I'm over in Australia and I first heard that tune, which is called The Highland Cathedral, at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo one year and have loved it ever since and yes the bagpipes have that affect on me also ❤
Im commenting for my father who s not here anymore ...he fought in the last war and he would have been absolutely devastated by what s happening in our country that he fought for today.... the internet wasn't here when my father was but i would have got him on it to speak his mind on here....

I’m an American & listening to bagpipes & drums brings tears to my eyes for all those brave men lost in battle

Bagpipes aren’t meant to be associated with funerals forever though, it’s just great music, if you are attuned to it, it does bring chills though
Amazing Grace will be played as loud as possible at my funeral, know other instrument touches my soul like them. Beautiful!
