This is the record for the park of hills. It's already huge to have it when you see that all the world's elite frequent this spot. Bravo to you for overcoming your fear and facing the tram in these conditions. your performance is enormous and full of courage
Riding that long in those conditions is pretty wild, and was certainly worthy of that record. Not to mention that anyone who has used woo enough knows there is enough luck involved that those 35's could all be the actual word record with the right read... you'll get there for sure!
@@marcel6880 it's hard to beat the woo community and apps maps/leaderboards, but it does seem like surfr is a bit more consistent... that said I seem to lose my surfr sessions half the time so go figure
@@jasonofmontreal yes woo community is big but reputation not super good. Also I think surfr is taking over especially with the standalone watch apps they now offer. I have been a serious woo user but dont think it has much future tbh. Btw never lost a surfr session myself, so cant comment on that but thats weird for sure
wow Evan, wat een geweldig resultaat! Top dat we elkaar bij de oliebollen gesproken hebben en wat een prachtige film van Tij. En ontroerend hoe jij belt met jouw vader en hoe jullie elkaar echt verstaan! Lots of success man!
chase it Evan, incredible how u are even find the courage to ride in these Leucate conditions, u did 35.8 whit this courage u will push it to 40 meters I have NO DOUBT!!!!!!!!!!
Wow that is some serious wind and some very mentally-challenging conditions. Love what your dad told you. Keep it up. Be smart. Make more videos. Maybe try to have some fun with it.
Groeten van Duitsland ...here my 50 cents...this video is one of the best I have seen from you so far. Really awesome! You are very lucky to have parents like this! Flysurfer and Boardschmiede are definitely one of the best brands on the market. Our friends (in Mirns) and my family are also very happy with both of the brands. Concerning the video...very nice details with the sounds etc. Keep on going with you content!
Chase. I'm not sure why you asked me to comment that, but no problem. This was great to watch, I really enjoyed it. I would not be surprised if you had actually jumped the highest in the world, there has to be a degree of inaccuracy in the measurements. That jump looked so high that it is surreal. Incredible work! Thanks for making the video.
Chase! Crushed it man! Your dad is a legend. Thanks for sharing the mental side of what this takes. You explaining the paradox of jumping being simple really resonated with me. I think we all have that, ie. we know we have the ability on how to execute but all your senses are telling you to not do it. Btw, check out rooster rock in Columbia gorge for crazy potential - we get days that are 80knots several times a year during fall & winter.
Great video! They seem to be getting better, one at a time. Really liked how you filmed your emotional process, going from anxiety to frustration, to joy. When you are kiting at the extreme, the mental challenges are going to get most difficult. Do you think if your kite had been Aluula, it would have given you that little extra advantage to get to the top spot??
Thanks for the support! Good question, I honestly dont know. I truly believe the ERA is the best kite out there to do it with. But certainly something worthy of trying
Gotta support a fellow Dutchie! This looks so insane, no words for it 👌 It's so weird to see what's possible for someone like me that has had 2 lessons and has to learn the water start yet 😂
Great video! Motivates me to chase the 30m in CPT finally. Going there today :) 2m to go but I feel it’s possible. there are some tricks that actually can boost you 10% higher 🤫
First session your Woo measured 31,8m and Surfr 26.4m for the exact same jump. I mean, how accurate is this device...? What did Surfr say for this "35.8m" Woo jump? Next to that, huge respect for going out in these conditions 🚀
@VianneyDFR , for sure. If Evan would tell us his line length (which clearly is less than 20m) for the "35,8m" jump we could easily check with some basic photoshop if its actually above 30m, which I doubt.
I’ve been out in 68kts on my 8m, it’s fkn mental, absolutely love it! We get it 3-4times a year where the water is like butter and the wind gets over 40kts gusting 60+ only issue is the water is knee deep at best!
Крутые предки, я позвонил маме в такой ситуации, она сказала домой идти, раз не получается! И на работу устроиться, мир не справедлив. Рад за тебя, приятель!
Yeahhh Evan! Congrats again for your PR. Keep pushing, we believe you can do it! Go for it, send it and reach 40m to show what you are able to achieve 💪🏽.
Wow that's crazy! And the support from you dad is just amazing!! 🤟😆 But still, the kill or get killed mentality is like the opposite of what he sad 😅🤣 Stay in the good vibes bro 🤟
The thing with Bacaress is really the wind. U just need to find that one gust thats strong and long enogh to boost you to the moon. Crazy pr keep pushing💪
I know its not "allowed" and ethically correct but you might want to put multiple woo's on your board. Woo's and other electronic accelerometer-type height sensors can have multiple meter errors. What i'm saying is that this might be the highest jump ever
You are correct that jumping on a kitesurfer is an easy skill. There’s a reason why kitesurfers are called danglers. You are basically just dangling from your harness. If you want a real challenge take up windsurfing. It requires a lot more time and skill to master. As a bonus you’ll get in much better shape. Props for going out in 60 knots though.
Chase the wind! I know it seems counterintuitive but have you tried the 6m? You might be able to hold down your edge more with a smaller kite. I was in 35 knots just the other day with my 7m thinking I’d rather be on a 6m.
Your dad is a legend for those wise words to help you focus
Absolutely agree
Perfect word at perfect timing to unlock your potential !
the dad or the year! godamn!
he got the perfect word for the situation!
This is the first vid where someone is saying it’s 60 knots and it actually looks like 60 knots. Incredible 🎉🎉
Actually gust measured at 73 knots that day.
I went out in 60knt once- it was gnarly as hell and a day I'll never forget. I wont be doing it again.
That’s crazy 🙌🏻
Hahah yeahh
What about Stormjees with Ruben Lenten?
Flysurfer need to hook you up with some board bags. .. 😂😂
This is the record for the park of hills. It's already huge to have it when you see that all the world's elite frequent this spot. Bravo to you for overcoming your fear and facing the tram in these conditions. your performance is enormous and full of courage
Mate, I love your videos you are such an inspiration thank you
I appreciate that! I will keep it going ❤️
Riding that long in those conditions is pretty wild, and was certainly worthy of that record. Not to mention that anyone who has used woo enough knows there is enough luck involved that those 35's could all be the actual word record with the right read... you'll get there for sure!
yeah the Woo is like rolling a dice 😅
Appreciate the message it was heavy yes
If only there were more reliable alternatives to woo. Oh wait there is
@@marcel6880 it's hard to beat the woo community and apps maps/leaderboards, but it does seem like surfr is a bit more consistent... that said I seem to lose my surfr sessions half the time so go figure

Yes it was!

Woo is never accurate
Woo is never accurate
Isnt Surf more accurate than woo ?

Well said!
Thanks for sharing and please keep on the CHASE!!!!!!!!!!
Absolute madness. It might sound stupid but couldnt it help to ride with thinner leading lines for less drag 😉
Could be, but that can also make the kite less stable
Chase 🔥🔥 amazing video
Thank you🙏🏻
Chase it man!!
Tanks for the support!!
Chase ! Stay safe buddy.
Will do thank you 🙏🏻
Yeahhh Evan! Congrats again for your PR. Keep pushing, we believe you can do it! Go for it, send it and reach 40m to show what you are able to achieve 💪🏽.

If Bacares had kickers that would be mental haha
Yeah, keep CHASEing!!
