This video really "hit close to home" for me. I've stuttered for over forty years because of having the illness called Reye's Syndrome at the age of ten back in 1978. Although most people knew of why I talked like I do, I still had those few people who would constantly "tease" me about my stuttering and my low - tone of voice. I am a female, and, one bully would tease me by saying "Man Talk! Man Talk!" That made me more or less shut down, and, it took years for me to realize how that person was wrong with thinking how she did. I still struggle with speaking now, but, I don't let it stop me from speaking to anyone. The only thing I don't really like doing is talking on the phone. I've tried the "slow down and think about what you're going to say" method. It helps me some, but, I still stutter a LOT. But, I refuse to let my "speech impediment" rule my life. Thank you to whoever put this video out here.

I had horrible problems with stuttering for a while back in hellementary school, but thankfully for me a professional speech therapist was able to help me to get rid of the stutters. Out of everything that she taught me, what helped me the most was being shown how the tongue moves during sounds and words (Hearing them slowly so I could see the exact movements), and the emphasis on the sounds of the vowels, like the a in apple, the e in egg, the i in igloo, the o in ostrich, the u in umbrella, then the 3 ys (Yellow, Dry and Lucky). But most importantly, lots of knowledge, repetition, compassion and patience from someone who truly wanted (And knew how) to help me :)

Stuttering or stammering is not a defect it's a mental condition and one can overcome this only by being brave. Do not fear anyone or any situation. 80%of people who stutters have very sharp mind use that to face every challenge . That's the only way and I am saying this by personal experience.....

The sad thing is that even at college there are some young people who believe the Professor's job is to "have Control" - at what age does a young person mature sufficiently to have self-control? to act in an adult manner; to use the time provided with a learned person to acquire knowledge, rather than begging to have their behaviour "controlled" by another adult? College kids should leave their kindergarten ways behind in kindergarten once they wish to carve out a future for themselves ad adults amongst adults

Narcissism is taught tremendously in this culture, is a major component of social media, the entitlement, the attention-seeking, the meanness. Where would you now expect these immature ones to receive proper instruction in character-building and correction? Do they even know why it matters?

A reality? Really? My experience is with American (U.S.) teachers and professors, and the worst thing about the video was how unrealistic the "professor" was. I've seen some ineffectual teachers (high school) and professors (university) in my day, but this guy was laughable. He was too unrealistic, and it spoiled the video for me right from the start.

I had been stuttering since i was 5. I've also faced many problems...couldn't get a chance to finish what i wished to say. Today I'm 32, things have changed....you just need to believe in yourself and don't loose hope. And most importantly need a person who motivates you and boosts your confidence.
