bob, "Robert."
Every package and carton contains a Government health warning, in most countries.
Not back then they didn't.
Didn't Philipp Rapp create radio's The Bickersons?
[dingdingdingding] Youuuuu got it!
Leo G Carroll made the show in my opinion ... the humor was rather predictable but the way he played it put it over. Always wondered why he got billed third when he was the title character?
Must be "Hobo Stu" 😉😊
Not at all close to an episode, but fun to see.
A complete CLOSE pronounced CLOAZ as in ending of the episode.
Too bad the cancer commercials couldn’t be removed
Perhaps a reminder of an unscrupulous and death dealing industry that still destroys today.
Inhale. Taste that flavor. Feel your lungs filling with tar. Get that lung cancer. American advertising at its best.
